Sony Vegas; some questions

Hi,

I'm working on a Harry Potter project with 5.1 surround sound. I've extracted 6 WAV files from the original DTS file.

How do I map these to the right channels (FL, C, FR, RL, RR) in Sony Vegas? Is it the little orange box in Surround Pan? If I have the right back channel do I have to set it to "Right: 100%, Rear: 100%"?

Thanks for the help!

Goto: File - Properties...

Click on the 'Audio ' tab.

The first item should be 'Master bus mode'. Choose '5.1 Surround' in the drop down box.

Then click 'OK'

Now, each audio track can be adjusted to have the sound (of that track) come from where ever you want it to come from.
- Move the little orange ball around the square (with the five little speaker icons).

Ok, thanks I got it right but wasn't sure!

Btw, does anyone now how to stretch a video over more time? So it basically plays in slowmotion.

Thanks! One more question, I know I can disable the automatic audio crossfades but how do I remove an already made fade?

Edit: Found it already

I now have another problem, I mux my h264 files into a MP4 container so I can import them into Sony Vegas. One file plays fine in Media Player Classic (with K-Lite codec pack) but stays black in Sony Vegas, though it displays one thumbnail.

Try remuxing with MP4Box.  You could also convert the problematic file to lagarith with Virtualdub, which is probably the better option.

I already solved, remuxing with MP4Box didn't solve it. A different encode has done the job.

Are you using a retail, digital or torrent of Sony Vegas Pro? Wake me up when you work on a worthwhile series.

Are you sure?

Maybe Fremendar just wants The-Lion to quit so that he can do his own edit of Harry Potter, and become super famous?!
