Silly question about LD

Hi, as I don't have any LD or LD player myself, I was wondering what is the original framerate (fps) of the films on this medium. I know that dvd were mostly 29.97 i/s, but was it the same thing dor LD or were they in 23.97 instead ?

Thanks to answer

The original framerate of the films is always the same: 24.  However, NTSC laserdiscs were always hard-telecined, so they are all 29.97i.

Correct. Unless, of course, they're Laserdiscs of material shot on video and require no pulldown.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

That's true, but films, i.e. movies, on LD were originally 24fps, which is what was asked.  Productions shot on video are not films, and only exceptionally rarely do films contain sections of true video material, which is not to say that it does not happen.
