Sheena 1984 *RELEASED* — Page 2

I've watched it all the way through and think this is a terrific restoration. How you pulled it off I don't know. Look at the studio released CAT PEOPLE and barf at the smearing DNR mess. Then look at this and wonder why Team Blu isn't running those damn studios. They should.

Great job on the audio, encoding and even menus. It's just terrific. Now... I am not a fan of this film. Really, it's so bad. But in a usually fun kind of way. If you would take care of one of MY 80's favorites I would worship Team Blu for all time.

Just watched this last night, fantastic work.  As previously stated, considering the source, I've got BD's from the studios that don't look as good as this, and I watched this on a full HD Epson projector on a 10 ft screen

Congrats to all involved and many thanks for welcoming me on board here

I'm guessing Cat People (1982), or maybe i'm wrong?

Well there are a few, but I don't know if a way in which you could do it. GOTCHA is an all time favorite that will likely never see a Blu-Ray release. I have it on D-VHS, 1080i 2.0 mono (copy once recorded).

The ones I want most are Hong Kong classics that were screwed up on DVD and Blu-Ray, like FIST OF LEGEND and A BETTER TOMORROW. Of course ABT has never had an HD transfer that I know of.

If anyone out there knows how to bypass 5C Copy Protection, damn straight I would share it.

Looks like Sheena and White Buffalo are no longer on MS. Can anybody remedy that? I've got a seedbox now, so if they can be re-upped, I'd happily keep them seeded long-term.

Appears as the OP deleted their MS account.

Nah, Dark Jedi's still there. It's just some of the Team Blu stuff (not all) has vanished.

I have been waiting to view this for a while, but been unable to.  I previously watched parts of the film before while traveling and thought it would be very campy (white haired villain, horse painted with zebra stripes).

However, this turned out not to be the case.  Sure it has some minor moments, but I think Peter Jackson's films are much worse.

As for the film, the presentation is very nice.  The colors seemed a bit red on my screen, but it most likely is due to the film's age.  (I have seen 35mm that looked far worse from aging.)  I have only listened to the 2-channel PCM and it sounds just fine.  I will listen to the others at a future date.  Great job Team Blu!

Going back to the movie, it had a decent budget.  I just can't see it being made today with the children playing young Sheena and the mass quantity of animals.  I didn't think acting was all that bad either.

Hello there!  My name's Gary Gerani.  In addition to being a screenwriter and nonfiction writer, I'm a movie buff with a wacky fascination for Tanya Roberts' SHEENA movie.  As a matter of fact, I'm the guy who videotaped that HBO coverage back in 1984, then presented it to the web for everyone to enjoy.  Cool that it was included in this Blu-ray release.  Which brings me to the main point: How can I obtain a copy?  I'm no techno wiz and I'm not looking to download anything; I'd just like to purchase a physical copy of the SHEENA blu-ray with whatever extras come with it.  Can you help me out? Thanks so much!  Best, Gary Gerani  altara2@aol.com
