We're talking about Star Trek? I must admit I watched it and I've seen the movies, but this is just too geeky. I'm outta here...

War does not make one great.

Ha Ha. Yes I am. While we're talking about Star Trek though, can we consider Voyager to be a kind of sequel, because if so there's one that should never have been made.

No Star-Trek movie should have ever been made. Including the ones that weren't sequals. They should never have been made, on account that I've never even bothered to see any of them, therefore they must be in terrible taste.

If you know anything about the TNG crew, then you should see First Contact. Also, if you like to watch the Borg bet their Collective face rearranged, then it's a fun movie.

So let me understand this. Just because you haven't seen them, that means they are in terrible taste?!? Haa!

I can't say I'm the biggest Star Trek fan, but at least I've seen all the original cast movies and all but one of the NextGen cast films. So I can offer a more qualified opinion. I still say the even-numbered movies are great. The rest can rot.

The same could be said of the Stuart little cartoon.

Interesting side note: David Kaufman, who did the voice of Stuart Little, played by Micheal J Fox in the movies, was also the voice of Marty McFly in the BttF cartoon, also starring Michael J Fox.

PC 2 also shouldn't have been made.

Then again, the idea was bad to begin with.

Scary Movie shouldn't have been made.

'twas a joke. Neither of the sequels should have been made either.

Here's another one in the works...

I'm sure Shimmy will be happy to see it being done in India, but that doesn't mean it should be done, period.

Douglas to Film New 'Romancing' Sequel in India

BOMBAY (Reuters) - Oscar-winner Michael Douglas (news) has signed up Indian film producers to shoot a sequel to the films that helped make him a big-screen star two decades ago.

Douglas, 61, will produce and star in "Racing the Monsoon," which will revolve around a diamond robbery in India and follow up on the pair of 1980s hits, "Romancing the Stone" and "Jewel of the Nile," India's Percept Picture Company said Tuesday.

Aishwarya Rai, a successful Bollywood actress who is now trying to crack Hollywood, is likely to play the female lead.

"This will be a Hollywood film, inspired by India, which will be shot here with a mostly Indian cast," said Shailendra Singh, managing director of Percept, which will co-produce the film with privately owned Sahara One Motion Pictures.

The film will be directed by Steven Carr, who shot "Daddy Daycare" and "Doctor Doolittle 2." Production is due to start by the end of 2005.

"Romancing the Stone" was a 1984 action film starring Kathleen Turner and Douglas. "Jewel in the Nile" featured the same pair a year later.

Douglas, who went on to take the Oscar for best actor for "Wall Street" a few years later, has since starred in "Basic Instinct" and "Traffic," among other movies.
