Christmas 1995 I even got one of those power-ranger themed tent things that used to be so popular.

I've never heard of it. For my 1995 Christmas I got the Megazord set of whatever season was airing then. (I'd only gotten a SNES in 1994)

Hey, I was seven years old, I didn't know any better.

I also got some Star Wars stuff that year as well(even though I hadn't seen Star Wars yet).

Before 1997, I always hated StarWars because I thought it was just like StarTrek, which any kid will tell you is boring, even though they're wrong.

My first exposure to Starwars was from the spoofs in that ancient Muppet Babies cartoon... I guess it was good for something.

Mine was when they showed the OT on tv all the time. Now they show the stuff you see in the DVDs.

Did they even have PowerRangers during your youth?

Also, does anybody think it's weird that they never show the Starwars movies on TV? I've seen SW on TV once in my life, back in 1999 or 2000, I guess.

You can honestly tell me that you didn't watch a childrens show when you were a child? Ever?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III was a sequel that shouldn't have been made.

Not so much that I dislike it, but it wasn't as good as the first two, and besides, Shredder's story was told. It was the end.

Lets hope for no more "Lethal Weapon" sequels and no more sequels to "The Terminator". T2 was enough, T3 was an insult. No more sequels to Alien either.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

I agree; all those franchises are very tired and 'done'.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

And hopefully no more "Matrix" sequels, despite how hard it would be after "Matrix Revolutions" you know there's someone out there who probably thinks there's still money to be cranked out of that franchise. "Star Trek" also seems to be pretty much fried at this point.

Can you imagine Mel Gibson doing "The Passion of the Christ 2: The Revenge of Jesus"? I can see it now - Jim Caviezel come back from the dead and ready to whip them Romans and make them suffer the way they made him suffer.

Do you think they should stop making James Bond films?

Not necessarily, DAD wasn't all that horrible.

But since Brosnan is out of the picture, I say go for it, we need a new face.

The weakest Bond films IMO were the ones that came late in Moore's run (A View to a Kill, Moonraker), they definitely shouldn't have been made.

I don't like it when people critisize Dalton though, I thought he did a great job as Bond, much closer to Fleming's cold-hearted character than Roger Moore's clown-in-a-tux.

I think they should do what they did post-Dalton: take a hiatus of about 6 years, then revive the franchise. However, it appears that they plan to revive the franchise with a Casino Royale remake, casting a much younger Bond, which wouldn't be a bad thing either.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Plus they should explain how he constantly regains his youth. That warrants an explanaiton.

Don't bail on Bond yet. The franchise has some life and some rebuilding to do after the Brosnan run. I like Brosnan and I always thought that he would be a great Bond (dating back to him being on Remington Steele when they originally tried to cast him). But the films with him in it were terrible. I just don't fault him. The writing was horrible. There hasn't been a single Bond film since Dalton left the franchise that hasn't made me fall asleep. Dalton was the last really good Bond in terms of acting and writing. He was great but got panned critically and popularly. I still stand by License to Kill as one of my favorite Bond films of all time.

But I also have to say that I do like Roger Moore as Bond simply because I grew up with him as 007. He was my first exposure to the franchise so I hold a special place in my heart for Moore and his pompousness. Much like how many of you have a special place in your heart for the SEs of SW. Imprinting. Remember? Same way I prefer Van Halen with Sammy Hagar over David Lee Roth (not to mention the fact that they were more musically creative and original with Sammy at the helm as opposed to a couple albums that border on 30% cover songs with Roth).
