Thanks Bilditup1, 7FN, and You_Too for your nice words about my tape.

Thanks you Puggo for the transfer.  To clarify, the tape already sounded great, Puggo's deck just made sure no fidelity was lost in the transfer.  I.E., there were not any enhancements or changes made.

Any idea what tape deck your Mum used for this? Must have been a pretty good deck and mic?

man, it's just a shame the recording cuts out right before the credits.  Was looking forward to hearing any applause at the end.

Really enjoyed listening to this, many thanks to all involved with this project

The quality of the recording was surprisingly good; better than I had expected.  Unfortunately, it is indeed the 35mm stereo version, so it didn't help me any with my project as I'd hoped.  Clearly the recording was made at some point before the Cine Capri received a 70mm print.  Still, it was very interesting to hear all the audience reactions to the movie.  :)

Please...PLEASE tell me this is ending up on the despecialized edition.  A gotod quality audience track is such a natural companion track for Harmy`s project.

Just finished listening to it, the quality was better than I expected. So hope this eventually gets synced with either the Puggo Grande or Harmy's Despecialised edition.

FYI, the ultimate thanks for this go to Protocol Droid (it's his mom's recording) and Puggo (who did the capturing and conversion to digital).

I am but a lowly servant ;)

Just like everyone else, I was surprised at how good the recording sounded considering it's age. It's nice to hear the audience reactions!

Coincidentally, there is a discussion over at dvdtalk.com about audience reaction recordings with links to some youtube clips.

Remarkable!  As an old projectionist, I used to love going into the house to hear crowd reactions.  This will be like a virtual time machine to the 70s.  PM sent. :)

I plan on synching it with the PG.  But PSB comes first.
