I hate anything that would lead to unnecessary expense to LFL. I'm not sure a full 120 minutes would be worth the effort. I've been trying to stay away from CGI and go with straight forward practical stuff, but real, practical sets can be more expensive. Every penny LFL spends on what is unnecessary can't be spent on improvement. I admire GL's determination to give half to charity, but I hope he defines his personal wealth in such a way that his LFL successors are left as strong as possible.

This is all pie-in-the-sky distraction for fun, but it can show that there are ways to improve the SW franchise. Anything that has had such an immense cultural impact rates improvement.

     Anyhoo, in that vein,

If Padme and Ani were 10, 6 years later they would be 16. Ani might swoop in at the end, Solo style, and save the day. Then he could appear at the parade. Maybe there could be shots beforehand, from a distance, of Ani getting special training from Yoda or Mace while the others are going to Naboo. He could recklessly abandon his training and commandeer a fighter.

    Back to ROTJ,

Maybe the Ewoks are preparing for the marriage between the Sun God and the Goddess of the Forest. Maybe that's where Leia could get her dress with rough gems sown in.

Smaller ships sacrifice themselves in front of the component beams to save higher value targets? Maybe the diversion the large ships create could be an attack upon a component beam emmiter. They know it's too heavily armored, but it might draw some TIE fighters to them. I've wanted the fleet to play a more certain and important role. If Ackbar's flagship is too heavily damaged, he might sacrifice it to deflect the beam from others. Might go down with his ship.

The effort to destroy the Falcon? Made a hulk left as memorial in orbit around Endor? I forget who was working on destroying the bachalor pad. The key, in a remake, might be to give the rebel flight suits life support from the start in ANH. Hoods that fall over their heads in an emrgency or thin material that pops out of collars or a ring around neck that snaps up onto the helmet while visor bubble slides down onto the ring might do it ;/ That's if LC lives.

The STs and Vader and the reb pilots could all have costumes that look like they truly can survive in case of depressurization. Maybe the Impoff and Imptech costumes could look like they sustain life in emergency while still seeming retro. ;/

Edit: This leads to the slight continuity problem at the conclusion. If the memorial hulk is it, we could see Han Chewie LC and Leia in the shuttle waiting for the report from damage crews on the Falcon. they report that it is beyond repair and we glimpse Leia with a slight smile behind the others- Han's pad is the true reason she disikes the Falcon. She quickly recovers and tries to console the others. Together with some shots of damage crews repairing ships, rebels on surrendered Imp ships and processing prisoners on Endor, these shots might create the impression of a couple of weeks passing with the rebels having reasons to stay.

Edit: The knighting is a reason, as well as the '04 SEs, to show the rebs remaining.

The ships sacrificing are only barely deflecting the beams. Could show very near misses and grazes for dramatic effect.

Edit: The pressurized flight suits are for the flames to engulf the Falcon.

In ESB, there could be a reverse of the jealousy. Han sees Luke and Leia talking and embracing. He asks Luke "No...but still...she's very..." Han "Yeah...right"

In ROTJ First Luke giving Han a hard time. Then Han giving Luke a hard time. Then both. Confusion and competition thru to the end.

I'm close to finishing with game and project notions. I've tried to mark the less than obvious PT informed notions as I've gone along. If not marked otherwise, it's supposed to be from game or project. I have PT revision notions. I'll try to cover the "best" of them. :)

Yeah, Jedi from the start might work best. Better reuse too.

Intro of the Jedi (informed by PT): I like the central temple idea. Maybe take it further by showing the Council's formal position within the Republic constitution. The Council serves as the Supreme Court (judicial), next to the Senate (legislative) and the Chancellery (Executive). The Masters not on the council could serve as a sort of diplomatic/lower court arbiters. The knights could serve as a sort of judicial police. This would require covering a great deal of ground with a few words in the crawl.

Edited: ".... While The Galactic Senate is lost in argument and the executive orders of The Supreme Chancellor go unheeded, The Jedi Council, The Supreme Court of the galaxy, has dispatched two of their most powerful Jedi Knights to arbitrate a settlement to the conflict that threatens to tear The Senate apart and cause the collapse of The Galactic Republic. But there is no hope of the Jedi reaching Naboo in time to stop invasion and spare the Royal House..."

Perhaps Yoda could be used to draw out the boy's true feelings towards the Council and the Republic and his warrior heritage. After being harried, Ani could throw his head back, expose his bare throat in a gesture of his people as say "I am A Son Of Skywalkers, and I-Do-Not-Fear." "The Council can see that you fear not, a battle. In peace, may you go, young one."

One thing that bothered me about the PT is that I never understood exactly why Ani didn't just walk up to Yoda and Mace, stomp on their toes, then tell them where to shove their conception of the Force and that he was going home to get sweet nooky from his WIFE! >:(

Maybe, in the Republic, uncontrolled force wielders are like loose nukes. It might be mentioned in each ep that the Jedi have authority, not spoken or written, to deal with them. Everyone will look the other way. This could set up another great conflict between Ani and the Jedi. The Jedi's primary reason for accepting Ani might be to make him subject to the Jedi code. If their was a special Planet where the Force is in such motion that it cannot be used by confused Force sensitive people, and if it was desert world, then Ani would face an intolerable threat of exile from the Council.

    Later :)

In the project backstory, cloning becomes a sort of political ideology. The "party leaders" on a system seduce the intelligentsia and would-be elite with tales of how they are going to be the vanguard of a perfectly rational system controlled from the top. The masses are seduced with tales of being relieved of all drudgery and recieving according to their needs through this totally controlled system of uniform workers and warriors. In all cases the original masses are in fact to be replaced and liquidated for not conforming to this perfect order. The party leaders become more and more corrupted by ever increasing power.

The ultimate goal of the clone party is to produce "The New Clone Man". In theory, this new creature is supposed to be selfless and giving and entirely altruistic on behalf of the original population. In practice, the clone process and conditioning produces brutish savages that ravage and liquidate the original masses for the glory of the original party elite.

For the prequels, perhaps just one great, fully established cloning power, the "Stolonoi", exists at the time of the first prequel. The clone wars are an ongoing struggle to spread to other systems. There were other systems at varrying degrees of clone development. The stol forces in the first prequel could be made up of originals in varrying uniforms and dress with banners as well as actual clones (revolutionary atmosphere) They surge out to "Help" their clone party brothers in other systems.

Different ethnic clones representing different systems within the confederation could be shown (Helmets with masks in battle.)

(Post-PT informed) The first prequel might begin with assembling the trio. It might be possible to see them being inducted into the Jedi Order.

Padme could be an apprentice knight? She was a princess of "The Daughters of the Amidala" an ancient sect of Force wielders on her homeworld. These Force women were amoung the founders of the Jedi order a thousand generations in the past. The daughters could be the descendants of the great Amidala.

Could pick up Ani on his home world. It is already invaded and being taken over by the clones. The masses are being enslaved to help establish this new order. Ani and his family are slaves. Ani is involved in the resistance.

A Jedi master might also find Obi at this point.

Two of the trio might be from the same world to avoid traveling.

(Project)  The Pru might start out as just a military regime trying to protect it's systems from the clones.

(PT)  Palpy rises to prominence by preaching a doctrine of  a way between the Anti-clone position of most of the galaxy and the radical program of the cloners. All must understand that in order to fight off the clones, some of the clone methods must be adopted by non-clones. An army must be raised. At first, Palpy diguises that he wants a total war army of clones to fight clones. He says he wants to stop the bloodshed and increase trade and non-clone production.

(Informed by the PT)  I suspect that the battledroids were about avoiding too many flying limbs. It could get overly gruesome for the kids (as well as for me 8-o) The BSG stuff seems to be about making virtue of necessity.

In a remake, fighting clones, it could be almost entirely deflection. Tracer bullets, when they hit the ground at oblique angles, ricochuette upwards. When that happens, they tumble, often appearing broader, longer, and less intense. The clone blaster bolts could do likewise. Just enough to make it more apparent that they are being struck by own fire. At close quarters, The Jedi could almost always strike the weapons or slash the straps on armor or make a mark on it or Force push them down, forcing surrender. Save the  gruesome dismemberment for the real nasty leaders and various Jedi.

Only the secretly developed Pru clones might have accelerated growth.

I'm wondering about major, official fan edits of the PT. Possibly some new scenes with 10-11 year old kids. Then some EU retcons to correct for the edits.

After that, Maybe a new SW6 saga (essentialy remakes.)

There could be special marks to distinguish the new EU items from the original EU. :)

All the cool new stuff is a slight problem for me. For instance, the pointy TIEs in ROTJ were great, but they caused me to stop and consider that "Hey, they're new, upgraded in just a few months." The green sabre in ROTJ did likewise "Hey, it's green. Why? Oh yeah, he lost it in ESB. I wonder where he got this new one." The multi-colored sabres in AOTC were slightly distracting to me "He's green and he has a green sabre. Mace gets purple. I wonder if it's because he counts for more than all the rest?" These things pull me up from the action a little.

Also, tech upgrades effect the feeling of timelessness created in ANH and ESB. It reduces the sense of consistency, as well. There were only two types of large ships seen in ANH, yet I still had a strong notion of a galaxy filled with many different sorts of great vessels.

Less is more, IMHO. I'd be inclined to go with just one type of ST armor. I'd be inclined to go with the simple bad guys-red and good guys-blue (just watch the camera angles against a blue sky;) Maybe drop some expo about how a Jedi must use the force to bring the sabre to full power. When a lightsider empowers the blade, it's blue and a darksider red ;/

Could concentrate on making the X-wing seem as "cool" as possible for the kids. Maybe the extra special X could sell almost a much as the regular Xs,Es,and As combined.

ANH is the diamond standard. Any of the other films that come closest to perfect consistency with it's successful qualities might sell more tickets. :)

What should a 451236 remake release look like? It would depend upon what the production could afford and support.  If 'Hope' was released in late may and 'Empire' was released 5 weeks later there'd be a cliffhanger ending. But that's too much, I'm sure. If Hope was released first year and then Empire was released in the second, Maybe Phantom and Clones could be released together in the third year with the new Clones given a cliffhanger ending. Then Phantom and Clones in the third year could finance Sith and Jedi in a fourth year release. I think dragging it out any longer than absolutey necessary would only hurt the saga. Sith would be easier to take if it resolved a cliffhanger and was followed immediately by Jedi. Jedi shouldn't be too far removed from Empire. The best way to maintain consistency between all six would be to produce them as near in time to each other as possible, IMO. This is why controlling costs and simplicity of elements could be important. Anyway, that's for a 451236 order.

(Informed by the PT) The Jedi could marry ONLY after they prove for many years that they can control themselves and maintain discipline. This might make Obi a greater threat to Ani. But that's not necessary if "Padme" is also a knight.

(Project) For 'ROTJ': The Emperor might have a clearer approach in turning Luke. If expo was dropped by Yoda in ESB and again in ROTJ (and maybe by Ben in ANH,) that the Emperor has tremendous power over the will of even the strongest Jedi who willingly surrender to him, then it would be clear that the objective would be to gain that willingness. The Emp could promise to spare Luke's friends and perhaps spare a few worlds for Luke. To really torment him, Palpy might even promise to permit the fleet to scamper away so Luke wouldn't have to watch the ships being destroyed before his eyes. The remake format enables new ways to entice Luke to bow down.

I think that every opportunity to suggest that Luke and Leia might end up together must be taken (Carefully.) Ambiguous encounters that could just as much be sibling care for each other.

Every opportunity for exposition about the Force and the history of the conflict and the galaxy should be taken. The fine art of dropping expo on the fly without losing much tension and perhaps gaining it might be possible. "More than a thousand generations in the past, after the age of technology's whirlwind advance, and after the first great age of humanity's colonization of the galaxy..." or some such might foster the sense of timelessness. ;/

A 90 minute film with 10 year olds and an ET ending? (I doubt Speilberg could complain;) Then a pay-per-view and video release of the new footage plus the teenagers taking back Naboo?

I've been so curious to see why Senator Lady was so disturbed that I haven't considered that, in a remake, the entire "Bothan" thing could be dropped. It could simply be a rebel mission. Luke and Leia and the droids could take part. Shot of droids in ship's corridor and Luke in a fighter would be possible ;/

The suggestions for switching scene order sound terrific. Luke goes to Dagobah before Han rescue would work with a desperate bluff. Could drop some expo like  Luke "Leia, LC says that Han is being kept in suspension. We don't have to rush." Then the suggested Leia misadventure while Luke takes his fighter to see Yoda.

All of the proper PT names and terms could be changed. None of the ones I have proposed were meant to be used- just placeholders. Changing the OT names and terms would be a little more difficult, but maybe it would work.

I went with stark history-based concepts because I don't see enough films to have a cinephile's perspective. The history could be dialed back or fuzzed up in many ways. There's an opportunity for some 'War and Peace' and 'Dr Zhivago' sort of stuff.

I didn't work as hard to determine R2's origins because my first impression was that he was new. I thought he might be assigned to a Jedi fighter at first. That might interfere with introducing the two droids together.

The people of Naboo and Alderaan might have dark bronze hair and brown or dark amber eyes. They could represent the peoples of the mediteranean, Latin America, The Middle East and the Hindi. The mercenary tribe and Mace could represent African origins, Obi could remain "Britishy", Ani could be "Gothic", and, of course, the different aliens and droids could represent differing peoples in general. North Korea is the last full-fledged Stalinist state in the world. Yeah, maybe the clones fighting the authority of the Republic could be East Asian. Or, they could be Eurasian.

      Later :)

The only changes to Chewie I'd want are a more articulating muzzel and maybe some changes around the eyes. Larger Iris and no whites to appear more dog-like might work. Otherwise, ESB-ROTJ Chewie is perfect. I'd thought of scenes of that hulk saving the gang and fighting monsters. I didn't want to take too much from the story arc. I didn't pursue other possibilities very far (83-84). For Han, reminders of his shoot-from-the-hip style and even when quiet and peaceful he can be a lethal weapon sort of character. Luke and Leia essentially the same as in ANH.

The TIEs seem faintly insect-like. The ST helmets always reminded me of grass-hopper heads. Like to keep that sort of thing through any changes.

One thing I'd always wanted to see was a full theme for the fleet preparing to jump in RotJ. Maybe something like the William Tell Overture meets Flight of the Valkyries sort of thing.

For extra TPM, Ani might rescue the group from the storm as well. Ani might jump onto the hovering probe, be carried up a bit and fall flat after he disables it. I like the pageantry of some of the pre-race presentation. I don't know how to work that pod-race sequence in.

In ANH,  originally a shallow angle climb. Revised to very steep to get good stuff near ship. Thought engine could overheat.

I'd like to see the new sequences produced in the English studios as much as possible. They infuse the films with their own character. That depends on costs and difficulty, I know.     Later :)

I'm going to reserve this post for additions. It's for whatever I missed and anything else that might be useful in a remake . Otherwise, I guess that's it :)

---I apologise for the incoherent mess this has become. I've had an"Everything out for passing consideration" philosophy towards this. Something might be adapted for another edit- if not the one at hand. Also, on my end, it all just seems like fantasy football- very little reality to it. It's too easy to forget that there are real people devoting considerable time to hunting for any little scrap that might be used to build up an element. I'm stumbling around in the dark trying to follow what the various editors and projects might require.

---I don't really have a "Preferred version." TBH, I wouldn't know how to begin assessing all the different factors involved- the subtleties of pacing, dialog, tension, interaction and so on. I just try to fully appreciate each suggested element and imagine the possibilities. This is why I haven't been very active with comments upon the suggestions of others. Without more sophisticated PreVis capabilities, I'm very uncertain. I'm happy to leave all that to those who have the skills to generate and analyse PreVis elements :)

    Saga in general:

--I tend to define what the story is and the great problem/s according to where and in what condition the main characters are to be at the end. ROTJ is not a tragedy. Luke is to complete his journey up the same path as Vader/his father without sliding backwards and downwards, to become a Jedi.  Han, Luke, and Leia are to overcome all the forces that are seperating them from each other.

---I favor as much U-shrinkage as possible (in drama.) Especially if it is a unified saga. The great trick is to provide very good reasons for all these characters to be associated and encounter each other. We can only follow a handful of characters through a story arc.

--The entire purpose of these game and project efforts was to anticipate what GL would do (If given the opportunity.) I hadn't seen THX, and could only vaguely remember 'AG'. The OT and ROTLA were my great movie sources.

---I know nothing of what constitutes the gray area where these efforts might be intruding upon artistic rights of the original creators and commissioners (LFL). I am the son of a professional artist. Anything judged at all questionable I would want removed by the mods and admins. I don't need any of this for anything. I can prattle on without it. :)

---The worlds in the opening might relate to the general condition of the galaxy. Bright hot Tat, hazy shade of winter Hoth,  mostly in darkness Safiyaa, Almost all eclipsed Coruscant, half dark Endor?;/ (Hey, brother can use paradigm;)

---It's wicked-good code that could make it work. Might have some earlier elements to cover the more obvious CGI.

--I'd like to see the saturday adventure theater feel maintained. Could still upgrade costumes to seem more realistic. Could consider other shooting styles (in 'Aviator', Hughes mounted cameras on the nose and wings of fighter craft). Could be some latter influences like moar 'EG' or '2001' but in a slightly retro way.

--I would enthusiasticaly support an effort to place additional female roles as long as it doesn't detract too much from the Leading Lady or the pace and tension. I wasn't able to work that out while staying close to the story-line. This requires screenwriters with a special ability to develope character interplay.

--451236 would seem to be ACT 1, ACT 2, ACT1, ACT1, ACT2, ACT3 -as near as I can figure it.

---Yeah, with tight enough scripts and good expo drops, the saga might be reduced to 5 films. The salient points of "Phantom" could be covered in "Clones". It might be best if all the films could be held to about 120 minutes. Time and budget limits might create good discipline and taut stories. Could create extended cuts for video and ppv. Could reduce the time-to-market of a saga box-set. It would mean abandoning the trilogy concept for saga.

---I don't know if it would be worth the expense, but I suppose it might be possible to record the preqs in such a way that they could serve as backsory for the OOT and a new saga remake. some shots could be recorded twice, once with costumes and elements and style consistent with the OOT and an alternate shot with different costumes or ships or other elements consistent with the differing style of the remake saga.

---The production might be organized like a hyper-expensive season shoot of hour long weekly tv drama. 120 theatrical and 135 extended video versions of each ep. The First: Hope in late May for 5-6 weeks and then The Second: Empire. No video release yet. The following year, early May re-release of Hope. Mid May re-release of Empire. Late May The Third: Clones for 4+ weeks then Sith for 3+ weeks and, if at all possible, Jedi in early July :)  3D BR saga box-set for Holidays- $89. Video singles released after Holidays. Simplicity and extensive re-use of elements. Focus on story and characters.

---Consistency would be mission one, imo. "Just two ways to do things: THE WRONG WAY or THE SAME WAY." I would hope GL could direct at least one of the new eps. If the time frame is compressed, Other directors called in for the eps and a 'Saga Director' to ensure consistency throughout.

---Before I forget- again- If the top shroud surrounding R2 was removed with a module underneath, A tandem seat module could be shown being installed with an elongated canopy on the X-wing for a two-seat config. There is precedent in modern fighters.

----If the Mon Cal had special status in the Republic as the only system authorized to have large hyperspace warships, it would explain ROTJ and reduce expenses for ships. Also, the TIEs could be like fighter bombers and we don't have to see shuttles for minimum expence and maximum developement of ships.

--A gooey, glowing, smoking, organic slime is another sort of weapon primitive creatures could use fighting the empire. It could eat through armor like acid. Could be placed on ends of spears and arrows.

---For fan-edits- one reb ship in each episode opening? Keep Bothans and upset Mothma? In ROTS, The seperatist ship is the reb ship pursued by 2 or 3 original destroyers and the rest of the battle footage moved to 66 or elsewhere. For remakes, for something different: HOPE The First, one reb ship and three imp destroyers---Empire The Second, two reb ships and four imp destroyers--- Clones The Third, three reb ships and one great enemy base ship?---SITH The Fourth, four Calamari ships and two Stol base ships---JEDI The Fith, five reb ships and five destroyers? ;/;\;/ Just to mix things up (especially everyone's minds;)

--The mercenary tribespeople are a little like Gypsies- nomadic. In the project, they had African or French creole accents. If that doesn't work best, I suppose that a people traveling around the galaxy for centuries with no fixed home-world might speak galactic standard quite well.

---CG Elements of Yoda wouldn't have to be made exactly like the puppet. Shade of green-grey most realistic instead of to match puppet. Wouldn't need to reproduce the hair. Could look more like crazy/spiritual ancient frog. Yoda underwent a marked chage in PT. He was more staid and less mischievous. Even after IDed, he rode on Lukes back and balanced on his foot. In ROTJ he teased Luke. In a remake he could be mischievous and spiritual throughout and his appearance could reflect that. Face slightly crooked, eyes far-away mystical.

--It seems to be getting to the point where all of the exterior sequences could be filmed in the studio parking lot. Just live action shots of the backgrounds with CGI enhancement. Digital color-correction.

--I much enjoyed the location shots in ST'09- except that they didn't cover up some of the '70s light fixtures and door handles and caps to the tanks with simple futurey props.

--The Stol could be pushed back to their region and enter a period where they are not a factor elswhere in the galaxy. In SW The Seventh, what woud happen? Would the Imp forces revert to simply being Pru? Would the Stol jump back into the fight? Yeah, some Stol could go rogue when their alteration and conditioning doesn't take. They might switch sides and work for the Empire or whoever. Stark historical perspective ;/  The Pru might form alliances of convenience with the Republic or Stol forces.

--Stol are a coalition of humanoids from different systems of a certain region? They all wear same uniforms and under one strict command? Try to conquer other systems from within as well as by invasion? The Celestial Confederation of Cloning Planets ;)

--Before Menace, There could be an empire in the Stol region. Some proto-cloning arrangements in agriculture or something. They develope cloning tech and have a revolution and try to spread it to neighboring systems (the saga might begin here). Buildings and ships might be very vaguely like St. Basil's domes and so forth. The Jedi could watch like warrior monks as all this begins, uncertain of how to counter it.

--The great disturbance in the Force could begin it's increase in the period before Menace. This could disrupt the Jedi's normal system of recruiting- when they could sense young untrained Force wielders. Some young ones are growing to teen-agers before they can be found. Yoda and Mace and Qui could go out and find these candidates before they become too dangerous. This results in a large proportion of the young Jedi who do not have the discipline of earlier knights.

--I'm sorry the live-action TV series has been suspended. A live-action series covering the period before the advent of the Saga might be a great thing.

--I support the efforts to just get things done. The franchise needs to be developed without any dithering. The great thing about fan-editing efforts is that they display what is possible- they advance the ball. I suppose that is why it's tolerated, even though it's all really LFL's property.

--To avoid confusion, These suggestions were presented in a very stark and, hopefully, clear manner. Any references to other works should be quite subtle, IMO.

--I'd like the SW6 to serve as a complete saga cycle. This doesn't preclude further episodes :)

--The different ethnic groups of this world and females should be portrayed in a positive light. It might be best to do so in a way that is consistent with the tone, mood and origins of ANH and ESB. PC for the sake of PC sticks out like a sore thumb and makes a story seem like it takes place a week from next Thursday. Timelessness. Anything after WWII might be too close to our time and place and fail to evoke the original SW spirit. This was my concern about the AOTC diner scene. WWII was the last great epic global conflict. The red revolutions, scares and iron curtain were great social and political upheavals. Noir was the last great classical B&W genre. Avoid after '49 imagery?

---IMHO, the saga can contain "Messages", but that should never be why an element is adopted. Everything strictly to serve the entertainment value of the story. Anything vaguely based on historical drama cannot avoid the lessons that history teaches. OTOH, stories work better when they present some truths of human existance in an entertaining way.

First concern is females. Fighter pilots? Masculine aggression in battle in the same units as males? Instead there could be Amazon, Demi-Goddess and "Wise-women" mythic portrayals of strong female characters. The leading lady should stand apart and above. Her ONLY purpose is to distress her suitor/s.

    For Hope:

--A little more ceremony when the STs come to attention as Lord Vader boards the blockade runner.

     --"That bad, huh?" moment.

--Maybe a little more clear that Tarkin represents military government and Vader is more security police-counter intelligence service. He respects Tarkin as sort of Captain of the Ship but not as much under his authority. Tarkin in a little more intimidated by Vader.;/

---A reason for Owen to be a grand uncle is very rad. What if Han was a second cousin? They are presented like brothers. Both based on Tat. What if Han won a ship and decided to leave? Biggs is also presented as like a big brother. Owen would have a better reason for not wanting to lose Luke. Han could show up to say goodbye. Was something like this in an earlier draft? Inquiring minds want to know- (never really serious about this;)

---Could Ben do a Yoda type of challenge to Luke? Wild old hermit?;/;\

---At some point, we might see Ben having a word with the droids off to the side- without hearing. Or in the prequels;/

    For Empire:

---For something different/simplicity/cost-control, could show the tow cables as special attatchments for the X-wings. Luke could raise his canopy, fly over the walker head, tell R2 to take the ship, and then jump down. He could ignite his sabre on the way down, cut open a hatch, toss in an explosive, and then stumble and fall in front of the walker.

With X-wings there, could work in some TIE fighters and bombers and a little dogfighting (there goes cost-control;)

--An "I love you" sort of expression Leia to Luke on Hoth.

--General "And how went the sector conference, Princess?"  Leia "We quickly reached consensus."  *quietly*[ "That bad?"]   Leia["Yes... I prefer to see those diplomats squabble...Everyone understands the need for unity in these dire circumstances.] General  [It seems the entire Imperial Fleet is out for devestating revenge.] Leia [I don't know why the Emperor thought he needed a Death Star.]

--Vader "Capture the Falcon and we shall capture Skywalker" ;/

--Some mention of freezing as the only safe way to contain and transport a powerful Force wielder?

--(Game/project)I thought that robotics would advance to the point where we could see an animatronic Yoda that could walk and talk and have full range of motion. Maybe, as a surprise in this age, we could have a practical Yoda brought fully to life with CG for the eyes, eyelids (he could have translucent inner eyelids that blink sideways:), teeth and tongue, and other areas where fine, quick movements are required (same for Jabba?) I'm old-school very accustomed to the puppet. The CGI has been getting very close to photo-real. I do enjoy the sabre fights in the PT. It's not exactly what I expect from Yoda, but it is MP rabbit entertaining. I'd imagined a stunt Yoda made of painted nerf foam that would be attatched by mono-filiment line to the opponents sabre and elsewhere and Yoda would be flung around. Not much control.

--A continuity error is created with 'DB' jump to Bespin. To allow several weeks for training Luke, Expo about how the jump is only accurate enough to get them within the system. Might have to take long journey on sub-light propulsion-If it works at all. It could be suggested that Luke recived significant training before Dagobah.

    For Jedi:

--The original opening sequence was Bothan ship attacked (Maybe no dialogue) message sent off (instead of lifepod) then wipe to droids already entering palace gate and moving quickly through the corridors with ominous rumbling and spooky noises, back to Vader recieved with honor guard. On Tat, a male in a black cloak is seen embracing a female and kissing (we can't see if it's on lips) we can't see much of female's costume. there a two fighters in the back ground, cut to droids descending into the dungeons of the palace.

---A running escape to the ships and take-off then wipe to Vader/Emp. then Briefing at exotic locale. Locale could be attacked towards the end of the briefing by the imp fleet for peril and an action sequence. Rebel officers run to ships ;/

--The new (PT+ OT.com inspired) sequence I'm toying with is: Rebels fighting imp picket, droids in corridors emerging into hanger R2 chirps  3PO "But we were supposed to make a quick scan of the inner system and then jump away. How could the Empire intercept us?!?" (3PO complaints), grim rebels running to prep fighters and repair damage, A lead pilot sends his group to their fighters, the pilot and a female figure seen at a distance (can't quite see who) an embrace and kiss (Can't see if on lips),R2 hovers into fighter socket, launch to fight incoming TIEs, Battle and survivors jump out. Then Vader reception. ;/, Jumps to Dag, Leia gets message from LC that there is a problem (Fett?) and , she tells LC that there is big trouble with the empire and they must accelerate the rescue without Luke, She goes with 3PO on her own, Dag with Yoda and no Ben, Leia enters with Chewie and 3PO as interpreter, Luke rushes back after learning of it.

---Luke stays quiet and not clearly seen. Peels off from fleet like in ESB?

---LC returns to fleet and tells of problem and ability to re-infiltrate?;/

---Leia goes with or after Luke to Dag ?;/;/;/

--(project) Leia and Chewie captured, Luke enters to bluff, Han and Chewie brought up, Altercation in court Luke tries to shoot or bring sabre to bear but its a trap, Leia tries to strangle Jabba (taken hostage by Fett?), no fall into Rancor pit (monsters in arena) all captured. Tried to shorten the Palace sequence a little.

--Yeah, 451236 creates some problems with the Vader and Emp reveals. It would have to be handled carefully. There are great changes in character for Luke and Vader between ESB and ROTJ. Luke is just a student who runs off. Vader is a powerful badass who tries to recruit Luke. In the end, Luke is utterly confused and might be considering joining his father. Vader might have some sort of concern for his son. A few weeks later, Luke is the man with a plan, a confident almost Jedi. Vader seems almost helpless against the Emp, with no plan to overthrow him.

It might be best to pick up exactly from the end of ESB. Maybe no mention of "still good in him" just "But he's still my father" sort of thing. Luke is still just a boy confused. Vader could still be up to his tricks. The PT could help to explain what the Emp is trying to accomplish with Luke (willing submission in exchange for power to protect what he values.) It's not exactly deus ex machina for an absent father to suddenly realize that seeing his offspring killed is not acceptable- does it need a set-up?

--Explosion sends a shockwave that blows all off their feet. Bomb falls loose and Han and Leia scramble to retrieve and deactivate it. Ewoks appear to help with recovering STs.

--LC on an armed merchantman? "Flagship" of the Tribe?;/

--Imperial fleet is very homogenous, Rebel fleet very heterogenous.

--Jabba survives? ;/  "Perhaps I will be gracious enough to accept your price." at the end when an annoyed Luke has him cornered (Luke might be angry enough to kill him? Adds uncertainty about Luke falling?) ;/ Jabba organizes some of his henchmen to help the rebellion? Empire has been cutting into his business?

--Yeah, thought of a tractor beam pod like an elevator for the Emp and Vader, since tractor beams were established in ANH. Yeah, could just show the Emp already in throne chamber with fighters flying overhead and honor guard.

For Phantom: (To fit with existing AOTC and ROTS)

--I still like the idea of different force skills for the sexes. (Though, yeah, the lead female should be a more kick-ass 'J of A' sort.) It sets the leading lady apart. But that's just me.

--An apprentice intitiation ceremony? The apprentice aproaches, bows, and gives the sabre to the master. Then, holds out hand and draws the sabre to them to prove some skill. For apprentices who started their training late, when they draw it to them, the sabres could careen wildly out of control and are barely caught before they are cut to ribbons.

---I can enjoy car racing for about 3-maybe 4 minutes. Intercut with a great threat from spies or drones to the group??

---Mon Cal could be added to the scenes on coruscant change nature of discussion with Jar-Jar about warriors and promise Mon-Cal ships help in retaking Naboo.;/

-- (PT) For the climax of the Battle of Naboo, Padme could be holding the Fed leader at blaster point. She threatens to use her powers as 'Supreme Judge In Emergency' to summararily execute Gunray if he doesn't order a stop to all hostilities and deactivate the droids marching back into Theed. They argue the technicalities of conflicting laws until she can't stand the losses her people are suffering another moment. This might somehow be holo-broadcast to the Senate with distortion to cover new lines. Gunray reminds the queen that it will tear the Republic apart if she shoots an unarmed prisoner (even though he could stop the slaughter) Just as she is about to shoot him, Ani knocks out their command and control and the droids fall limp outside the palace. Edit: Gunray could have hovering holo-transmitters in the thrown room that he uses to direct the base ship. When captured, he could order the transmission relayed to the Senate. Additional dialogue could be added in Senate holograms which are staticy and distorted. ;/

--- I read that some might not want to go younger than 13 for Padmey and Ani. That could create a HPATPOA vibe. Would have to find kids who look especially like the 17-18 year olds of AOTC. ;/ More replacement. ;/

Clones and Sith are reserved for duology

For Clones:  The Republic is collapsing. Clone ideology is sweeping the galaxy. For forty years there has been war. The Pax Jediaca is a shambles. Three great factions: The Stol who have gained control of their region and now are invading neighboring systems, The Free Systems who want to protect themselves from the Stol and overreaching Centralizers, The Centralizers who want a Powerful Republic to fight the Stol and keep the free systems in line.

The darkside is blocking the Jedi from seeing into the Force. The new recruits are not being found as early as before and are affected by the turmoil in the Force (TZ,ST,LR). Yada, Kay, and Muce are on an emergency mission to find young Force wielders before their systems fall to Stol invasion and they are captured.

A starbattle above a planet. Yada is in a sleek exec transport (In Empire) escorted by two X-wings (2 X-wings could feature in every opening). We see R2 in Kay's fighter. Cut to the surface, We see 3PO with a mysterious young female and others moving through corridors under bombardment. They fight off armored invaders and reach the Jedi transport to escape. They go to the planet Steppaa, recently occupied by the Stol, Filled with collaborators and resistance, to find one or two more young Force wielders. They return to the capitol world which itself is suffering problems with assasins and violent Protesters and banners of Clonees and Originals and Frees and cents(PT, OT.com). We see arguements in the Senate about the Pru developing a battle fleet, free systems purchasing X-wings and the Stol running riot. (A little DZ atmosphere)

The planet Safiaa, led by the great Amideela, was intrumental in the establishment of the Jedi order a thousand generations in the past. The Amideela and her female decendants are powerful in certain respects in the ways of the Force. The daughters of the Amideela are trained in diplomacy and statecraft and many marry into powerful houses throughout the Galaxy. Very occasionaly, an Amideela princess is born with great general power. The Princess Pamey, niece of the Queen of Safiaa, is the one of her generation with tremendous power. The Queens refuse to let such princesses join the Jedi and Pamey doesn't wish to leave.

Pamey is betrothed to the prince of Aldan (Spanishy?). She barely knows him but he is much in love with her. She see's little of him. Just to add complication to her love-life and provide a reason to send Leia to Aldan (Swiss).;/ The prince is a senator. Pamey was to help with diplomacy as Aldan also trains it's girls to state service. ;/

If Pamey is the first female jedi inducted, it might place the story in the epic past. It might show the Jedi Order is conservative. It would set her apart as very special and very powerful (female force wielders aren't as strong for lifting heavy objects- a little superior in other respects) ;/

Pamey and the two boys might do something to liberate Safiaa (not necessarily on Safiaa Maybe another planet or far in space. Liberation is one of the consequences)). This could have some negative repercussions for the Jedi Masters. In Sith, Pamey and Obu might join Anu up to a point in liberating Steppaa, but it becomes necessary for Anu to go too far to succeed in throwing off the Stol, so the two try to stop Anu.

Alternatively, the two or three could already be apprentices under Yada. could just drop expo about their backgrounds. Might move towards Steppaa- the world we haven't seen before. The Temple could be on the Spiritual capitol world.

This is just to demonstrate that it might be possible to compress the PT into two movies. Also, I like the idea of a central political center (Rome)  with a spiritual center to the galaxy on the periphery. It's difficult to find ground not already covered. The fight could be over another world in Clones. The trio starts out about 17 and 3-4 years later are the events of Sith.

---(TBH, this is just a whim to see if all the incoherent jibbering could be integrated in two;)  (OT.com)An original Dooku rebel Jedi to help the Frees (Kay?) Vader type darksider (Evo) helping the Stol? Comar Denon (IM?) controlling Evo? Palps and Tarko (military C&C of the Pru) helping the Cents. Looks like Denon might become Emp? Jedi masters trying to remain neutral just want to restore PaxJ and old order. Palps working in the background- we don't see him much- speeches to Senate. He's a Senator in Sith who becomes chancellor in last act.

--Stol officer uniforms are like eurasian rider and OT empire combined? A little brown in the grey? Clone techs have overalls similar to OT empire techs?

Evo might want the lost kids for first step templates in a cloning experiment to try to produce Force wielding clones. Kids joining late for the past forty years because of rising clouds. Could suggest the passage of weeks while the trio is learning very rapidly- naturals. The first step process might tend to make twins more likely.

---The jedi in 'Clones' or 'Sith' might run across another independent Cloning operation. Unsure of who is running it looks like a Stol operation

---Maybe the tribe of mercenaries is hired to protect Safiaa or Stepaa or both. Remain loyal to contract even against odds.

--- "Size matters nnNAAA!" *CLOBBERED by something HUGE*   "Wars do not make one greAA" *Jumps and lops off head, throws sabre into attacker, and then Force pushes another into a wall*   Odd quirks as well. Evo could pause and gently pluck and admire a wildflower (TRM encouraged;). In AOTC,  yoda could perch on the shoulders of a clone trooper and rap his helmet with the cane when giving orders.

--- Opens Safiyaa is 2/3 in darkness. Shots above capitol city the sun is already below horizon with eerie sunset of purple and blood red Stol ships bombarding city flashes and explosions.

---Ep One is act one. The start not any heavier than ANH? as much lighthearted adventure as ANH?

Yoda takes obu for apprentice, Kay-Pamey, and Muce-Anu. Yada could train all three initially.

--- Prince Baeel fell deeply in love with Pamey at first site. It is an arranged betrothal. The prince is holding the senate seat until Aldan can have a Daughter of Amideela they covet. Pamey is very impressed by the Prince but they have barely met. Pamey must stay on Safiyaa until she reaches the age to leave her duties and marry. The Prince is the sensible choice, Obu is attractive for his rebel nature, Anu for his sincere need and passionate love for her. All three are handsome, too.

---For the opening, Baeel could take Yoda to Safiyaa in the Tantive? They reach the hanger. Pamey has other princesses with her. They carry daggers of glowing metal that can deflect bolts. The princesses can only deflect them down to the floor or up to the ceiling. Pamey is the only one who can deflect to target like a Jedi. Evo appears and the Jedi duel with him. Pamey begs Baeel to take the princesses offworld. She takes another ship in the hanger, a sleek transport. She learns Evo will send all forces after her so Yoda and Pamey take the ship up to draw Stol away from the Tantive. She pilots it like a fighter. Kay Insists they must go to Stepaa so they divert. Queen could appear in hanger for impromptu guard formation?;/

    ---Save X-wing reveal for later?

---Baeel meets another Amadeela princess (Pamey's cousin? sister?) Eventually.... If three suitors makes things too busy, the other could be the betrothed from the start. Made to look like Leia is their natural daughter? Other ship belongs to the Amadeela order and winds up with other princess?

----Uh...yeah...droids :0) R2 could leave to help Pamey and run into 3PO.

---Evo could have a helmet and mask for operating in harsh environments or his species has different atmosphere.;/ Dialog Evo with Pamey and Yoda in the opening?

---If people are too accustomed to PT queen, Pamey could be the queen here? Chosen for her remarkable power? Other princess becomes queen? Takes Prince Baeel as consort? Live on Safiyaa? Pamey lives and gives up Luke so they will not be found? Queen of Safiyaa?;/ ;\

If Other apprentice is too much, 30 yr old Ani and Pamey 40 yr old Obi-he is other suitor? BenBu they are 17 then 30 in Sith?

----The Republic is collapsing! The glorius and just order that prevailed over the galaxy for a thousand years is falling under a furious tide of evil darkness. The Stol worlds are surging out of their region, sweeping over the disarmed neighboring systems with their cloned hordes.

The once great Galactic Senate is fatally riven between the supporters of the clone forces and their hapless and divided opposition. The Supreme Chancellor is ignored. The High Council of the Jedi Knights, The Supreme Court of the Galaxy, has lost it's ability to maintain the peace.

While the Jedi masters search for the lost ones, Those who can manipulate the mysterious galactic Force that grows more turbulent , the evil servants of the cloning powers are invading Safiyaa in a hunt  for the fabled Khyber crystal. With it's legendary power to amplify the Force, their ravaging clone armies will become unstoppable and the Galaxy will sink forever in cruel tyranny...

The blockade runner zooms down pursued by the Stol ships. We see R2 and a silver protocol droid. The capitol city is being invaded by the Clones (NCO's and Warrant officers) and their original commissioned officers. The ship touches down in an open landing space (no hanger and no Jedi here, they face the threat alone) Rear guard fighters take positions and shoot. A party of Daughters with a few protocol droids move across toward the ships. Darth Evo intercepts and there is a confrontation where we learn that He wants PA to help gain the gem. Baeel comes out with crew and droids to help the daughters. We learn the prince is betrothed to PA (they have only spoken by hologram) Baeel orders the droids to form a screen behind the daughters. R2 courageously obeys, the other droids from the runner and the daughters also comply. droids get blasted. The gold droid's lower leg could be blown off. The Daughters draw their daggers and PA does some acrobatics. PA knows the Clones will follow her so she tells Baeel to take the Daughters to safety. PA holds up goldy and he says she should leave him. She coolly tells him he can be her shield. Baeel orders the two surviving R2 units to lay down a "smoke" screen. One R2 and the surviving silver droid goes with the prince and the daughters. The blue R2 is ordered to cover PA. On the way to the ramp R2 could snare a leg from a silver that has been totally fried;/  She pilots the other transport. The droids are being blasted away. Baeel orders R2 to protect PA and he and a gold droid are the only ones who make it to the transport. They get away and PA goes to warn the nearest Jedi masters.

----NP and HC look like they are anywhere between early twenties and 30. Everyone's accustomed to thinking of them as teens or early twenties. They'd have no trouble playing early then late twenties.

The mercenary tribe could be there;/  The Queen could;/ It could be done without the royal titles- just daughters and mother superior;/

Force capability could be very difficult to transfer to clones. The clones produced are only a little superior to special forces originals- barely enough to make it worthwhile. The cloners could be searching for better templates.

The masters could be present. Just wanted PA to have confrontation without help. Switch for the sake of different;/ Spread out the reveals;/

---Obi's sleeper agent looks almost possible 8/ ;/

---Ship for PA escape could belong to a Correllian or something;/ ;/(KOTOR)

---They might never make it to Coruscant in Clones. There could be holotransmissions instead. Different locations in all 5? Only glimpses of familiar worlds we've seen/will see?

----PA might get a gem from the queen or other daughter. It glows brighter for her. The gem might be a fake to draw away those who would steal it. Queen confused? PA takes it to the nearest Jedi for safety.

    ---Stepaa capitol greenish skyscrapers?

---If the goal is to remain entirely consistant with the OOT expos, Ani could be a young second officer on a freighter. It would be possible to introduce him at the start. The freighter is caught up in the sudden invasion. The captain regrets coming to the world. It could be the ship PA escapes on. Alternatively, Ani could leave to help Padme and get involved in a crusade. Or, Ani could lose his job as an officer during the invasion of his homeworld. Another alien on the freighter might become involved. Obi is there and saves it's life? Or Ani saves him and there is some debt to his son?;/

Edit: Yeah, Ani there poses difficulties. A poster named Wexter has an idea I like that he left Tat to become a pilot on Aldaaran. Could the Tantive be a fast freighter for the Kessel Run?;/

Yeah, Vader in HOPE would be a problem. Maybe new HOPE lines with Vader telling the princess he was able to capture the ship because he is very familiar with the type?

Baeel comes in the shiney sleek executive transport of the Republic? The Tantive becomes the hero ship of the preqs? The Captain is killed fighting off the invaders while drunk and scolding Ani and then PA and Ani escape on it. Vader is aware at the end of SITH that it winds up in the hands of Baeel?

Someone here mentioned Owen finds Beru on Aldaaran (Wexter?) Owen is part of the Tantive crew with Ani and others? Beru jumps on with PA? (LIS)(More greatly stretched shrinkage;);/;\

They contact Jedi to meet them on their homeworld?

Another thought is that Ani was in command of the freighter while the captain was drunk in his quarters. Ani is powerfully drawn to the sudden invasion by the Force and anger about the invasion of his homeworld?;/ ;\ (this is really stretching for some shrinkage;)

--- I've been trying to stretch out reveals, but ESB presented all the main characters from ANH upfront;/

       For SITH

---My passing thought was that the confrontations might take place in the capitol of Stepaa. But...yeah...Coruscant makes all kinds of sense for the climactic battle.  A revolutionary atmosphere.Yeah, I really like the no-one-won scenario:) Stol and Pru, Denon and Palps, Frees, cloners, and cents. Rebel, old order, and rebel turned dark Jedis. The three different parties could have banners and arm bands and colors to distinguish themselves. The colors might feature the galactic emblem. Might do something like multiple emblems for the cloners O)))).

---Discovery of great shipyards and standard destroyers might occur (OT.com)

---Anu might plan to make Pamey part of his new order. She handles politics and diplomacy he does security?

--(From the game) The furthest I'd gone in explaining how Luke was placed on Tat was that Ani's mother had a brother. He was a survivor in the invasion and became a refugee. He was cynical and looking out for himself and his immediate family/wife. He showed up at the last moment to warn "Ani" and "Obi" and the mother. He might have helped the mother escape. He was the only immediate family that could be trusted. Just a passing thought.

    ---DZ the mother just disappeared;/

---Might show other princess with just one of the babies while in ship taking everyone around (three card monte)

Flesi obpaop obpalo cra2cl si3is

I can't honestly blame anyone who comes in late to all that for being quite bothered by the disjointed mess. It has never been my intent to bother, my purpose is something else... elsewhere...eloosive;) Understanding is the currency I value most. Trying to return a little :)

The above, when it was meant for others, was intended for LFL.  I decided to post it here out of my great respect for the fan-editing efforts. If there is anything somehow useful in all that, the talent here could find it. I don't see any point in posting any of this elswhere.

I also want to say THANK YOU for all that I've learned here. Have you ever had nagging questions, no matter how important they are to you, or how trivial in the great scheme of things? Questions that are like splinters in your mind? I've found answers to some of those questions here. It feels WONDERFUL when a splinter is removed :) If anything is the slightest bit useful to this unique community, please consider that a token of my great appreciation and gratitude.
