I don't have any problem with the purple lightsaber. Having said that, "it looks cool" isn't a terribly strong argument.

It's still ugly atm. Teeth and face color need to be tweeked. But it's getting there. The middle section does not have the Palpatine face changed because that part will be in darkness. Still a work in progress 8)

Mace says - "In the name of the galactic senate of the republic...", but don't the Jedi operate outside of the Senate?
Surely it would be much sweeter if he says "In the name of the Galactic Republic..."
I know they say the word senate like 12 more times [sic] before the fight but it might be something to consider...

that said - the shot of Palpy walking out the door with melty face is looking well wicked so far.
Have you considered trying to have him ignite the saber faster to add to the idea of him taking them off guard? - as it stands he sort of waves it in front of them, almost as a tease...

I think Mace's response to "I am the Senate!" should be "I don't think so". To better hide the lips the close-up of Mace's face must be replaced with something else though.
