I really like what you did--great job.

There are just two issues I have with it:

1) In the beginning, the echo effects are a little strong on Jar-El's voice, so between that and the background music, it's a little hard to understand what he's saying. But I really like the presentation, with that stirring music that is playing, and Jar-El sounding sort of ghostly. Just tone down the echo a touch.

2) In the trial with Zod, you hear him say "Join us," and then you cut to Jar-El calling down the crystal--it'd be nice if you cut out the "Join us" altogether. It'd be nice to see more of that scene, but it would just make the credits run too long, and just having the "join us" feels a little odd, because we don't actually see Zod say it.

3) The credits run a little long, and the voice overs (like where Lois is freaked out when Superman catchs her) are kind of distracting. You could cut around the part where her mouth is moving, and it would look great with the background music playing, and then cutting to the newspapers without the voice-over from the newspaper editor.

But overall--absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Very, very nice job.

Well Sky I've watched your opening for the Crystal Edition of SII and overall I'm quite impressed.

POSITIVE
- I love the use of Brando narration throughout the opening especially during the unveiling of Krypton. It produces even more of a re-cap to the previous film and just makes it more than simply re-using footage.

- The trial of the villains is much more dramatic with Brando's inclusion, and is generally nicely edited.

- The STM clips you have chosen during the credits work very well in creating a wonderful build-up and summary of the first film.

NEGATIVE
- I think you've edited the trial of the villains sequence nicely, except for Zod's dialog. For him to just say "Join Us", is very undramatic. I'd love to hear more of his screaming rage.

- The credits are very nicely done, however I'm not too sure there style is suited for such a film. Obviously the idea behind the credits is to give Donner and Brando there entitled credit, so you've succeeded in that respect. The credits for STM were incredibly dramatic, and whilst many fans have tried to recreate them, most results have paled in comparison. Have a look at this link Green Cut Test Opening and scroll down to the clip titled "greencut_25901.mov". In this case the creator simply borrowed the titles from STM, but coloured them green. The effect is nice, though clearly borrowed. I should also point out you misspelled Jackie Cooper's credit.

Sky, I can't wait to see more of your great work with this project and salute you for your passion of the Reeve Superman Films.

Thanks tweaker Ollie for your Feedback

I always Look forward to the Negative Feedback Simply for the reason
as I know where I went wrong with it

First Of all The ZOD join Us I don't like either so Iv taken that Out
Also the Echos I will tone down and do something with the background music
so its easier to understand what there saying

Its a Good Job You picked up on the Spelling mistake cos I didn't notice it...
on the end of the day it will take a few attempts to get it right,
but with the feedback I guess it will be a lot better :-)

Sky, did you have a look at that "Green Cut" - test opening?

It really would be fantastic if credits similar to those used in STM could be re-created. I think it's the main thing holding your "Crystal Edition" intro back. Your credits just stand out a bit too much. Perhaps the font could just be outlined rather than coloured in.

Couple of other things:-
- Marc McClure's credit has been misspelled.
- The use of "Close Encounters" footage is a bit wrong in my opinion. It's worked well in a few "Superman Returns" trailers, but it doesn't blend in with the STM footage in this case.

Perfectly understandable Sky. You want to make this a personal cut, so not to be confused with any other fan, or official editions of Supes 2.

Keep up the good work dude, I can’t wait to see more of the changes you have made.

I've watched this thing though several times now (including on my laptop, which is much faster than my PC), and I must say I'm really starting to appreciate it more than I've said.

I find the opening to be very enjoyable, and to have Brando narrating, amongst other dialog and sound effects is a real treat. Just a thought, perhaps the credits could be toned down a little (in terms of movement). At times they are a little over-animated. For example the Newman’s credit which appears letter after letter, as opposed to whooshing across the screen. Sometimes simplicity is the way to go.

Great treaser!!

Is there any way you could repost the opening? I wasn't around when it was first posted, and now the links are dead.

What is your current run-time?

Looking forward to this,

I really liked the teaser as well. Out of curiosity, are you going to tinker with the soundtrack as well, using tracks like the one used in the teaser, and edit the movie a bit in order to make it more serious, or are you just upgrading the special effects and reinserting Jar-El into the opening?

I just watched the teaser again, and enjoyed it even more. You pulled off the green crystal effect impressively. All of the enhancements that I noticed were nicely done. You didn't go overboard. I can't wait to see the final result.

Thanks Dude
That mean more than you know
Im scarred with the effects that I might over do them
so when i do them i sdont look at them for a week
then look at them again later to see how they look just incase i have over done them

so the way I do them is this
Just enhance what is already there
and not get over excited with the software I USE
