STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL SPECIAL EDITION 2012

I have the kcci edition of the Holiday Special, that I have torrented. As I've noticed it's very good but needs some restoration work, and making a thx sound master. I plan to make a custom 35mm copy after converting it to widescreen 16x9 and showing it 55 miles away from La Grange where I live, Austin Tx. I need somebody willing to give me some tips on how to make digitized vhs transfer look better, and some video restoration and cgi free trial programs. My deadline is November 17th,2012. Just wanted to let everyone know. It will be free of cost, but if anyone needs a way of getting to the screening, I suggest selling your star wars collections on ebay for $$. I can't supply a way to fly to tx if you live outside the state or even away from La Grange or Austin. Thanks everyone that pitches in on this project!

So....you want to make an enhanced widescreen version of the Holiday Special, and put it on 35mm film?

And, apparently you want to use CGI for some reason.

And, you want us sell our Star Wars stuff so we can go to TX to watch it, for free, even though we can already get it (on DVD) for free.

All this, AND you want to do it in about 3 weeks, as Timdiggerm has commented about.

:D - I'll give you $1000** right now. This project is awesome!!!11!!1!

This is definitely the most bizarre project in the history of OT.com.  I think the only person here who is qualified to help is Frink.

If you get KenKraly to make the opening speech before the showing, I'm there!

Transfer the holiday special to 35mm?  How do you do that, wouldn't that cost a fortune?

Archive a poor vhs copy to 35mm film.Surely you need 70mm film to capture all the detail from vhs!

Also be careful when converting to widescreen make sure you don't chop any heads off!

When finished with this amazing project please can I have a ticket to the premiere? Will it be a black tie deal?

Thanks for all your hard work.

I'm pretty sure that award goes to the "converting old fullscreen VHSes of the OT into 3D BluRays" project.

How's this going? Are you going to meet your deadline? ;)

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Thanks for the inquiry. I will meet my deadline, if all as intended goes well on this project. I need some tips and pointers on what is the best way of remastering digitally video and audio. Thanks for concerns.

But seriously, shouldn't the deadline be april the 1st?

vhs to 35mm = loony tunes!

'thx sound master!' Why stop there. Why not make it 7.1 uncompressed audio at 24khz from the mono original!

'converting it to widescreen' Could you make it 2.76 ratio as with ben hur.I Love extreme widescreen!

May the force be with you on this project! Can I still have a ticket to the premiere please despite the mocking!

Why is there a deadline? Will George hunt you down if it's not completed on time!Me sa love this project.Me sa scared!

DMDs are only significant on pinball machines. God I love them.

Almost as much as I love this thread.
