I always remembered it being called Aurabesh, so I looked it up and found Aurabesh, Aurebesh and the Aurekbesh/Aurek Besh/Aurek-Besh that everyone here is saying. Ha! :p

I honestly couldn't remember which it was, so I googled 'star wars alphabet' and wrote down the first hit- in this case, Aurek-Besh. Lol.

ErikStormtrooper has the Engli-Besh font - normal English characters drawn in AurekBesh style.  Maybe that would be a good way to do the dialogue without resorting to subtitles?

I was under the impression that we don't actually know what Artoo is saying, so although we would now see the letters, it would still be on-screen only, not subtitles. We would have to do the translating separately, which would be fun. :P

Yeah I'm in the Aurebesh camp.

I vote no english. The one change I loved about A New Hope SE was that they changed the english wording on the tractor beam to the aurebesh titles.

Oh I wasn't saying anything about its use in the movie. I was just saying that I'm with those that call it Aurebesh. I like the fact that we never knew exactly what Artoo was saying. Left it up to the imagination, I look forward to seeing what Ady has cooked up though. =P

no, there will be no subtitles for the R2 translation. You'll all have to figure out what R2 is saying on the readout for yourselves. lol

Good news.  Suddenly having subs show up just once for R2 dialogue would be odd.

Did you make up R2's dialogue yourself or is there a different source you got it from like a shooting script or something?  I imagine someone was probably sitting outside the cockpit reading some lines so Mark would have something to react to...or maybe not.

Hahaha! I never knew that! It will indeed be a lot of fun to see what Ady sticks in there now. Anyone else have the Star Wars SE Monopoly manual, with the Aurek-Besh on the back?

Totally.  What's sad is that I can almost read it without the guide...

learning a new language are we 005?

Yay!  I went through ANHR once and translated all of the text to english.  This time, I hope its more than your kids' names over and over again. ;-)

lol Really that what it was? Lame! Is that a continuity error in itself?

Lame? I think it's sweet. And maybe a little slap in the face for those of us who take it too seriously. Oh wait. This is ADYWAN we're talking about. Nobody takes it more seriously. He'll probably end up putting more man-hours into Star Wars than anybody save Lucas himself.

Still, it's sweet.

has anyone noticed that when luke's in his ship and R2's talking and the dialogue shows up on his translator, u can't read it? i know Vaderios did a naboo mock up of it, but can we fix it so we know wat R2 is saying?

That was the first thing I ever suggested on this thread.  Ady says that he will be stabilizing the text, but I'm sure he'll also give us an actual translation.  Which means that someone has to come up with lines for R2-D2.

i've already redone the readout for R2's lines using the basic font. There is now a real conversation going on but i'll leave that up to someone else to translate cuz i'm keeping that secret. its more fun that way. lol

Are you sure you translated it correctly? i only put my kids names in there a couple of times. there was lots of other things in there too, mainly silly stuff, but i knew that someone would try and translate the text so i thought i'd have a little fun. lol

Where was this in ANH:R?

Good Question! I was ready to ask by myself...

The only spot i remember is a little text on the new Millenium falcon targeting computers.

Ok boys and girls. I was inspired by Vaderios Angel's post of his OTize Jedi Starfighter cockpit to make one of my own, basically the opposite. Unfortunantly I grabbed scenes from A New Hope to do this which left me with no dedicated thread to post it in. So since the whole trilogy has Xwings I decided to post it here. Let me know what you all think.

They'd cover up too much of the action though. I think the cockpits are fine as they are.

Yeah, which makes me wonder when Ady says he wants the battle in ROTJ to be bigger than the one in ROTS?! Yikes! ;)

Anyway, ESB. Um...great movie!

I'd still like to hear opinions on my idea of R2 falling straight down the hole after he activates the hyperdrive rather than that hesitation there is now. No biggie, but I think it would be funny.

Interesting enough. It supposed the engine of the hyperdrive and the music make the scene loud so nothing other can heard ( apart from 3PO) i wouldnt say dont add a good metal sound but i dont have problem with that ;)

Axia, like the display work you've done!  Like others, though, I'm not too sure on the reflections...
