I'm sure the new crawls is going to look great.
It's cool that they're being made consistent, but in all honesty, how did you guys even NOTICE that the crawls were that different?
I accept that other fans have keener eyes than I when it comes to SFX errors, or continuity between shots. But even if you watch the films back-to-back, it's two hours between one crawl and the next. :)
Honestly, I never noticed. I also never understood how the prequel ones could be different, since they were made in a computer. You'd think they'd have a template.
It's just nice to know they're the same. It also allows Ady to make changes if he wanted to.

I don't know how much I would've noticed the difference in the crawls, but the speed at which the logo recedes is ridiculous in some versions. It's like they were just trying to get it over with. :p
I think that's only in 04SE STAR WARS but yeah, that one's definitely noticeable.

Also just wanted to say that the consistent opening 'crawl' development is going to be a neat improvement overall, too. And as others have mentioned, one of the really annoying backward steps with the 2004 ANH release was the faster receding 'main title'. What were they thinking? It was so great to see it at it's more impactful slower pace in ANH:R.
^At first, I thought 'wow, the scaling of the Falcon is a little off!' (and it is compared to the movie) But then I look at it a bit more, especially at the cockpit, and it's much closer to reality. :p

Thanks for the clip, Ady, it looks great! Did you rerotoscope all the sabres or did you just colour correct some of the shot?
My only problem is that I don't really like the light coming from where the sabres are touching, it was never there in any of the original films and I personally like it that way, but that's just me and I totally understand why you'd want to do it :-)
And @ Jaitea: LOL :-)
All the sabers have been re-rotoscoped. Colour correction just wouldn't fix the mess that the 2004 sabers are.
