The main power generators pic is from this card:

http://www.swccgpc.com/cards/hoth/ls/hothmainpowergenerators.gif

I have the card and can scan it in as a PNG image in whatever resolution you would need...ie...600, 1200, 2400....

By the way, the card game is still being played and I am involved in the committee. I can also ask if they have the original image.

Since the card was printed at likely no more than 300 dpi, you won't that much better a scan even at a higher resolution.

If the original image is higher res, that would be a better source.

I've scanned the card in the past.  The scan that is previously posted is about as good as a scan will get.

Perhaps someone here could put up a screenshot showing the best 'close-up' look at the movie version Main Generator, where it is seen in a 'targeting display' just as General Veers orders "Target, maximum fire-power".  I don't know how important it will be to Adywan in the end, but there are some noticeable differences between the movie version and this other image that has been shown on here.  Most notably, at the inside areas of the four prominent sections, where the middle horizontal sections join.  I don't know how important that is or not, but there are certainly differences.

Adywan -  That reminds me.  I really like the shape of the excellent existing 'targeting display' graphic, as well as the green 'co-ordinates' around it.  If you are planning on changing the image of the Main Generator shown in it in any way, I hope you will choose to keep the actual graphic as it is.  And I'd like to vouch for the existing 'macrobinocular' one that the Rebel Trooper first spots the 'AT-AT leg' on, too.

Look at these two shots! I just noticed that the same plate shot was used with and without the generator in two different shots just a few seconds apart! Another thing that needs work!

I'm surprised that the Imperials managed to find the shield generator since the background its next to changes EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU SEE IT.  In front of a mountain, no where near a mountain, with a turret next to it, all alone on a plain...

And I'm not sure how much HD shots from the movie will help Ady since he has the HD copies of the movie already...

I don't recall whether or not it's been brought up in this thread, but I didn't see it in the suggestion terminal...

In the 2004 release, they changed Slave I's engine sound the match AOTC. Problem is, it sounds remarkably stupid, especially compared with the original jet sound. Could the original effect be restored, please?

I'll second that. I always hated the "Motorboat" sound of the Slave-I in the 2004/Episode II editions...

Please restore the old sound and please, for the love of all that's holy, don't change the Slave-I's paint job in ESB!

I've said it before; the sound design in the PT bugs me more than anything else. It's the warbling engines and stuff that bugs me most. Every second pod racer did it, every second spaceship does it, even that big green creature in the arena in Episode II does it! RIDICULOUS! That's something I hope Ady will give some attention to when he gets there. It drives me nuts. It's like Mr. Burtt did it once and thought "that's neat," then went overboard with it. Oh, he also overdid it with the French horn or something-sounding flyover/flypass sounds, first heard by speeder bikes in ROTJ.

If only we could have had somewhat of the original colouration (albiet a lot fresher-looking), along with a  touch of the original sound on the Prequel version of Slave 1....

Ripplin -  I'll second a lot of that.  Some of the sound effects in the Prequels turned out to be very annoying!

I've got no problem with Slave 1's changing paint job.  It's not like it changed shape or anything over the years, it just got a different paint job in the last 30 years.

True, and it does show a certain independence from Boba to distinguish himself from his father somewhat, when he inherited the ship.  Either that or he ran out of BLUE.   ;)

Guess I just had a fixed idea of what Slave 1 should look like over the years, before AOTC came along.

...Oh and Ady - While we're on famous ESB debates - Will you be coloring Han's winter coat BLUE or BROWN? Yes, there's a debate as to what color it was...Which is why Hasbro made two different versions of the same figure a few years ago...

There isn't much to debate on this one anymore. The coat IS brown. Any and all ref showing the coat being any shade of blue is due to the poor coloring that has been/is being corrected.

I have seen the coat first hand at Celebration IV, and it is 100% brown.

Mmmm....They did make the original figure with a blue coat back in 1980...waaayy before any dvd colour job was around.

Looks blue-ish to me!

I don't think we can base the color of the jacket off a 1980 Kenner action figure (or modern Hasbro ones for that matter). :)

However, the jacket was most definitely brown for filming.  However (again), I always think of the jacket as blue and have always thought of it as blue throughout the course of all iterations of the film.  Whether it appears that way due to lighting, film stock, color correction or whatever, the jacket looks blue on screen.  Of course, some shots make it look brown as it should.  Ah who knows.  We'll see what Ady's corrections make it look like in the end...

What you talking about Savage man? The kenner figures are cannon.. Final.. Nuff said.  How dare you!!

Joking of course.

Well, whatever...looks blue to me. I always thought that they just kept the same sort of theme with his outfits all through the film. Dark blue winter coat, dark blue Bespin coat. It's all in the design you know! Or are you guys gonna tell me his Bespin jacket is blue due to the colour balls up of the dvd?? :)

I know, they are Lucas approved after all.  After all, I try to live my life the Kenner way.  I haven't bent my elbows or knees since 1978! :)

I actually really liked the sounds. I was watching the pod race in Episode I recently and was like damn "that's some awesome sound design". The OT have comparably bland sound design. Iv'e always oved the PT as far as sounds and visuals are concerned. It's just the plot, characters and dialouge that needs work...

You people and the complainting, what's next Hoth is to Barren? Save "That" For the Prequels. I may be contradicting myself Though ;]

Really? Well, to each his own, of course. IMO, much of the PT sound design (particularly engines) sound like re-used sound effects with ever-so-slightly different filters applied in Cool Edit depending on which vessel is currently traversing the screen. "Ben, I'd like the spaceships and speeders in the new movies to either warble, screech, or zoom. Think you can pull that off?"

Jet engine sounds will always sound more appropriate for spaceships and speeders than motorboat sounds. At least...that's my opinion.

I never liked Ben Burtt...

Lets leave it at that lol

As for the Jacket... As I said earlier in this thread... what something looks like in reality, is NOT what it looks like on film. Clothing, walls, paint, everything looks different after being filmed due to lighting and other affects.

You ahve to take that into account and kinda accept it as a form of... stylized reality...

What may look blue to one camera is brown to another and so on and so fourth...

Is it not sad that in this time, we are more surprised by acts of love than acts of hate?

I agree with GoodMusician, that the coat coloration is due to the nature of the camera, combined with the atmosphere/snow/sun.

I have mixed feelings on the sound effects. The OT's sounds had a more grounded feeling but the PT sounds are impressive.

I like the sounds of the pods in Episode I. But then in Episodes II and III EVERYTHING sounded like a pod racer!
