And I stepped RIGHT in it! :D
No but seriously, I don't think a large Lambda shuttle would be used by a mere Captain........Needa just isn't that posh like Palps & Vader....or Tarkin........maybe Piett.......The TIE shuttle should have stayed........out of focus, let your mind fill in the blanks, it doesn't have to be the repeditive Lambda class.
But I know Ady has his mind set on this....so I'll not bring it up again.
J
...So JT has the kiddy model?
That SE docking bay shot looked really good though, wonder if it could be used for the shot where Vader docks at the beginning of ROTJ? The underbelly of the SD would have to be removed and the framing around the bay entrance.

The only way I could that footage of the shuttle landing being used would be when Ady takes on Return of the Jedi. And that's only if Lucas decides to include in the Blu-Ray the footage that was actually shot where Vader arrives from the Executor and force-chokes the Imperial guard when they try to prevent him from going to see The Emperor (though in the photos, it appears that it's Jerjerrod who gets the same treatment as Motti).
FROM BLUEHARVEST.NET
SCENE 68 INT DEATH STAR - CORRIDOR TO EMPEROR'S TOWER 68
Darth Vader walks down the corridor to the Emperor's Tower and
private elevator. The Emperor's private guard steps in Vader's
path.
GUARD
Halt! The Emperor does not wish to be
disturbed at the moment.
VADER
(raising his gloved hand to the two guards
and choking them with the Force)
The Emperor will see me, now!
GUARD
(repeating Vader's command)
The Emperor will see you, now.
"Darth Vader... tall and threatening in his black helmet, flowing black cape, and a face, forever masked, by a foreboding metal breath screen...
Darth Vader... a figure, who moves forever in a cloud of awesome evil!"

No but seriously, I think you might be a tad wrong, if I may point out that in the next film a Lambda shuttle is used for "mere" crew and technical parts for the forrest moon.
Not even Piett or his Lieutenant bats an eye at the Lambda shuttle, so I think they are are used quite often, the question is, should Vader and the Emperor arrive in mere cargo and crew shuttles?

Yeh, that's one thing that's being changed in ROTJ:R. The Tydirium is going to look more like a cargo shuttle. I never understood why they used the same design as a ship that carries dignitaries.

What about shot of Vader on board of Executor coming out from the shuttle? Someone can say that it's meaningless too but Vader is AWESOME!!! :D
Well, he´s awesome and all but I can´t picture a stormtrooper parade for each time he arrives to his command ship (or any ship or destination, actually)... It just looks out of place in ESB, the Death Star II arrival in RotJ is a completely diferent matter, being an official envoy of the Emperor and even then it seems clear he finds all of that an annoyance... :)

Well true. As we see him landing the shuttle and walk alone on the endor platform(there was a mockup actualy from AxiaEuxine that put two stormtroopers aside vader) or even he escorts luke back to the death star(in the del scenes)
The question is that an unexpected visit from vader can cause a parade then why not every time vader lands somewhere have the suitable parade.
contradiction?

Yeah sure we all agreed ages ago that the rebels shouldn't use a Lambda shuttle (as Ady reiterated, he's gonna change the shuttle to an Imperial cargo one) that a Lambda shuttle should be reserved for Imperial Royalty like The Emperor and his right hand man...........
...........and Captain Needa............oh I've done it again!.....honestly I'll shut up now.

By cargo do you mean this ship: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sentinel-class_landing_craft or something completely different?
I dunno what Ady has in mind... but yeah, that's what I think will do, something a bit 'dog-eared'.

Do you mean the Sentinel-class shuttle? Because that would be awesome, it wouldn't be too different from the Tyderium, but it would at least be a proper cargo shuttle.

Yeah, I think it would be a perfect replacement since the cockpit is the same so it can be superimposed onto the original cockpit.

I have a question for Adywan -
It a bit off-topic, but I really want to ask this -
do you consider a possibility that you might someday revisit the old Star Wars "Clone Wars" cartoon?
I'm asking this because I was watching the "Clone Wars" cartoon bonus features on DVD and those guys were talking about how they watched and got inspired by the Original Trilogy, especially the part where Obi-Wan was talking about Anakin. How when they were kids they were thinking, "Old Ben and Luke's father were hanging out together? I wonder what the heck was that all about?". They said they were trying to bring some of those memories and fantasies back and try to make them real.
You can feel that those guys are real Star Wars fans an that they truly wanted to make something prequel-related, but something that would also honor the Original Trilogy.
And, In a way, I think they did it because this cartoon feels different than PT or the new CGI cartoon. I wouldn't say it's like OT, but it definitely had something very Star War'ish about it.
It would be very interesting to see what you could do with it.
I truly love this cartoon, it's the only thing from expanded universe that I honestly love and enjoy. And it would be great to have it as an addition to the Revisited series.
I understand that this is an off-topic question. I just couldn't find a better place to ask this.
