Tip of the ice berg too but I digress... Perhaps I was generalizing concerning Lucas overall in my opinion of the man, but that's all it is, an opinion. Yes, he's done good things and does have good ideas even now but implementation and people challenging him to make it better, does not exist anymore.

Prior to all the money, power, and such Lucas was hungry for it. He had drive and grand vision he wanted to share but people forget that it's not just him that made Star Wars what it was/is... (see above at two major contributors). Over the years it's slipped and we all know this to be true. Otherwise why be in a discussion boards that's major purpose is to edit this and recognize that the past versions of these films are better???

If my comments are seemingly to bash Lucas, it's probably because they are. I don't deny that... lol I don't like what Star Wars has become and I AM very much excited to help Ady because it's a vision I agree with more and feel like I can have some say in it's overall redemption with Revisited.

Isn't that why you all post here? (other than to eat popcorn. ;) lol) I like to assume that people post here so they can offer up suggestions and debate about what should and should not be in certain cuts. Albeit passionately in most cases... Overall, can you truly say that's what Lucas allows in his playground if you worked at LFL? I'd say no. And no I have not worked at LFL but I do know people who have... lots of them... so at least I can believe that my train of thought is accurate with the intel I have acquired to support my opinion (and yes, it's only my opinion, feel free to engage me in PMs for disagreements as this has seemed to have touched some nerves here. I don't mind at all... ^^).

Facts, facts, and more facts eh? lol... I was wrong concerning the divorce timing and all, not afraid to admit that. However towards that stretch of time in producing ESB was the beginning of the end for Lucas's marriage. ESB was used to finance Skywalker Ranch though so that was accurate. Regardless, I was never a SW production fact person nor have I really cared all too much... I'm an EU specialist and even that has been tainted too... Regardless I just happen to know all kinds of other intel and stuff so forgive if I mixed up that one little "fact" now and then... However, please... =D feel free to engage in a discussion with me if you want to talk about this, it's fun for me and I learned something. =D But in a PM, I think having it here takes away from concentrating on ESB:R and that's not fair.

What we all have to never forget is that if it wasn't for Lucas with all his flaws and errors included, none of this would matter.

That makes me think of a hypothetical situation: if we had never had the SEs or the PT or anything else that has tarnished our memories, and only had awesome versions of the OOT...would Star Wars fanediting even exist? If someone made their own SE, would they be viewed as Lucas is now, tampering with things that could've been left alone? (even if it was just fixing continuity errors or blemishes, and nothing else)

I appreciate that you also brought out the fact that Lucas is letting people mess with his movies. They even encouraged people to put stuff on YouTube before! That is pretty great and shouldn't be forgotten among all the nonsense. ;)

That is something to think about...some of the changes are trying to fix what the SE's have tarnished or have brought to the forefront...good observation and insight.

Thanks for the positive feedback. i was hoping I didnt get to badly ripped... :-), but I did get a box of band-aids for just such an occasion.

That is an interesting question... mmm.... probably not actually... People usually don't take action until there's a gross injustice or something first. Good question and you're right, it has lead to good things but in a round about way (Lucas's newer direction I mean, not your posting gurgle... lol). I was ready with a first aid kit myself... ^^ I didn't expect to escape unscathed and it's what happens when you're drawing the fire away from the cruisers... ;)

Perhaps George's problem is that he's just never satisfied with anything.  I can understand the conceit that films are never truly completed in that you don't always get 100% of everything you envisioned.  Still, you shouldn't spend 30+ years of your life pining over a trio of films, and never coming to a point of contentment over them.  I'm just surprised that Star Wars is all Lucas does anymore because he must have so many other stories he wants to tell.  Other films about other things he's had stirring in his mind for decades.

Having a passionate point of view is fine because we all love Star Wars in different ways, and this is a place to exchange ideas and opinions.  Ady does what he does because he clearly deeply loves what Star Wars used to be, and wants to restore its magic and grandeur for all to see.

But we've kind of veered off into TV's Frink's avatar, haven't we?

One thing that is possibly impossible to fix (at least I can't think of a way other than building a new carbonite block and filming it) is Han's shirt change from going into the chamber and coming out frozen (it's an error that wasn't fixed in ROTJ either).

I'm actually working on a way of fixing that :)

How many arms do you have exactly?

Ewan's Big No is nearly as epic as Hayden/Vader's. I had no idea.

With the soundboards and radio dramas, etc..., editors sure have a lot of extra audio to work with they may not have in years past. Of course, I'm sure LFL just thinks it's nothing more than a fun little "game" for their site.

MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Once Han is in the Carbonite and the Ugnaughts knock the slab over, the music has a "flanging" effect that needs to be fixed.

It is one of those words that sounds rude if you don't know what it means.

Like futtock.

I don't joke when it comes to fixing the OT.  ;)

It also occurs in ROTJ when the Emperor arrives.  But, I digress....  :)

You know, I've got a friend who knows Star Wars as "everybody" knows it (making a few difference with "everyone" here), and I was surprised when a few months ago he took a closer look at my work and he said: "Well, as far as I understand the success of the firsts Star Wars is not due to George Lucas, but mostly to the people he worked with..." !

To notice this friend is not a scholar at all concerning cinema, directors etc... And we're even not american, nor english... So don't worry too much about what people think.

Oh I actually don't care what people think concerning my opinion. lol... I take orders from just one person, me.  Yes, it's a wonder I'm still alive.... =D I'll take orders from Ady however,  (so I guess that's two people instead of just me? ^^) but should he or anyone reach Lucas level psychosis then obviously I may alter the deal (pray... etc etc you know the line. lol) but I seriously doubt this will happen with Ady. ;) Besides, my original intent was to draw some of the fire away from the cruiser. Looks like it worked... ^^

Hey guys, I forget who actually brought this up but it has something to do with the probe droid attacking an outpost and then Han saying "It isn't friendly whatever it is..." Can someone tell me what page that's on? I have an idea too pull this off... but in a more subtle way.

Um just in case I missed a post...did you guys see they added Ewan to the soundboard? :

Off topic, but who was it that was uploading updated sound archives each time a new soundboard was released? I really can't wait for more PT boards to get released. Especially an Anakin one.

I think your post was a little more than an opinion, and it was interesting (otherwise I wouldn't have quote you). Just thought the point I shared, wich was not an opinion neither but a fact, was interesting to mention. Sorry for my lacks with vocabulary or formulation.

Anyway my conclusion is that Justice makes its way ;)
