Yeah, I don't think a lobotomized man cares much for aesthetics. Just stick him in a room and let him recharge until needed. :p An interesting idea, but I don't see the point either.
Well i had to try :P
Interesting enough I always thought that Lobot was from Robot. Now Ripplin gives a Lobot(omized) explanation. thanks for that :)

Yeah, that was the joke. Lobot, short for lobotomized. They turned him from a man into a cyborg. :p

Angel is right. It's the same set.
It could easily be explained as window panes that can be turned opaque with the press of a button. You can get windows like that now. I don't think it needs to be changed.

Yeah, in some of the EU books, he talks. I prefer to think he's mute. (or just chooses not to speak, like Buckethead) Much cooler. :p

Yes. I came with that thought too :)
if you follow that idea then you can actually have clouds outside with a tanned effect. Still, the center light is not matching with the open one. but since ady confirmed he will not change it then its fine by me.

Or maybe it's just another room in another building that was made by the same contractor so he used the same design and just added ceiling panels.
The production crew redressed the set to save money instead of building a whole new room for a single shot. Stop overthinking everything.
My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.
Lobot likes his solitude. Leave him be.

I can't help but laugh whenever I see someone in this forum say that. Most of us wouldn't be here if we didn't overthink things. :)
Nobody on this board simply "thinks" anymore. We're all over thinkers, proudly going about and over thinking everything we can think or over think of!
At least I think or over think that's what's going on with most of us. Otherwise as it's been mentioned we really wouldn't ever be here right? But then again we might be here in any case b/c we are fans at heart...but fans to what extent exactly?
SEE!!!!!
I'm over thinking again.
What were we talking about? Lobot's shoes right?
For jokes :P

Thanks for the inspiration. :)
Is that pedolando? ITS A TRAP!
Back on topic.
Ady since you ve made the shaft in 3d will you consider making some subtle 3d projection to the bespin building when our heroes are landing? meaning enhancing the simple zoom with a more dynamic one?

OK time to REALLY over think things
(don't blame me ?THEY started it!)
but why not add some computer console screen thingymebobs to lobots wall, just so it no longer looks like a reused set and more like his office/playboy pad

Lobot only needs his neural band to communicate with the central computer... he is mostly a computer, so no need of external gadgets, it's like a meditation chamber: no need of computers, nor windows...
I think this scene is the perfect example of "LESS IS MORE"
Leave Lobot in his meditation chamber as it is, he will be most pleased (and so will I) ;-)

I think this revelation that it's the same set is important in that we've confirmed that center circle is solid.

Here's a thing. Speaking for THX.. i mean lobot i noticed that he was meditating to a room similar to leia's apartment.
The center circle in the room is actually a light!
Since tho there is a different continuity in revisited edits will you ady consider make it open too? meaning with clouds from behind?
-Angel
Of course. It makes perfect sense that it's a light. Also interesting that he is meditating at night time. Which indicates our heroes were there longer than one day.

Lobot's room is perfect as is. If anything, we should make the spoke windows more solid so that the room is completely closed off. Opening it more is a bit too distracting for that scene. We never noticed it was the same set because Lobot is the focus of the scene, not where he is.

To say it's night time is to assume it is an exterior room... what if that room it's not? Like a locker, an storage room... a meditation chamber :)
Lobot (suposedly) needs quiet and peace to concentrate on his job (or resting), so no distractions (i.e. nice sky and clouds views) are needed.
I hope Adywan does not touch this scene!

I hope he paints green and blue stripes on the wall.
