I see that you used the SE to replace the music for the Main Title. You shouldn't do that. The SE is mixed incorrectly.
About half the score when they went to put it on the SE still had the Tomlinson original mixes intact...BUT... the otherhalf had to be remixed... it was remixed in a singular afternoon... Because of this, every track that was remixed is critically flawed.
The Sound Field is narrowed, and the HORNS are flipped... meaning things Like "Main Title" have horns flipped, tracks like "Hyperspace" have the strings too narrow... and the "Imperial March" lacks a lot of its depth and widness...
I'm soo glad you're cleaning up the music, but you can't use the SE... in all honesty... please don't.
i did say it was a rough mix & it was just for the benefit of the clip and nothing more. i won't be doing any audio work until i have the video section locked down, due to editing. But it would be great if you could let me know what pieces of the SE soundtrack are ok to use. I would be using the Anthology box set for the music anyway. also your mix of Bobas voice sounds pretty good, but i really hate Morrrison's performance and will be sticking with the original superior voice.

I thought the clip looked great!
I was wondering about how much work you are doing with the opening crawls...
I know you reworked the one for SWR to match the others. The vertical placement of the crawls is different in all six movies.
It is a small thing, but it would be great to see the crawls along the same plane. Not that one watches all six at once, but it is more of a subconscious thing.
Um...
No, i'm making the colouring of the crawl uniform throughout all 6 movies, but not the placement.

It's the beep beep beep that Lando does with his watch thingy to Lobot. It's the same beep beep beep as Luke's on Hoth. Plus, Lando's beep is not in sync with his finger movement.
Like I said, just a small thing!
Just a small thing, but how cool a fix would that be?! It's something I've always noticed, too. Well, not so much the actual sound, but the sync.
That's one things thats bugged me too so i will be fixing that

I have a question (and forgive me for bringing this up again). What is your final word on the spiraling Star Field when the Millennium Falcon goes into Hyperspace? I know you talked about consistency in visuals, but I personally believe that this instance doesn't need any visual tweaking for the sake of continuity. Everything in Star Wars whether it's blasters, lightsabers, space fighters, force effects or sound effects always have their own unique style compared to each other. It's kind of like why all the Hyperspace charging sound effects keep changing from movie to movie.
I know that the spiraling stars are not used in the prequel trilogy, but neither are the stretching stars from the cockpit point of view. And if you look at it from a technical stand point, the spiraling effect is used in 2/3 of the original trilogy! You could try and find a way to incorporate the stretching stars and spiraling star field into the prequels if you ever get around to them (I can think of a way to do the Naboo cruiser from Episode One going into hyperspace easily), kind of like with Jango's voice when he's wearing the helmet.
Believe me. The spiraling Star Field was not an accident that the crew just slapped on there, nor was it something that fans argued about or even disputed about. Heck, Lucas doesn't even have any issues with it! Isn't that a first? And as I've said before, the effect itself is even reproduced in a lot of Star Wars products like in Knights of the Old Republic! And like the movies, it's only reproduced if the circumstances are right. So why not leave it in? It doesn't hurt the story, disrupt the pace or bring up questions on how Hyperspace works. It's just a tiny little awesome element that works on it's own right that really does give it a bigger boost of energy that is not present in a static star field.

I found the shot you're talking about and I agree the spinning starfield on takeoff looks better. I miss it now... :(
I explained before that the spinning starfield will eb gone, same as in ANH:R. I've never liked it at all. It also only appears in eps IV & V and in the rest there is no spinning starfield. So its gone. Discussion over. lol

Looks great (though I still think the guy standing to our right of the Laser Turret looks way too static and similar to the later shot during the battle)!
However the file was pretty jerky on my mac at work here. Anyone else have that issue?
I haven't finished the FX work yet. I'm looking for another character to replace him. I don't have any jerking issue on my PC when playing it.

Here's another mock-up of both the darker Star Destroyer and a Super Star Destroyer that better matches the lighting in the next shot.
Much better . the executor's shadowing matches the previous shot now

You want the impossible Luke's line At 1:11:26 of ESB Any one else notice the ground around Yoda, when luke steps and the ground around Yoda flexes , and sinks. I dont know how to post a pictue of the clip, but that was always something that took me out of that scene of the movie. I posted this before but nobody chimmed in so any boby want to give this a look and opinion also Can that be fixed.
Yes , this was mentioned before. At first i was going to put it down to it being set in a swamp but upon closer inspection the ground moves a bit to much and the movement covers too much area. I'm going to fix this.

I'd love to see the blinking red light fitting on the exterior of the Falcon fixed as Chewie bumps into it with C-3PO on his back during the escape from Cloud City, damn that thing looks cheap when it comes loose after a little bump.
The Wampas dismembered arm is the wrong size for where it is cut. Annoying.
Can't agree more with returning Boba Fett's voice to the original, how about returning the Slave 1 audio to the original as well? The recycled sound from that Attack of the Clones movie is irritating.
How about a HD release when all is said and done. It would be beautiful.
The light will be fixed, the wampa shot will be gone so there will be no problem with the length of the severed arm.
As for a HD release, well here's the crunch. My PC isn't capable of working with HD footage with all the work being done on it. But, now i had a go with a quad core and saw what its capable of then i'm hooked. So i'm announcing that production of ESB:R has now officially stopped until later in the year. Not only have i still got to find the money for the monitor but i really want to upgrade the processor to quad core and do a 720p version (although there won't be a HD version of ANH:R. Its impossible to do now.) I reckon it will take me until about Xmas to save up enough for the processor. It just isn't worth me doing any more work on it if i'm going to be changing resolution to work with.
