Crikey :) that's a pretty comprehensive list you've got there. But I know something you've missed ;)

Okay, just to say that I've finally gotten a chance to post the start of an 'at-a-glance' update of the many various ideas previously brought up here so far, that may be useful to others following the progress of 'ESB:Revisited'.  It also includes quite a few links to previews that Adywan has shown so far.

Nice job IF.  I saw you building it and was tempted to interrupt your workflow (around post 12 I think), but I just couldn't work up the nerve.  I look forward to your updates.

Great work on the list ImperialFighter :) I need to go through the main page here and update the list at some point, but i'll probably leave that until the edit is almost complete.

A little update: I've just finished making the Hoth backpack coverings.

I just need to add the press studs to the flaps then dirty them up a bit.

Now i'm probably going to be offline for about 10 days from the end of this weekend. The bloody council want to rewire the flat and i've got to dismantle my workstation and everything else so they can redo the wiring. I've got to pack everything away so nothing gets damaged when they are working here. They're also ripping out my kitchen and  fitting a new one, so no electric or being able to cook anything for around 10 days. Then once they're done i've got to redecorate the whole place because they are ripping the walls apart to get to the wiring. Not looking forward to it but at least they have said that we will get a redecorating grant, but knowing the council it will be about enough to cover costs of a pot of paint. Luckily i kept most of the wallpaper used in the house so i can patch most of it up afterwards.

No TV, no PC, no Internet & not being able to build anything for 10 days. How the bloody hell am i going to survive? lol

Good luck Ady, is the council putting you up somewhere while the works being done?

Nice work on the backpacks.

See you when you get back.

Nice, make sure your workstation is safe.

If anything were to happen to your work I'm sure those electricians will have to be taken into protective custody.

Are you going to be there the whole time they're working?  Because electricians rewiring an apartment is the PERFECT cover for ILM goons to steal all of your stuff! ;-)

But seriously, is it like a fire hazard or something?  I've never heard of anything on this scale happening to somewhere while someone is living there.

Oh, man, what a headache! Sorry to hear about the disquieting bureaucracy. Great job on all the costumes/props, BTW.

That alone would make a great fan movie... "Stealing Revisited", lol!

I hope everything goes smooth, can't wait to see more. :)

I note Ady you are also a Doctor Who fan so it would be a great chance to catch up on some Big Finish audios before the new series starts.

I've got tonnes of them loaded up on my prehistoric iRiver for just that sort of emergency (like when Scottish Water put an axe through a water main and only spotted the error after it had flooded the electrical substation down the hill, it was candles and time travel under a duvet for a few days and a mad rush to eat all the ice-cream before it melted).

Welcome aboard Seraphyn.

It's only the start of it, and I know of heaps I've missed so far!  ;)

Can you mention the one you know of, here, in case it's something that hasn't been brought up yet?

Adywan, would it be possible to 'blacken out' the little bit of Anthony Daniel's arm that shows through his C3PO costume during the shot where he says "If I may say so Sir, I noticed earlier the hyperdrive motivator has been damaged.  It's impossible to go to lightspeed." -

Will look forward to seeing some more of the confirmed changes you've decided upon at that point.  Until then, I'll try to gather as many of everyone's suggestions in general, and hope to add a further batch of them onto my list later tomorrow.

I don't know if it's possible to improve this in any way, or not, but there seems to be a sudden, distracting 'fogging' at the bottom of the frame during this shot of Vader and Boba Fett coming around the corner after Han is tortured -

It seems to be on the GOUT version too.  This 'fogging' also appears suddenly just as Han is lowered onto the 'torture machine', but that is less distracting as the machine lights up at that point.  No biggie however.

However, as far as 'continuity' errors go, we all know by now that 'Empire' has more than it's fair share.  I only noticed this one recently, and I guess it'll have to remain -

Just before Luke jumps into the water on Dagobah, he's correctly wearing the 'silver bullets' wrapped around his left leg....

....but when he climbs out of the water and stands up, the 'silver bullets' are now suddenly missing....

Nice work on the Rebel 'backpacks' so far, and lets hope your upheaval goes reasonably straightforward.

Yeh, i don't really want to leave a load of workmen in my flat on their own. I just don't trust them, never have. But they won't put anyone up in another place while they are doing it.  It's all thanks to the bloody EU directives and the health and safety regulations they imposed to council & housing association properties. Because the wiring is over 30 years old all the houses around here are having to be rewired.

Ripplin said:

I guess this is good and bad news, then. I hope they give you a decent amount of money to make repairs and whatnot afterwards.

I've been told today that it's likely to be around a £50 grant at the most depending upon how many rooms they have to channel into the walls for the wiring. So f**k all really.

I'm not a big fan of the Big Finish audios or audio books/ plays in general. I'm more of a visual person. I think that the only audio dramas i've ever been able to listen to all the way through are the Star Wars radio plays, which i've listened to countless times.  Can't wait for the new series of Doctor Who to start on April 3rd. And I've got the Star Wars concert the day before so a good Easter weekend for me :)

ImperialFighter, i have looked at the shot you mentioned and cannot see any of Anthony Daniels arm showing. can you point to the section you mean?

EDIT: yeh, i've noticed the bullets missing but adding them would be very difficult to do

Don't blame you, especially having seen that episode of The IT Crowd where the workman is in Jen's apartment for the day. :p

Adywan, Anthony Daniel's skin just shows briefly during that shot of C3PO, as he waves his right arm up.  He seems to be wearing a black t-shirt, or body stocking, and there's a gap showing between the join near his armpit.  It would be good to see this fixed if possible.

I must be blind.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

ImpFighter,

Would it be possible to include some more GOUT shots in your comparison thread?  I directed a friend there, and he was confused by some of the "changes"...

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

Cheers mate :) not sure i'm allowed to mention it. It's an effect shot I worked on but I don't know if Ady wants to leave some things as a surprise or not :)

It's actually a part of a scene you mentioned so I guess techinically it is listed.

Well i think Impfighter got confused with the metal that overlaps with the shoulder part..

So what, you wouldn't even notice unless you already knew about it and paused the movie at that exact moment.

I think this is getting a bit *too* nitpickish.

Fixing continuity errors and bad FX is one thing, but now you're in Lucas territory.

Hey, Lucas adds shit. He doesn't fix anything.
