New member. I vote for Boba's original vioce, Temura Morrison's voice doesnt sound authoritive enough to question Vader. Temura Morrison's voice dubbing takes away from thye impact of about what is to, or could happen to Han. Boba's original voice  is what always  brought  depth to the begining of that scene and set it up as being a turning point for when you new the good guys where not going to come out on top like in the rest of the trilogy.

I am shocked By the amount of hostility towards this post! it seems by the reaction that it is indeed a shut case, and if your opinion veers off the norm that is canon by certain members (you know who you are), bullying and aggressive behaviour is rife.

What a shame as I thought that even on sites like this there is a group of members willing to shout down a voice because it doesn't agree with what they say goes. And anything that isn't what they agree with is beaten down by abuse and aggression.

I am a kite dancing in a hurricane …

GoodMusician, I don't see suggestion to remove the tape from the tubes Vader cuts in the Suggestion Terminal.

Here is a picture posted by Darth Stewie

To add to this, Ady could make the cut parts glow like some things do in the prequels when a lightsaber cuts thru them.

I'm against keeping Temura Morrison's voice in this edit. It's just not classic Trilogy. Lucas should not have changed it to begin with. Only reason Why it was changed was that Lucas shot the prequels in Austrailia and Temura Morrison is a well known actor from that country. Now this is just my own speculation, but I believe it was a public relations decision that landed Temura Morrison the role as Boba fetts father to begin with. No offence to you folks in Austrailia at all.

Offence taken, ABD. I would venture that 90% of Australian viewers had never heard of Morrison before AOTC. I have already pointed out on this board that he's not even Australian. He's from New Zealand. That's why he has a Kiwi accent, not an Australian one. Maybe he's a popular actor there, but I'm not even sure of that.

Ouch ... you called a Kiwi an Aussie ... better hope there's not many of either around here, Auggie, or you'll be attacked on both fronts!

Lol, I should take offence to your offence taken because there was no offence to be tooken to begin with. I had bad info on Temura.

Guys, about the changes list... no need to double and triple post. No offence, but I do have a life... so It may take me a day to catch up, but do realize I will add it.

I think this should also be said:

We have to realize that the bottom line of this edit is that it is Adywan's edit. He will do what he feels is right... and SHOULD ONLY do what he feels is right. I honeslty have always felt that the PT suffered because Lucas didn't do what he wanted. He let others guide him too much... people he trusted and shoudln't have.

That ahving been said, Lets try to compromize here shall we?

Here are some options:

1) Trying to mix the voices.

2) Trying to replicate the sound of the original with the new version.

3) Keeing the new voice

4) Reinstating the original.

Now lets talk a bit about what would define this guys voice. We barely hear the Jango speak with helmet on in AOTC. That having been said, look at how much the helmet changed Leia's voice in Jedi (Bosch). It changed it from Carrie Fisher to literally the lady who did ET's voice lol...

Meaning that we could STILL have the original voice and say "it's modified becuase of the helmet."

Also, voices, I hate to correct whoever said this...ARE genetic. Seeing as vocal chords are created by our genes, and those truly are what affect our sound, in a way it IS genetic. On top of that, it can also be influenced by our upbringing. Accents aren't genetic lol.

But, seeing as Boba grew up around Jango at least till what looks to be the age of 9.. its safe to say he'd have a similar accent AND similar sound.

That is, of course, if you're taking the prequels into mind. I personalyl hope that Adywan will go back and Redo the Prequels after these edits... so I kinda consider them to be all together.

Now... the way they got Boba in the OT to sound is some voice modifications... if I'm able to play with the voices... would you all be willing to listen and concede which way might be a good idea?

Tie fighters... the colors... who would believe this?

I personally think the military, light blue/grey to be the color. Not deep blue like Vader's Starship, and not white like the originals.

I'm sorry to say this ady, but maybe you should have made the ties this same color in your ANH edit? ... but... with that already behind you... I would say that any blue to the fighters should be very light... So the fighters still have the blue, but aren't as light as they are in ANH.

Dark blue is simply out of the question... and having them all different colors... I just think that it's a little bit nearsighted as the empire is MEANT to be a personification of...well... robots. Non sentience. A Factory look and feel. Not organic or human. That being said, the colors of the fighters SHOULD remain constant.

Certainly you mean the other way around, right? That the Prequels didn't turn out well because Lucas was surrounded by yes-men who never questioned what he was doing? Unless you're referring to Lawrence Kasdan's advice that Lucas should write and direct them all himself. In that case, I agree, Lucas should not have listened.

Luke really needed to listen to his ELO mix tapes on the way to Dagobah.

It really would be funny to have something like this as a DVD extra. :) Something from the 70's could be playing. Maybe a Star Wars song by Meco! Haha. Actually, that's more elevator music material.

I just thought of a funny scene. You know when Luke is going through the depths of Cloud City, following/getting away from Vader, and he steps in that tunnel that light up? What if the usual circus music came on and those like started blinking? Heh.

Here's the things that have bothered me over the years.

When Luke runs out of the cave on Hoth there the sound of his lightsaber turning off while his lightsaber is still on.

The words on this display wiggle.

This picture explains itself.

There's new outdoor shots in this shot.

But where are the outdoor  shot in this shot.

Same here!

all of which have been noted in the corrections thread ;-)

And no... I mean what I said... he listened too much to McCallum who would say "Is it about Anakin? No. Cut it." Having come from TV, he knew how to stream line... and because of the streamlining, we LOST a ton of material from mostly Episode II... Padme's story... more about their love. Same with III.. .but lets reserve that for another talk as it COMPLETELY ignores the reason I said it.

"Too many cooks in a kitchen" is a better way to put it.

I'm still toying with making the new Boba voice more like the old one... pretty much pitch shifting and stretching and doing a bit of changing inflection too lol... it's coming out alright seeing as I just am playing with it and am just toying with it. In essence it's proving that it can be done.

Just the way the original voice says "dead" is so much more menacing.  I like the mix a lot but I'd bring more of that one word "dead", of the original voice, up in the mix more.  I think that would satisfy almost everyone.  Kiwi accent or not, Morrison had 4 lines to nail and he screwed up every one of them.  Not his fault of course.  Morrison is an excellent actor.  Even bad actors can look and sound good with a proper filmmaker at the helm.  This was the result of people just not caring.

That's pretty neat, GM! Well done. :) Having said that, you do still want Wingreen's voice completely substituted for ESB though, right? (I forget)

Speaking of Jason Wingreen, I just found out he was the actor who played Dr. Linke in the original Star Trek episode "The Empath". So he's one of the few people to appear in both franchises. I don't know who else there may be.

I can easily see both sides of the voice argument, and I really like the voice mixing idea. I agree that the word "dead" doesn't sound quite right at the moment, but see what you can do. Ady- if this does work decently, might you consider using it?
