Its really strange because i can no longer download it either. But, upon checking on my account, the file has been downloaded 16 times so far so somebody has been able to download it

This is my fourth attempt, twice with Firefox, twice with IE.  Firefox hasn't given up yet, about 1/3 of the way there.  Keeps stopping and starting.  Problems with Rapidshare, I suppose.

Same issues for me.  It's OK, no new wampa = not a huge deal for me to see right this second.

I've been seeing the same issue with Rapidshare even with fanedits that are a couple of years old, meaning they're not exactly a hot download anymore. I think maybe they're just too busy. The download will work...eventually.

I just tried again and it's working. :)

Adywans Empire Strikes Back Revisited - Wampa Ice Cave Colouring (No FX!)

Quick video clip showing the new colouring of the Wampa ice cave, note: no new special effects have been added ie: new Wampa, new lightsaber blade etc! just the new re-positioning of lukes hanging legs and the lightsaber buried in the snow where it fell off Luke's belt! this is ONLY just a sample of the new colouring.

Got the Facebook version to load, I like the pacing you're bringing back.  The leg closeness looks great and is a very welcome change.  Going back to the 1980 soundtrack brings back the lack of lightsaber disengaging sound effect.  What's the plan?  Leave the sound going and the lightsaber on like 1980, have the sound disengage and the lightsaber on like 1997/2004, or have his lightsaber retract and make the disengage sound?

Well the video looks great! My guess is that this the new edit of the scene minus the new Wampa shots. So any time we get a shot of the SE wampa, it will be replaced by the new one...?

My coworkers are starting to call complaining about internet speed, so I guess this is somehow my fault.  No worries.

Nice clip, Ady! The coloring and detail level looks great. :) Having the leg positions match the feet is great, too. Looks completely natural.

No FX are present in that clip as far as I understand. The clip features an adjustment made to Luke's legs in the cave and color correction.

Ok so I was watching the clip again....do my eyes deceive me? Are some of those last few shots trimmed a bit? Specifically the shot of Luke falling? If i'm right, it probably has to do with the new shots and getting it to sync with the music...?

Anyone care to put up a split screen video?  :D

No, none of the last few shots have been trimmed. I just removed the shot of the Wampa in pain.

But there's a strange glitch on it's front right leg that's always spoiled it a little.  Here's the shot as it currently looks -

 

As it's something that I really hope Adywan will sort out, I asked doubleofive to do a couple of 'mock-ups' showing how it should look without the 'jaggedness' (many thanks 005), and his 2nd one below shows how even a 'basic' touch-up would improve this greatly.

And I don't know if Adywan can do anything about this too, but doubleofive noticed that there also seems to be some detailing missing from the inside of this leg.  If possible, this would be a neat addition, considering how closely we see it.

Looking good so far.. still can't say I care for the extra Wampa footage.  I liked the glimpses of the Wampa as it is approaching per the original, as (at least for me) it added to the suspense that the Wampa was relatively far away and moving to Luke.  With the SE, the Wampa is right there almost eyeballing him, which makes you wonder why it takes so long to rush up on Luke much less where the wailing is coming from if his mouth is full.

And I know it's beating a dead horse (or Taun Taun?) but I can't believe NOTHING can be done with Han's TT, be it a fast eye blink or the eyes looking around a bit, as opposed to simply straight ahead with that dead puppet stare.  At the same time, I know it's easier said than done.  The comparisons 005 put up are still boggling my mind as to how you did 'em...
