Well with my version you get more visible detail, better mood, sense of scale( jungle always wins) and light behavior.

Yet another interesting speculation here vaderios. You sure are imaginative when it comes to playing about with 'lighting' possibilities in your shots, and your latest Cloud City one looks very nice indeed.
One of the things I'm most looking forward to, is to see Adywan's various SKIES/CLOUD improvements for 'ESB:R'....because from what we've been shown so far, they're going to make a huge difference overall. :)
Back to Dagobah -
This particular shot above, was always a favourite of mine in the Dagobah scenes, especially when combined with the magical score that builds at this point. Of course, it's been ruined in the 2004 release due to the dreadful re-colouration....which is a pity, as I was pleased to see the big improvements to the dated and obvious matte 'joins' that were seen in the GOUT, and the fact that a very subtle shadow had been added under the X-Wing too.
The point I want to suggest, is that I reckon the 're-colouration' on the 2004 version of this particular shot is now SO poor, and dark when compared to how the GOUT's richer colour looked....that I'm sure that when Adywan just 'colour corrects' it to his usual standards, that it will come to life a little more, and look far better than it currently does....and will fit in fine with the OVERALL, atmosperic, 'gloom factor' that the rest of the MIST-shrouded, 'studio-bound' shots generate. The background and 'mist' effect also comes across better in 'motion'.
Your shot looks nice of course, but is it too 'brightly'-lit when seen in the context of the rest of the shots that come before and after it in the movie? I just don't think the whole 'feel' of the other Dagobah shots taken as a whole, allow for so much 'brightness' as you've shown in your 'opened up' example here. I prefer the 'gloomy', densely-packed treeline/root system that seems to make up Dagobah, as shown in the background of the 'wider, more open' views such as this one and when Luke has just crashed.
Hopefully, the eventual 'colour corrected' 2004 shot will end up looking up looking a little 'brighter' than it currently does now....but I reckon your higher 'brightness' level would be jarring, compared to the rest of the very 'misty' feel that is there in all the other shots. Although the look of the 'mist' that is seen in the distance of these 2004 and GOUT shots seem to be different too....the 'mist effects' in both of them have a murky, 'hanging in the air' appearance to them.
So the 'layout' of the 'mist'-shrouded 2004 replacement background still matches well with the 'feel' of the other shots overall, I'd say....but will look even better in it's 'colour corrected' form.
