this movie gave the best speech and brief summary of wat the force is.

"Look at me, judge me by my size do you? And where you

should not, for my ally is the force and a powerful ally it is.

Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us,

combines us. Luminous beings are we not just crude matter.

you must feel the force around you.

through you, through me, the tree, the rock and yes. even

between land and ship."

Greatest speech ever! :)

I always wondered what Lando and vader's original agreement was that would have justified him betraying his friends?

1st change

Give Han to Jabba the Hutt

Leia and the wookie are not to leave the city.

2nd change

Lando is to bring the Princess and the wookie to vader's ship

Did Vader torture Han so that Luke would feel Han's pain through the force and then Luke would come to Bespin?

Where are you Asteroid-Man?  "Grasping at straws" is widely used in Canada and the USA as well.

Asteroid-Man said:

Can't the bombs send out a few light waves to make it look like radar trasmitters of sorts? A reason to them not finding the falcon could be because they're inside a worm.

I like that idea... much more plausible an explanation than carpet bombing an entire asteroid with low yield explosives.  By light waves, were you thinking of something like this?

What would that look like when it hits the ground?  (Assuming we'd see anything at all).

WHAT!? Are you sure we use that in Canada?

And if the radar doesn't work, we can always send me into the field to get them. (Get it? Ha. *Shrugs shoulders*)

"Choice" is the operative word.

Im not releasing the compleded Jedi cover until year X, when the set completes....or, maybe, not if you go by the name Adywan (as i can mix in the paintings...a million parsacs in time from now).

Im going to try a little trick with the second set (EDIT: no the first set in the preview) that im not sure if i can pull off.....as yet.

Looking forward to the others underway RoccondilRinon.

Hey Vaderios, one suggestion - can you post your before and after pics top-to-bottom instead of left-to-right?  Less side scrolling.

Lets see if it works that way :)

i know Ady have rerotoscoped all the lasers but this pic belongs to the lame pic of the week.

Also i find why the shadows dont look realistic on the rocks... they dont have motion blur!

Also ady, im wondering if you going to fix/replace some bad elements..

Like there for example:

The snow speeders in the background are so dark and going so slow. any chance to see them in the real speed?

Also when the flashes appears in the cockpit shots they create some bad bluescreen elements.

-Angel (24 days left )

yes, all these things are being fixed.

First an idea, i know this has to do with Return of the Jedi, but also with Empire Strikes Back, and is easier to change in Empire.

This shot was added for the special edition and appears on Empire when Lando is warning the city to evacuate, and in Jedi at the ending celebration. Since in Return of the Jedi it is a pan shot, with crowd cheering, i guess its easier to change it (or substitute it) on ESB (Or tweak it in some way on ROTJ, like changing the sky, i dont know)

i will be changing it in ROTJ:R but only the sky and some foreground elements. Its just pure laziness that they had both shots during sunset. ROTJ:R will be more daylight.

Maybe you could just replace the mountains and/or the AT-ATs, since those would be relatively more stationary than the ground itself.  Even if you didn't "replace" the AT-ATs with new model shots (or from different scenes) could the images of the AT-ATs themselves be worked a bit to appear less faded?

this is what's impossible about it. There are no definite points to track to add anything to the background. the camera is moving all over the place .the only way to fix these shots would be for all outside cockpit elements to be brand new. i would need a lot more space than i have available to create a new snow floor to film.

I've previously only posted on the Prequel Radical Redux Ideas Thread (there's a mouthful) as I've been confident that anything Adywan does with the OT will be for the better, but I feel compelled to post here just to tell you that this project is looking excellent! I wish I could contribute in some way in terms of ideas, but it would be quite superfluous. Empire is in capable hands indeed.

Also, Ady. In regards to your Falcon model kit going missing (glad to hear you've had a replacement by the way), and Paypal finding in favour of the seller, I've always been under the impression that Paypal seller protection requires that the seller provide not just proof that the item has been posted, but that delivery also be confirmed (via the item being signed for).

If this is true, and Paypal have made an unjustified decision in closing your claim (as they OFTEN do - I deal with them a lot), you may be able to claim the money back. Contact trading standards.

EDIT:

https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Marketing/securitycenter/sell/SellerPPOverview-outside

Copied from Paypal's seller protection policy:

"4. For items with a value of £150 or more, you need to provide proof of signature from the recipient if the buyer claims that the item did not arrive."

They can't argue with that. From my experience, Paypal are the most unscrupulous company I've ever dealt with, and they probably found it in the seller's favour on the offchance that you wouldn't contest it. Contact trading standards.

Hey Ady. If you get your money back thanks to me, can I be in your credits as 'Financial Advisor'? Haha jk! Please don't click ignore :P

thanks for the advise. The thing is that thanks to our postal system the seller was 100% covered with what he did. You can request a signature upon delivery without having to pay for the insurance. now because the post office have lost it Paypal (and any other company for that matter) and it wasn't insured the most they will offer is £30. the seller is covered along with paypal.  you see , the thing with that Paypal clause you posted , is that this only covers when a buyer claims that he hasn't received an item but the seller is saying that he sent it and he has proof that the buyer has received it.  I spoke to my brothers friend who is a solicitor this weekend and he has had a look over it and he has said that it is indeed the post office that are liable and paypal don't have to cover anything in this case. If he had paid for the insurance then i would get all the money back, but he didn't so i'm screwed.

Are we still bothering with the executor idea?..

Anyways i ve made a gif to show how the scene can be more interesting.

Imagine it slower and with ties. Ady can do it better than me ;)

I also think a focal distance game with the camera focus on ties and blur the close rocks.

Plus i could have add more layer rocks to give more depth, but just to get the idea

Also the painting over the rocks seem to be a bit wrong in some places. Like here f.e.

The light is reflected to the wrong rocks

-Angel

i'm going to be building a new set for that shot because you can tell its a painting and it doesn't match the miniature set. i will be enhancing the bomb blasts but i haven't decided what route i'm going to go down yet.

i never really cared much. i just assumed they were trying to flush them out and not destroy them.

u know, that's the only time we see tie bombers, any chance will be seeing more in ROTJ:R ady? i know that they do shoot concussion missles.

well i'm thinking of building a TIE Bomber because i want to see them in ROTJ:R bombing the shit out of the rebel cruisers

fredstar, that pics looks so much better now. i agree with what's been said about the ships in the top corner. if you could  remove them then it think you've got it nailed.

I've been Canadian for 31 years and didn't have to look it up. ;) Don't worry about it. Haha. "Grasping at straws" (or "clutching at straws") is quite common, but it's just something that doesn't come up much in normal conversation.

Apparently it was simply "Let me chill here, keep your friends unharmed for a bit, and I'll capture some shmoe you've never met, and then I'll leave you be. We cool, we cool."

Did Vader torture Han so that Luke would feel Han's pain through the force and then Luke would come to Bespin?

 That was always my impression.

Stuff like this really gets me angry. Paypal advertises itself as "the safe, easy way to pay" but it is anything but. They rip off both buyers and sellers on a regular basis.

It clearly states that the seller is only covered by Paypal if he gets a signature. By covering the seller when there is no signature, and he's merely requested one, they are in breach of their own rules. Whether the package going missing is the post office's fault or not is irrelevant. It's a seperate entity, and not insuring a package has ALWAYS been at consequence to the seller. NEVER the buyer (who has no say in it). You should have your full refund and he should have his measly £30 compensation. That is how things have always worked!

In my experience, if a seller cannot provide door to door tracking, the case is always found in favour of the buyer.

On ebay (I'm assuming you bought on ebay), you will have noticed on the right hand side there's a box that says "you are covered by paypal buyer protection up to £500". This, in your case, would be an outright lie.

I would strongly urge you to at least try with trading standards (I'd even be happy to do some chasing on your behalf). Just go to them with the following info. Along with the relevant paypal transaction ids etc:

The auction was covered by Paypal Buyer Protection.
The item did not arrive.
No tracking info provided. No signature indicating item arrived.
Paypal still found in favour of the seller.
You're out £200.

Seriously. Unless there have been some major changes in how paypal works recently, protecting the seller has always hinged upon them taking the proper precautions in sending an item. No signature, and the buyer wins the case. It is then up to the seller to recoup his losses from the post office. No insurance, then that's the seller's problem for not taking the proper precautions. That's how it's always been for me, and I've dealt with them MANY times.

Interesting post about Paypal, brash_stryker. Sometimes it works out great. A friend of mine bought a guitar and when he received it, it was not in great shape. Lots of flaws and damage that was not shown in pictures and the description mentioned nothing about. In the end, my friend not only got all his money back, but got to keep the guitar because the seller wasn't responding or something. Ha!

They're just crooks. They promise both parties that they're protected (but this is of course impossible).

It's pointless trying to reason with Paypal directly too, because their customer service is just as appalling as ebay's. All you'll ever get is copied and pasted responses not addressing your questions.

Trading Standards FTW!
