I think it would be cool that if in the scenes where Luke arrives on Bespin, we see more of a hint that it is almost sunset/dusk.
I think it would be very nice visually to look at. I never understood how it went from bright light like these pictures to dark sunset five minutes later.

That sort of defeats the argument. Complaining about something needing removed because it reminds one of something else, look at cloud City, it looks like one of those spinning tops.

True, but I think part of the reason we're all here is to offer advice, opinions, alternate viewpoints and just bounce ideas off of each other to get to the best possible version of a particular fix for him to implement. I'm sure there have been, and will be, comments and photo mockups that make him think twice every now and then about what direction to go with a given change.

I has been posted earlier that the whole point of cloud city being so "in the clouds" clean, pristine and nice was a metaphor for something that is nice on the outside but hides all the evil on the inside/lower levels (carbon freezong chamber, places where duel scenes take place). That being said, we could stick with the cloud city exteriors as they are, not with moody clouds. In ROTS the cloud formations strike a different metaphor: "everything around in the republic is turning dark" hence the dark skies near Jedi Temple, Senate and the like....it's just about different visual metaphors

vaderios - interesting composite of Cloud City, but I find the clouds much too stormy/dark (I get the metaphor, just think it doesn't fit in with the visual look of Bespin from what we've seen in other shots). I think a simple sunset/twilight shot would be more suitable:

Oh yes, i ve got what you mean. But the time in that scene is around afternoon/sunset. Besides we see all the time orange orange orange to bespin, so a bit variation is good to be there.

It might be nice to actually see the sun in this shot going by the amount of light it hasn't sunk yet.

Watching oh_riginal's (interesting) video, it reminded me something that bugged me with the DVD, yet I'm not too sure about it: I believe that in the DVD version the musical cue has been moved a bit earlier compared with the SE VHS or OUT version.
On the DVD, when Han says "Detach!", the music begins (see pic below).
But in my mind the piece had always begun a bit later, during the following shot (see pic below).
I don't know whether I'm hallucinating or not, so has anyone noticed that?
