Its like Michael Bay. "Quick Quick, Build Optimus prime, I want to sell it to E-bay after the movie!

Hopefully Ady will put something to E-bay after the Revisited saga.

i wonder if he could get away with exclusively revisited merchandise, that doesn't feature anything that clashes with lucas copyright, like mugs with original designs of spacecraft or mattes. this wouldn't be profiteering, as oppose to creatively fund raising for wookie suits and superlaser components.

If Stacey from Pink Five can make it into the EU (and presumably be made into an action figure somewhere down the line) maybe Adywan's additions will eventually gain universal acceptance and add to the huge pile of plastic bits that future archaeologists won't have a clue ever existed once humanity wipes itself out and the cockroaches start wearing fedoras and waving whips about.

That's actually After Effects CS4 if I'm not mistaken (I'm using it right now to finish a school project)

I was referring the one that is minimized ;)

Seriously?  I can't read a damn thing on that taskbar ... impressive ...

have you ever considered doing ROTJ:R last though? so at the end of the entire project, the final chapter, ie ROTJ:R would benefit from all the experience you would have gathered?

AAAH!! NO!!  I don't know what I'd do ... I'd have OT withdrawal while sitting through 6 years of PT Revisiteds!

Not that I'm not looking forward to those, but as I don't really feel any form of prequel trilogy is entirely necessary, I'd much rather have the original trilogy sitting on my shelf looking nice long before Ady starts work on the PT.

In fact, I'd suggest he take a nice, long break after ROTJ:R before diving into the PT.  A nice breather between trilogies.

Very cool. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what results for the battle in ROTJ.

And BSG is frakking amazing. 'Nuff said.

The only problem I can foresee is that as Ady's skills improve by the time we get to see ROTS:R it will look so amazing that he will have to begin again from scratch with ANH:R:R (by which time we will be watching everything in 8D).

It will however be a great way of becoming a one man Hollywood studio.

By the end of the Revisted cycle Adywan Prods will be able to tell just about any story (not just Episodes VII through to IX).

yeh, ROTJ:R needs to be done before i tackle the PT because i need as much practice at new FX skills as possible to tackle those films and ROTJ will be a great stepping stone to get those skills. I'm hoping to replace some of the obvious CG backgrounds, eg the jedi temple, with physical models

wow so hopefully the prequels won't look like videogames anymore!

Indeed...there are parts in Ep I that do seem like today's videogames....shame...ROTS didn't suffer from that though.....AOTC I dunno.....I remember listening/reading that Coruscant low-levels was supposed to be more "dirty" than the city in Blade Runner, if you watch them side by side I would say GL failed at that, Coruscant low-levels looks and FEELS like an amusement park...no "Ridley Scott lightining", it's all squeaky clean like someone said before, no "used universe" feeling....I mean c'mon George, couldn't you be a little more self-critic? ok, sorry about the PT-rant, but I had to get that out of my system.

ESB:R - I know by now it's probably too late, but how about some animations in the rebel monitors back in Hoth? ala ANH:R so they they show some sort of action? thoughts?

"For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times... before the Empire." - Obi-Wan Kenobi, ANH

"Now the Jedi are all but extinct" - Obi-Wan Kenobi, ANH

"I hate old times" - Batman to John Stewart, A Better World

What could be cool (though unnecessary to add, admittingly) would be to see the monitor in the Falcon's cockpit when Han and Leia are figuring out where to go, as they eventually decide on Bespin as their destination.

A good reference for what the image might look like would be when Obi Wan was looking at the monitor on Amidala's ship in TPM, when he pointed out Tatooine was close enough to travel to without lightspeed.

But yeah, this wouldn't be a necessary change, but could be cool if done right. Just saying.

You can't replace a whole skyline reaching miles with a model!

Not to get off topic, but Ady, how long do you anticipate it taking to do everything you want to do for ROTJ:R?  All that stuff you mentioned a few posts ago sounds like a massive undertaking, to say the least.

I don't know. That moment and when Luke's Xwing leave Dagobah and the camera stays on Yoda are perfect examples as to why ESB is the best... the film focuses on the subtlety of an actors performance instead of some special effect.

I'm on about the interior of the temple with mace, Obi-Wan and yoda. the exteriors look fine but the interiors sometimes look terrible. you really don't like anything done to the PT do you. lol

Just make sure what you're replacing is really CG and not a model, you might be surprised what was a model and what wasn't. More physical models were built for each prequel than the entire OT combined. Check out the "Sculpting a Galaxy" book.

Well I definitely wouldn't want to change the Yoda moment. But just a slight bit of intercutting of the monitor and Han and Leia looking upon it could be cool. But as I already said, its not necessary. Just something I thought of earlier.

i have the "sculpting a galaxy" book and its actually pretty easy to spot when a miniature was used and when a CG background was used without even looking in that book. the jedi temple scene being one of them

a lot of the problems with the PT looking like a video game is the colouring, which i will be sorting out

Yeah but I am talking about the scenes where I have seen people complaining about it being CG when I know it was a model. Like Kenobi walking to the Youngling training room, etc.

Don't worry i do a lot of research when doing these edits so i'll only be replacing shots that need to be changed or if i have changed the action to a different place which would need a different backdrop.

but all this is about 3 years away yet before i even get to the PT
