It's "Gaff" from Blade Runner, yes. Also played "Bill Adama" in Battlestar Galactica (2003). We should totally insert him into RotJ as an A-wing pilot. That would be the most awesome thing ever.

aaahhh, frakking hell of course! i liked that idea from the SOTDS thread of adding bits from other films to either vhange the period of bulk up the footage. i dont now how advanced adywan studios will be by ROTJ:R, but it would be great to see more alien pilots.
am i right in assuming that all the rebels in ESB are merely just one group of rebels, including the fleet at the end? one big PT/OT divide is the alien variation. we only ever see aliens in bars in the OT mainly, and one would assume that the rebellion would be full of them!

Yeah, I thought the fleet in Jedi is the same fleet as the one in Empire, but with the addition of some alien help. Isn't that the point, that "our" rebels have teamed up with alien rebels?

im kinda off topic, so ill post it in the other thread too
yeah, there were aliens in jedi, but not far beyond nien numb and ackbars lot. id like to see aliens in starfigters, and eventhough it is too late, snowspeeders, as soldiers, maybe a couple on endor in the strike force. (i know there are the eyepatch guys, but you hardly see them.
i dont know what ady plans to do with PT aliens, but maybe some muuns, neimodians and other newly introduced ones just to tie the trilogys together more?

I actually don't feel it's neccesary to add PT aliens to OT just because when you're faced with an additional SW movie, you like to see new aliens. You don't need Ewoks in every movie (preferably none of them)... I was even bored when the Tusken Raiders were shooting at pod racers.... By not having the same aliens in every movie you get variety,and the galaxy feels much larger. Just my opinion though. =)

Exactly, there are some aliens we see in each SW movie that we didn't see in other movies. It would be like added Ugnaughts to ANH, ROTJ or the prequels.

true, thats a good point. there was a distinct difference between how the aliens behaved in both trilogies though, purely down to CG though. im guessing modernising the OT, and retrofying the PT would allow them to meet in the middle somewhere visually.

I've always thought that we only see a small section of the Rebel alliance in ESB & ANH and that we don't get to see the full scale of the Rebellion until ROTJ. My new ending of ROTJ will have a larger fleet attacking the Death Star, including a few more pilots but also it will tie up the question why there are so many celebrations around the galaxy so quickly after the Emperors death when there would be such a large Imperial presence left in the Galaxy. But you'll have to wait for this because i'm not giving up any hints of the ending until ROTJ:R is released. I want the battle to put the opening ROTS one to shame for scale. that alone is going to cost me a fortune to pull off because i need to build new models and a few full size cockpit sets as well as a few creatures and costumes

and buy a new house im guessing to store it all?:p i cant wait for ROTJ:R now! have you ever considered doing ROTJ:R last though? so at the end of the entire project, the final chapter, ie ROTJ:R would benefit from all the experience you would have gathered?
i can imagine that the PT edits will be a completely different kettle of mynocks. but i can also imagine that ROTJ will also require some tougher editting like some of the PT...
