Heh, don't get me started on Return of the Jedi. Apparantly everyone was either a captain or a commander in that movie. Hey, maybe that's the Empire's way of cutting down on spending, only making one type of badge for everyone ;=)

Hey, Adi. Just went to page one to check the screenshots, great job so far !

I remember a while ago you mentioned you were not too happy with the music playing when Han rides his tauntaun into Echo Base (for a good reason since it's an Imperial theme). Have you found any replacement for that yet? Cause I was recently listening to ESB'S OST and I heard something that seems correct and that is actually not in the movie. It's in the 4th track of the first CD (The Imperial Probe/Aboard the Executor) around 00:54.

Any plans to replace the content of this window below?

-pic

And also there appears to be a window they pass in the shots below just before going into the dining room, will anything be done with this one? It's seems out of place because it seems the dining area is too close to it in the configuration of the sets.

-pics

And here once they are in the dining room is another partial window.

-pics-

I agree with that!

But if Bobba is still around (and his voice was changed) then the Stormtroopers should still have Jangas voice no?

Clone troopers aged at double rate, Boba at single rate.

According to PT canon, the Kaminoan cloners kept Jango - the original - around so that they could copy his genetic makeup when they needed to.

With Jango dead and Boba obviously keeping his distance from the Republic, they can not do this any more.

The cloners need someone else for their template, or the stormtroopers are recruits like in much of the EU.

One thing that annoys me is in the SE is that when Han & Leia are walking into the trap of the waiting Vader, we have the new SFX that shows a better view of Cloudy City and a lift.  But in the next shot we have the original browny white background again.

Dude, you really need to read all the previous posts. All the points you keep bringing up have been answered one way or another!!

And for the love of god, change your sig. It's more tha just one person asking now!

Im sorry if it has been brought up before but Im not going through nearly 300 pages of posts to see if possibly my thought has been brought up. Im sure you can understand this. A simple, "It will be taken care of," or whatever isnt that hard Im sure. Most people have been kind enough to quickly answer my query. Thanx.

As for the sig. I hadnt had a chance to change it cuz I was asleep but I dont see what the big deal was really. Its not hard to tell the diff between a cover of a book as a sig and someones mock up of TESB. Have you ever seena anything remote to my previous sig in Empire? I hadnt. Anyway Im not here for dramas. Lets get back to what we're here for.

Cool thanx for that info. That makes sense. I appreciate that.

Hey the new shot of one handed Luke looks great! I never would've thought you could minimize the lump! :)

There is also a shot of Luke after he first climbs up on the vane outside and under cloud city where it looks as if you can see his knuckles in his sleeve, I am not sure it is actually his knuckles but it kind of looks like it!

On the Canadian theatrical version SE there was a shot in the Hoth command center of a white C3-PO which was later removed. Ive never seen this. Is it available online or anywhere for that matter and if it is, is it worth considering adding it?

That shot is and has always been in every version of the movie, if I'm not mistaken.  Note that I haven't watched the SE or 04 SE since, well, probably 2004.

Ady, Where this building/Wall is in the next shots?

oops. thats one of the old shots. I've updated the screenshots on page 1with the correct image

Been busy for a few days Adywan, but I've just seen your updated first page, and wanted to say a big thanks for amending the 'duel on the gantry' shot to show the 'rocket-shaped' section / 'circular' piece at the end of the gantry matching the full-size prop positioning now!  Very nice work indeed.  :)

And putting aside how splendid your Bespin City backdrops have turned out, I also wanted to say that your new Millennium Falcon 'panel detailing' in general, and 'cockpit windows' in particular (seen in the top shot above), are terrific, compared to the SE comparison shot on page 1.  I'm looking forward to seeing your skies / lighting on the later platform shot where Lando and co. run towards the Falcon, which has pools of 'underlighting' shining down beneath it.

Going back to the Falcon's 'cockpit windows'....I hope that the equally suspect original cockpit area shown in the other Falcon shot on page 1 (seen in the bottom shot above), will be amended to match your new one too, though.

Wow.....I notice that with the color corrections the Executor bridge now looks more like the Star destoyer bridge we see at the end of RoTs.

I'm loving all the new screen shots added again Ady.

Maybe the only thing I'd think about is adding a bit more of a hint of orange to the floor we see Leia, Lando and Chewie running on. Not as much as the SE added but a hint of it?

Perhaps a bit of subtle orange reflecting on the outer right wall as well to help it blend in better?

Also don't know it it's possible but maybe a hint of orange to Leia, Lando and Chewie as well which isn't present mainly because originally it was simply an inside shot.

Or maybe they could be a little darker considering the lighting under those circumstances? Not silhouettes per say though.

........

new quickie mock up...........

Just to clarify DI, the white droid is there behind the female Rebel operator, in a couple of shots before the ION Cannon fires, and is featured in the GOUT as well as the SE versions.

It's even whiter now thanks to Adywan -  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UN8YIR60Ij0&feature=channel

Thanx for that but the scene Im talking about is a shot inside the command centre and focusses on the white C-3PO using a penlight on a glass map. Then, the movie continues as normal and Han is shown entering the command centre. This scene was not present on the video release.

Or maybe they just got tired of Vader going through officers like Kleenex, and figured, hey, at this rate they'll ALL be promoted to captain eventually, so why bother with the other rank insignia? ;)

You mean this guy?

This is the scene just after Han enters, and just before he starts talking to General Reiken.  Are you saying you remember seeing a shot of this droid before this (i.e., before Han enters the command centre)?  If so, I'll check my VHS tape from the 80s... if any of the original releases had such a shot, I imagine this one would.

Yes its just before Han enters the command center. It was shown on the 1997 theatrical release but removed on the VHS release.

That should make it rather difficult to verify then, not to mention impossible for a forum member to possess the footage.
