I really like the rocket effect, it really adds to the impression that there are many variations of weapons being used.

I played with CS4 for a few days. I think I'll stick with CS3 for a while.

well, how would ice react when put into contact with something as hot as a lightsaber? I think some ice falling would help, but I am sure some would also turn to a gas, and this could create a little cloud.
i was going to mention the ice thing, im surprised he doesnt cut his ankles off!

Same here. I love CS3, but I tried CS4 briefly and found it a little...off.
I haven't noticed many changes other than the tabbed windows. Then again, I only use CS4 in my Motion Graphics class, so I've hardly had time to go through it in detail.
i hate to be off topic, but in PHOTOSHOP CS4 is it possible to edit batches of layers, ie apply image adjustments and effects on groups of layers, as oppose to having to run them individually?

PS Cs4 could have a lot of improvements. Still is too unstable , laggy and dificult to use with all that tab shit ans animated crap.
Plus i hate when you navigate the canvas is overlapping the tool panels.
Cs3 to the death.

Ok here:
Fixed saber errors.
I add a stalagmite to give a little depth to saber cut.
The stalagmite is cutted and falls.
Saber cast a light on the snow.
Stalagmite falls into the snow.
Added steam to saber's touch with the snow.

Some very nice touches to do with the lightsaber there vaderios. I really liked this particular brief shot of the Wampa that was added for the SE versions, and I'm hoping that it's kept for Adywan's sequence.
However, although it's claws are correctly black, I'd like to see the 'fleshy/pinkish' colour added to the 'palm' of the paw by Adywan, rather than the black colouring currently shown on the SE version.
Wow.....glad to read AdY that you may be looking at making the falcon appear thicker in the shots of it entering cloud city as I suggested a while ago.

I'm loving flipping through these pages and seeing the attention you guys are paying to detail and all the cool mock ups.
Someone also mentioned using some lines from the radio drama...........that could be interesting too. Just wondering what if anything Ady might use though?
Lastly, any thoughts on possibly making some of the animal life on Dagobah a bit more "alien"? Even if only by doing some subtle color differences or exaggerated features?
On a related note - I'm sure you guys have seen these Ralph McQuarrie pics but they are new to me.....imagine getting a glimpse of something like this.......(Just an idea since I read a few pages back that Ady may be doing some model work and making a Wampa)
I know how Ady wants the things remain hidden and not all revealing in dagobah.
I like his approach.
Still i enhance slightly the matte so it not look like a painted wall. + a more bright light so the eye locate more easy the fallen X wing
Plus i made dagobah planet more green (from deleted scene from ROTS), so is not looking like Hoth.
We see an indication of green after luke departs from dagobah and going to cloud city, so why not.
Last when the X-wing enters the atmosphere of dagobah i slight open the fog to have some more depth. nothing fancy.(also taken from ROTS deleted scene).

Id love to see an alien egg from ALIEN movie as an easter egg!
Wow, I really like that Dagobah stuff, and I really would like to see more Alien creatures on Dagobah. I believe the EPIII deleted scenes had some great creatures in it that gave it a somewhat spooky atmosphere. How about trying to take a stab at incorporating some of those Vaderios.

Notice how bright is the light in the reflection...
IF this planet doesn't sees sun then the lights on the reflections should be more tone down.

Wow angel this image gives dagobah a bit more depth. Alot of people complain alot about windows being opened up in bespin and so on and so forth but i always felt that the OT always felt a bit claustrophobic in some indoor scenes and this picture makes dagobah more real than just an image of fog from fog machines lol. Liking the pics keep up the good work.
