Just saw this on Wookieepedia...

Many fans claim to have seen a duplicate Millennium Falcon in Episode Five The Empire Strikes Back. During the chase through the asteroid field, in a shot from the Falcon's cockpit, you see the Millennium Falcon flying in the distance.

Is this true?  Where is it, which shot?

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

If I remember correctly in the SE DVD the consistency of the millennium falcon when entering cloud city is off. The falcon is thinner in the the new CG shots and thicker in the old shots. I think this is most obvious when it lands on the platform.

Once the ship has docked it's back to it's usual thickness.

Something to look at AdY?

I found some transparency issues while the Falcon is being chased by Star Destroyers.  That's just ridiculous.

I'd forgotten about this one.  I seem to remember thinking that too, when I saw the new SE footage where it's being escorted by the 'twin-pods' towards the landing platform.  The new MF looked a bit 'flattened' in that shot, for some reason.

And you're right about the 'transparency' issues throughout this thing doubleofive, some of it seems very evident at times.  Were now beginning to 'see through' a lot of the work that was done by LFL for these 2004 SEs, I think.  ;)    I've got all your latest shots through now, thanks.

I just though it was the angles of the falcon, and I love those cloud city fly through shots.

George does have a wonky view of romance.

The scenes between little (not yet orphan) Annie and Padme in "The Phantom Menace" make for very difficult viewing.

You know, that's what I thought too, when Natalie Portman (who was like, what, in her late 20's) looked behind her and smiled with that high school crush smile AT AN 8 YEAR OLD KID!  Okay, maybe he was 12, but still.... YIKES!

And Ady, sorry if my panties were in a bunch, but I just want this to be as good as it could be.  The whole temp track went right over my head (it's the weed, I swear!).  I will swear right now that I will only bring up something 3 times and leave it at that... unless it's green AT-AT lasers.

ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE:
Ady: you may want to go back to Page 1 and update the Edit List.

And while the spamming is fun, Mr. Thumb is right - we need to control the spamming to make it easier for Ady to sift through the suggestions.

And Ripplin: I counter your cannon with my cannon:

Natalie Portman is in her late twenties now. She was 16 or 17 when they started filming.

Still, those scenes are awkward.

Jake was 9 & Natalie was had just turned 16 a month or so before filming those scenes in TPM, and there was nothing sexual about them, so I don't get what the problem is. The two don't hook up until 10 years later. Geez.

Well, it's that we know they're supposed to "hook up", so when 16 year-old Natalie (really?  She was that young?) turned around for no reason other than to smile at 8-year-old Jake What's-is'face (who if I recall almost did a Quagmire wink right back at her), yeeeah it was kinda creepy knowing that that 8-year-old kid was going to get into Natalie's pants in the near future.

This is interesting because usually it's the other way around.... you know, a 40-year-old Harrison Ford getting into a 21-year-old Carrie Fischer (have any of you watched BUILDING EMPIRE yet?  When they're talking about filming the Hoth scenes and how Carrie Fischer didn't have to be there yet still came anyways, I found that to be somewhat funny... as well as the "unscripted arguments" stuff.  I don't know what is STAR WARS canon or not, but I know one thing is for sure: Princess Leia was definitely following Han Solo's canon, if you know what I mean... nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more).

ohhhh boy... I just got it... little orphan Annie?  Did Lucas slip in one of his stupid '30's homage jokes?

Wrong...lol

I myself find it hard to belive that "Anni" thought about her for 10 years. What did he do in his free time lol. I think Trooperman SOTDS Did something about this.

This really belongs in another thread though, lets get back on topic, hmmm, where were we? lol

"eeeah it was kinda creepy knowing that that 8-year-old kid was going to get into Natalie's pants in the near future."

Yeah it would be creepy if he did it when he was 8 but he did NOT, hell...it's creepy knowing my wife was 9 when I was 18.

How about checking out the actors ages when filming before assuming them. It's not that hard, there are plenty of internet sources, imdb.com.

How is that any creepier than as bro and sis almost hooking up? Which actually did smooch by the way, not just have puppy crush looks that nothing came of until 10 years later. I never got the impression that Padme ever thought of Anakin as more than a little boy in TPM. Smiling doesn't equal pedophilia, if so arrest over half the world.

What do you have against a 10 year age difference? I am 9 years older than my wife, so I guess I disgust you. My Grandpa was almost 11 years older than Grandma.

Harrison Ford was 37 while filming ESB.

In a word, CHILL.  This is more about EMPIRE than yourself, but just so you know:

(1) I'm 38 and I go out with 20 year olds.
(2) everyone agrees the whole "Luke and Leia" thing is kinda creepy (if you take the bro and sis thing as legit)
(3) look at my friggin avatar.  About 99% of what I write is sarcasm.
(4) Tony Randall is my hero; he married a 27-year-old when he was 75 (his money must be quite attractive).

Now I think this subject has worn itself out quite nicely, please let us get back to making suggestions.

Green AT-AT lasers anyone?

holy god! lets not go back into that again! lol. on the luke leia deal, i say to keep the bro sister storyline.

however, there's gotta be a way to get rid of that kissing scene. i'm sure luke was freaking out in his head

when he realized he frenched his sister. reading the novelizations of the three, there is no hint of romance

between luke and leia.

If people are suggesting trimming any of the Luke/Leia scenes because of the incest near miss angle of that part of the saga, I for one am against it for the reasons I posted some time back.

They were seperated near birth so they don't know what they are doing (in a Greek theatre sense) and this sort of thing does happen in real life, (http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/2003/may/17/weekend7.weekend2)it doesn't conflict with the Star Wars fantasy realm and they don't actual do the deed so it doesn't suddenly transform the saga from being fun for all the family to being FUN for all the family.

Having had a proper look at those 'approach' shots again Sevb32, I do now agree that it just seems to be the 'angles' that we see of the CGI Falcon, and that it is actually fine.  Strange, how I seemed to remember a 'flattened' look originally, but I guess that's the CGI effect in some way.  I happen to like those particular additional shots too.

....so it doesn't suddenly transform the saga from being fun for all the family to being FUN for all the family. - Bingowings.  Nice.  :)

I'm going to make another bold suggestion:

COMPLETELY REMOVE ANY mention of Leia and Luke being related.  It was ONLY added in to try and "top" the Luke/Vader reveal in ESB, and just screwed up the way things had been going up to that point.  It just smacks of being thrown in at the last minute.

I know no one will agree with me, but that's my opinion.

Hey Ady I was wondering if we're still gonna get a comparison copy of the yoda tweaks? I showed a friend the one we have now and he couldn't tell what was different. Keep up the awesome work. =)

Some posts ago Ady said that he wanted some matte painitings for Bespin platforms.

I think I can help if you show some pictures/screenshots of what specific shot you want.

1 thing though, at 25 seconds into the movie alot of rebel snow troopers run from 1 side of the trench to another..and in the back you can see a destroyed Cannon or something and black smoke o.0
