i'm not sure but the stardestroyer engines in ESB don't have the blue glow they have in ANH and have a orange glow now too, so i guess it was intentional.

they will be blue for revisited but they won't be changed for the 1080p ESB AVCHD because thats how they appeared theatrically

Wow, I didn't know Rebel Transport ships were purple! :p An now they're not. ;)

One thing that stands out to me with the color corrections is that the detail around lights and such gets sharper. Looks nice, Ady.

Looking very cool Master Ady! Though the sabers in those first shots still look skinny a la SE 97/2004. Will you beef them up a bit?

Did you say earlier in the thread that the reflections would be fixed in the "running to catch Han" scenes with the really small balcony outside? You could also raise the height of the balcony maybe to make it look like they wouldnt tumble over!

And yes bingo I think you're right, was a ring modulator! I had a mynocks suckin on my power cables (aka Fruit Bats) outside my window - noisy buggers!

So if you don't mind, what are your plans for the Battle of Hoth?

i'll be re-rotoscoping all the sabers in revisited to give a more uniform width (they're all over the place at the moment, from skinny to fat)

And yes, that balcony shot will be getting a complete overhaul

Yes, that'll be nice, but I think they look way better in motion, too. When I saw the repainted lasers and sabers in screenshots for ANH:R, I was a little...undecided on them. When I saw them in motion, though, they looked very nice!

Well the first colour pass is now complete. And the final colour pass is about 20% finished. The Hoth battle is a nightmare to try and remove the blue tint yet keep the blue skys. lots of masking to do  so that's going to take weeks alone to do, so still a way off before i get to the FX work.

Thanks for the update, sorry about the color, and now, of to High school I go.

I've always preferred the word "crisps" to "chips." Even though I'm from the U.S., for some reason crisps sound so much tastier. One of those weird word preferences, I guess.

It's funny, my boss was born in England, but has been in Canada since he was 8, so he's nearly 100% Canadian by now and has been for decades, but every once in a while, he'll use some term like 'packet of crisps' and I think 'not a bag of chips?!' Haha.

Yep, Chips are definitely things you have with Fish, and Crisps are best found in a noisy bag!

Unless you have chip sticks (salt & vinegar flavour, my fave btw) then it becomes very confusing for you Yankee doodles over the pond.
