For anyone who'd like to see some original blooper clips from Star Wars:

They all had me laughing, such great fun XD
Maybe Ady would be interested in including this as a bonus feature for the ANH:R HD? ;)
Do you even look at the rest of the forum?
Can I get a MySpleen invite?
Why doesn't Harmy's A New Hope have the episode number??
No

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Is ESB:R done yet?

I have not seen it but that was how the original film was released so I guess that was the idea to keep it as close to it's original release as possible.
Star wars with its 1981 re-release it had the subtitle Episode IV: A New Hope added to remain consistent with its sequel, and to establish it as the middle chapter of a continuing saga before Empire strikes Back with the episode number and also called "A New Hope" otherwise originally It was just called...
STAR WARS
none of the OT films were advertised with any mention of episode numbers only by it's episode name title. And referred to as the next chapter.
And STAR WARS has always been known as STAR WARS rather than a new hope. It always felt a bit tacked on.
ESB has always had an episode number though as has ROTJ although they only needed them really because of the other 2 trilogies
The episodic model really kicked in for the PT and more of a big deal was made about it being the missing episodes at this point.
I thought I would add this from the ebook that has been released for interest:
"One really cool video shows the original version of the title card. Originally the STAR WARS logo (in a different design) didn't recede straight backward. Instead it started out in normal orientation, then folded over backwards into the plane of the opening crawl, and then receded, followed immediately by the crawl text."
Now I would love to see that too.
I am gussing it's this one? That was originally folded back before they changed it.
Also after digging about the addition of Episode IV "A New Hope" in the crawl Screws up the planet reveal of tatooine music cue.
It's fixed in ANH:R though

In my opinion, I think that would come off pretty cheesey...

Happy Halloween to Ady and everyone else here!
Been a bit of an explosion of loads of unseen stuff recently
Last video I could find if any sort of compilation of doc footage is planned is a 6 part "Star Wars Music by John Williams"
In the first part we are treated to a view of Hoth Soldiers in the trenches and there is a Hoth Rebel driving a modded Snow Cat Tank.
How come that never made it in the movie I'll never know but anyway link below.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGsbKZnaT8E
modded snow cat at 1:08 and it's a good watch too.
wether this is in the making of book I don't know but it's the first time I have seen this
I guess they were meant to be a fair match for these MTV-7 which also never made it in the film
Anyway my mind just boggles on this at the moment Happy Halloween all
Guys, the episode number thing is a joke playing off the "you don't read the rest of the forum" comment. There's no reason to keep bringing it up.

The episode numbers were on the OT. They began doing it when Star Wars was re-released right before The Empire Strikes Back came out. I was there, I still remember all the WTFs rumbling throughout the theater when Episode 4 came up.
The "Episode IV" title wasn't added until the 1981 re-release, a year after Empire was released.

That is just one of the toys that was released. It wasn't designed for the film:

This is the logo that was used for the original "fold back" crawl. Taken from the original crawl video from the "making of" ebook:
Thanks Ady I found this earlier and I kind of had my answer on this one already...
I have not seen the video but my gut feeling tells me the original unused crawl looked bad...
Simply because they panned out a camera manually and then tilted it so I am wondering about any wobble... But It's a progression from Flash Gordon :)
BTW I mean modded snow cat in making of Book not the MTV-7

^ I had that vehicle but had forgotten it was even from Star Wars last time I saw it in the loft (Plus had Snowtrooper and Hoth Han but neverhad a Tauntaun). If I remember correctly the legs/wheels would bend out so it ran flat across the ground.
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.
Yep I had it too :)
I used to have the Taun Taun with the slit in it's stomach so you could put the action figure in it :)

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
That needs sorting out on the internet as everything seems to claim it was altered prior to Empire Strikes Back or at least nobody says it like you just did. It's never clarified as alteration after an episodic mention in ESB
I remember the WTFs when ESB started with the words 'Star Wars'.

It means, "Way (or Ways) of The Force" as in :
LUKE : There is nothing for me here now I want to learn the WTF and become a Jedi like my father.
or
YODA : It is the way of things the WTF.

I was born after the OT was theatrically released and I remember I believed the Episode IV thing was a nod of how when you watch a Soap Opera or a TV Serial you start watching it whenever you do, not at the begining.
To me it was just as if it started with "Episode 148".
Which amazes me is that this means when I was a kid I already understood this movies were ment to be a reference to old TV Serials.
It felt like how when someone extracts a tale from the Bible it starts with mentioning which chapter it is. It gave it that Epic sense of you are just reading a chapter of something grander.
I never thought there were meant to be another three chapters before it or that it was incomplete. When they announced they were doing Episodes I II and III I thought "Thats smart, they are using the fact that they wrote Episode IV at the begining to write the stories that happened before".

Wouldn't that be WoTF or WOTF?
Also on another note, will there be another trailer or teaser for ESB:R in the future? I'd love to see some of the progress with this project shown in one ultimate trailer/teaser. At the same time though, I can understand the reluctance to show too much in an effort to keep surprises for the official release. :-P

Heh, you beat me to pointing this out I see. When I came across that article and saw the video that was shown at the top, I thought the article was actually going to reference this project!
I wonder how unintentional that clip usage was...
(by the way, after reading the article, it made me realise that I should really stop reading stuff on sites and threads that are related to J.J.'s upcoming movie altogether from now...to keep things as fresh as possible for myself on it's release, unlike where I gobbled everything up for TPM before it came out...)
