Hoom hoom next thing you know we'll have Treebeard on Dagobah (don't be silly)!!! :p

“Did you know, the word ‘gullible’ is not in the dictionary?! Look it up.”

A walking talking humanoid tree-like character wouldn't work in this project but a thing that looks like a tree or a bit of a tree that can move like an animal... why not?

Lots of marine animals look like vegetation, in an alien swamp things that look like plants may act like things that look like animals.

Time

I've always liked the concept of the tree having a mobile animal-like stage in its life cycle. "Our" animals often go through dramatic changes which results in it appearing a different species entirely so this being a galaxy far far away, I don't find it that farfetched that a tree has evolved to have autonomous seeds :)

Anything to make it look less like a place that could exist on our own planet. Dagobah never quite bothered me, not as much as Endor, my friggin backyard looks like Endor.

Dagobah serves it's purpose, Ady's addressed all its problems. Endor is what needs a makeover.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

The walking tree seeds was just EU nonsense.....in McQuarrie's painting they are clearly arachnids or spider-like animals of some sort.

Just watch out for these...

On a serious note, I totally agree. I'm sure AdY will give us a version of Endor that will look incredible.

Or at least a version less backyardish.

While I agree it does 'sound' like EU stuff... IMO McQuarrie's painting heavily suggests a relationship beteen the spiders and the trees, one is white, one is brown but they are the same shape, same size, same texture (Especially the knobly abdomen).

Plus it seems to be laying eggs/seeds around and beneath the trees. I wonder if anybody working on Aliens had this painting in the back of their minds when they made the Queen's egg sack?

Another painting...

Well....it wouldn't be Revisited without some bad luck.....and 2013 had been blessedly free of it so far. Now this bit of news from Ady:

"Well that's just screwed everything up on the Revisited front. Heard back from my insurance company that they WILL NOT be paying out for my damaged camera. After the quote to fix it came too close to the cost of a brand new one they would have replaced it new for old. But they are now saying that the model number on my camera does not match the one they have on their records. They've bloody put it was a Canon 500d and NOT the 550d that i have. I ask for the recording of the phone call when i made the claim and they can't find it. How surprising. They will only replace it for a refurbished 500d as a good will gesture, up to the value of £150, which is bloody useless as you cannot change any of the settings when filming video on that camera so useless for filming the miniatures. Screw you kwikfit insurance. If they had put down the correct model number then i could have used the voucher towards a 650d instead, but now what the hell am i supposed to do? Waste of time having the new for old insurance at the higher premium."

FFS. Makes my recent donation to the project seems totally irrelivent now.

Citizens advise are usually.....useless....but its free.

They can't possibly do that. The burden of proof is on them to prove that you gave them the wrong model number. If they can't prove it they have no leg to stand on. They're trying to use it as a get-out clause, well they can't without proof.

Bit worried now as I've just taken out the house insurance with kwik-fit. I might give them a call and say how they've treated you is making me want to back out of my policy.

They apparently sent Ady some paperwork with the incorrect model number typo on it, and since he didn't correct them on the error BEFORE making a claim they're refusing to pay out.

Also keep in mind that most creatures, specifically insects, tend to evolve according to their surroundings.

Ady: sorry to hear about what happened with the camera.  I don't know if this will help, but there is a guy named Bill Handel who may be able to help.  I would suggest shooting him an email and see if he has any legal advice.

Did Ady acknowledge this paperwork in any way? (or has he since?)

If Ady sent it back to them with a signature, then I understand how they've screwed him.

If, however, there's no actual proof of receipt of said paperwork, or there hasn't been an acknowledgement of receipt of it from Ady, he will win if he contests it via the financial Ombudsman.

Ady if you have the receipt for the camera purchase then that proves they screwed up the insurance details... If you do not have a receipt then this could be difficult.

How different is the serial number to the one supplied... Basically if the serial number is correct then you can prove a match to the model number. the serial will only correspond to your model.... If you never had to supply a serial number then these people are con artists

wwhat type of insurance is it product cover or just home contents as a camera is a portable device their offer could be considered more than reasonable

Correct. I renewed the insurance on my beemer with my same details at the time. I then bought BMW split rim alloys, before i crashed it. Chirchill declared my insurance void, as my details wern't fully intact at the time just a few months later, because of the alloys.

I must have confermed some sort of renewal ship before my expiary date, which i do not remember (i imagine most of us just by-pass that ship no end!).

Hence, I paid, but I was not legally insured....Contested that ship...Screwed!

I signed the insurance form and sent it back, so they have a copy. It was all done during the week i was moving house so i was juggling so much stuff at the time. They didn't ask for the serial number. just the model number as a description of the item, on the form.  It's my fault as i should have checked everything but, at the time, it was a madhouse having purchased the new house, arranging the move, packing and sorting out all the insurance, utilities etc all in the space of less than a week. Looking back i have no idea how we managed to get all that done. So i have no legal standing whatsoever.

Sorry to hear about both the damage to your camera and your insurance company's refusal to cover it. What kind of damage did the camera sustain and what sort of position does it put you in with regard to ESB:R? Did you lose any existing footage when the camera was damaged?

That's really too bad.

The Revisited project has sure been through a lot.
