What im getting at is it really worth all the extra work to you, and i think you've answered that without saying it directly.

Bottom line is that its still the same picture in all 3 resolutions, minus some sharpness in the lesser formats. I would argue that do the textures on a hat, or the texture of snow, or whatever, warrent 1 min of film taking 17 mins to encode, as opposed to lesser time, and giving you slightly more flexibility with any effects shots you do later on.

Its not nessicerally what i believe you should be doing with this, Im just illustrating an objective point of view, thats all.

by the way, i've just downloaded your Ep IV and i want to say that it was GREAT IDEA to add music from e3 to Obi and Wader duel! GREAT IDEA. And extended battle of yavin with yavin in the sky is AMASING!

i got it in the end - just took ages. i don't get how this would fit into ESB tho. They couldn't blast the base from space. Because they needed to send the at-ats down to take down the shields.

it would be nice to see the imperials landing, but its not really becasue ady is avoiding the EU, as much as it makes the ATAT entrance far more dramatic when its like "whats that"...thudd...thudd...

Good - Good ESBR wont just be the iceing on the cake it will be the whole damn bakery ! ESB is still my favorite movie and I dought anything will ever top it in my mind.

This may be controversial, but I'd like to suggest that a particular line of 3PO's in the carbon chamber be removed. The line in question is "Oh, they've encased him in carbonite. He should be very well protected, if he survived the freezing process that is."

This line has always grated on me, because it's so glaringly obvious! It's what everyone up to that point has been discussing! Boba, Vader and Lando established this very firmly in earlier scenes. This piece of pointless explanatory dialogue, for me at least, ruins the mood of an otherwise wonderful moment that still gives me chills.

Interesting suggestion.  Removing the line might increase the tension whether or not if Han survives.

Agreed.  I hate lines like that in movies - the ending of "Batman Begins" was full of them (yes, we KNOW the water mains across the city will blow if the train reaches Wayne Tower ... now why do you have to cut back to the guy saying the same thing 4 different ways?), and while that particular Threepio line never bothered me, now I know it will every time I watch it.

Some of mine:

- Mynock in cave (maybe some small shots)

- Some At-ST at background in Hoth Battle, becausethere only 2 small shots.

- Star Destroyers bombard planet like here ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSSNonaBw-8  ) after destroying sheald.

- Centinels Shutles from E4 leaving hanger and going towards plaet, or something like this. Because there is no scene how Wader and snow trooper apeare on planet... They just entered the door :(

- Dagobah from E3 Deleted scene 

Fjodin -  Thanks for that video clip link featuring some cut-scenes from the 90's X-wing pc game.  I hadn't seen that footage before, and it was interesting to see some of the imagery in that.
