There won't be any money changing hands for this edit. As Fendon said, i am doing this for free.
That's sounds great and all, but the question isn't what you charge, but how much shipping is gonna cost. I live in the States, and I'm concerned that shipping might be too much for my family's meager income. How bad is it? The Weasleys would consider themselves fortunate. That's how bad it is.
One way or the other, though, I'm definitely dying my milk blue when I watch this!

There will be plenty of people State-side who will get this eventually... so shipping will be like a dollar or two. If you're patient and polite, I'm sure you'll be able to get a copy. Just wait a couple of weeks after it's released and then start asking for copy. People here love to help out fellow fans.... usually they pay the shipping out of their own pocket since collecting 2 bucks from paypal isn't worth the effort.

Sounds sweet! And I know I'll want it as good as it can be, so I'll wait to get a DVD through the mail. And I know I can. Besides, it's great to see how nice everyone is. It would be tedious sending 1 or 2 bucks through PayPal for shipping, so I appreciate the thought. Looks like I'm gonna spend quite a bit of time here on originaltrilogy.com.

I am Commander Bane and am new to the forum. I started reading this thread around last week and have tried to read every single page before joining the forum and replying. I can't believe how i've missed this forum for all these years and now am entering late while its almost finished! I managed to read to around page 45 before i gave up and skipped right to the last few pages. To my amazement there are more than 140 pages!! The Force is certainly with your Force-induced work on A New Hope.
I am now joining the Jedi to train in the mysterious arts of the Force. If i discovered this thread before then i certainly would have contributed to the suggestions and advice on your fan edit. But obviously now its nearly finished and so far of all the things that i've read, it certainly is going to exceed my expectations as i've already seen a few of your preview clips.
Finally i am jaw-droppingly amazed at the work that you did on this fan edit and would like to obtain a copy(s) once you've finished. Now i will be really guilty if i don't pay anything for it cos its just not right and would probably tip me a bit more into the dark side. So i want to pay for the finished product - a gesture to appreciate all the hard work that you've done and most important of all...a thank you!

I won't be accepting any payment whatsoever in return for a copy of this edit. i did this purely for fun ( although it did turn into a monster) so i am not looking for any sort of reward for the work i have done. All i hope is that when its finally out there people will enjoy it.

You realize he cannot accept any kind of payment for this work. This is a Fan Edit and fans do these kinds of things for themselves and the Fans without compensation unless there is consent from the owner of the original work. I do believe LucasFilm should hire Ady and move him and his family to California and join the compund since his work of restoration and enhancement far surpasses what they have done. Everyone I have shown the clips to are completely amazed and cannot wait until I get a copy so they can watch as well.
Thanks again Ady for the wonderful job you have done and I am sure speak for all of us............quit replying to the posts and finish that puppy up

Ady, please, so you know how is this "flickering effect" created ? I'm also using CCE and it creates the same error on some of my DVDs, I'm not sure why it happens. I have only noticed that all of the source files by these errors are BFF encoded
