I've just finished the new end credits and everyone that has posted in this thread up until today is now included in the credits, well apart from Remixerboss because he's a dick.
. I've also managed to get hold of a laserdisc player with a demodulator and the SE Laserdisc boxset, so i'm going to attempt to rip the 5.1 audio from that and use it as a basis mix for the audio alongside the 2004 mix & monomix.

A Xmas XVID isn't guaranteed because there is still a lot of work to do, but if it is released it will be the best quality & res i can get it while keeping the filesize down.
All the Xwings in the SE CG shots used the Red 2 model. but in the shots where you see the stripes on Luke's Xwing i have added the extra stripes in the shots that are possible to fix.

If it were for me I would update all displays which shouldn't be to hard to do, and some other electronic devices, as those things look most outdated compared to the PT. When I read the list of changes, I was so happy to see the interrogation probe altered, but when I saw the clip, despite the 'improved' syringe, it still looks outdated, because you have only changed the needle, not the whole syringe. Would this be to hard to do? The really stands out for me - hyperspace, light sabers, and an old-fashioned syringe.
It is just outdated.

It is just outdated. The Interrogation Droid was finished in the clip so i won't be making any more changes to that. As for the displays All the displays have had some tweaking done to them, some have been redone completely and others, such as the TIE & X-Wing displays have just had some colour tweaking done to them and haven't been replaced. The TIE display was used in the Jedi fighter in ROTS so no need to change anything in the ships really.

So all the visual chages are complete? You are now finishing the audio? But don't tell us too much (if you are perhaps still doing some more changes), we (I) like surprises.

Have you considered releasing an xvid as a sort of BETA release. I was thinking that once its complete and you do release it there maybe stuff you might have missed which we could help out with spotting before finally releasing a proper DVD version for our DVD shelves ;-)
If you water-marked it somehow to prevent it being a final version and reduced the quality a bit then we could see the work youve done, feedback any comments to you and then if you wanted you could make any changes based on those comments for a version 2.0 release after Xmas.
I guess it would be like a test screening for a movie and we could help with any issues or glitches you might have missed (not saying there will be any of course!!! sometimes when youve been working on something for so long you can miss something without realising...well thats my experience anyway!!)
Just a thought! Personally I dont mind waiting till the middle of next year.
Keep up the good work, if what youve done so far is anything to go by I doubt there will be a single mistake anyway!!....

Well, I'm never sure how official this is considered, but in the Decipher Collectible Card Game, they released a card for Red 10 that showed him having 5 stripes with a dash through them.
The image isn't amazing, but if you look close enough you can see the ranking on its wings.
As for Red 6-9, although they released cards for them they never showed the stripes, so I guess they will always be a mystery.

That is soooooo cool of you to put us all in the end credits. I posted a couple times on this thread with suggestions and love the work you've done. Can't wait to see the final product. It looks incredible.

I would just like to say, some mind the stripes on the X-wings, I mind the syringe, others mind something else. In the end it's Adywan's edit, so he makes the final decision on the changes. We just make suggestions. But I must say I somehow feel like cheating, because I joined the forum only days ago and now I'm in the credits. It was probably the will of the Force
