JOKES! We do them!
If we all trusted Ady's first posts around here, we'd still think ESBR was in the preproduction stage.

Man, you would think a winky symbol would be clear enough....
Where do you get the DVD-9 version? Mine doesn't have a commentary. Are there any other changes to the film itself?

DVD-5 Changes from the Xvid version:
- Removed the ILM crew member from the droid sale
- Removed the wire and batteries seen up Luke's sleeve in Ben's hut
- Removed the remaining wires from Ben's sleeve during the sabre fight
- Ponda Baba's arm swapped for Dr. Evazan' s arm & hand
- Slight tweak to the TIE approach. The background & camera is no longer static at the beginning & a new Death Star surface
- Fixed the gunport shot during the TIE battle where the gun remains static when Han swings the chair and the gun can clearly be seen over the top of the chair instead of behind it
- Typos in the credits fixed
DVD-9 Changes from the DVD-5:
- Replaced "fixed shot" where gun was added to the Death Star Control Room to prevent a continuity error and erased a gun from the following shot. Now there are three guns on the rack after our heroes leave the droids behind.
- Remixed Vader's voice even further to match the rest of the trilogy.

I wonder if Ady will be adding to the ot.com credits again. I missed my chance for ANH:R.
Rationale - Would create continuity as Empire:R has so many more people in the credits. It makes sense really Ady ;-)
^I, and probably most, hadn't thought of that. Yes, please include me in ANH:R:R as well. Haha! :p
The fact he is doing this in HD proves once again he has been known to change his mind about things, more than once he said he wouldn't be going back to it. Cool!

Wow that's right. New HD version=New Credits. I want to be in the credits, but I'm not exactly sure how I can contribute (unless you want to take suggestions for the new version)...Ah well... hopefully I'll find something to do... .P
The first time around, he pretty much just put the usernames of everyone who had posted in the thread up to a certain date. I came in slightly too late. :p
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Maybe he'll only want the people who supported him when the project was first completed. And that's completely understandable.
I can't deny it would be fantastic seeing my name in the credits through the whole saga though.
Hopefully it wouldn't spark too much of a backlash from the ones who followed the project from the start and they don't start sounding like Vietnam war veterans.
"You don't know, man. You weren't there!"
YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH ABOUT THE GREAT FLIPPER WAR!!
I'd hope he'd at least allow me to have my real name in the credits rather than my handle.
no, there won't be an updated credits list for ANH:RHD. There will only be additions if its for people who are directly involved with anything i need help with when doing the HD version.
In fact the way the credits list is created will be totally changed when i get around to ROTJ:R. It will feature only people who have had a direct input in the edit by working on it or helping out in some other way, but not just for inputting suggestions. The credits list is becoming longer and longer each edit, with many posting a comment just to get on the credits list. It's become a nightmare to keep track on everything so it has to get shrunk down. It will now only have a general "thanks to everyone at OT.com....etc" sort of thing.
Perfectly understandable. You'd have to extend the music at the end so much just to fit everyone in! :p
That's probably for the best, Adywan. The list will probably grow too long if everyone who comments is included.

Oh good. IMHO you should do this for all three films... the long long long long credits of forum-names on ANH:R is pretty ridiculous.

Aw man, from first on the list to off the list ;-)
Ah well. Perfectly understandable, Ady! I'd hate for you to jeopardise the flow of the music at the end because of all the people jumping on the Revisited bandwagon. At least I'll hopefully have my name in my all-time favourite movie :-)
I am still in your Howard the Duck: Revisited credits as agreed right? :-p

Ditto. ;)
I donated and arranged a fundraiser to make the movie great, not to get my name in credits. I really just want the film to be as good as it can possibly be, and if a little bit of money (which is a relatively easy thing to get) can help that, then consider it done
^Yes, totally agreed. No harm in hoping for something, though. ;)
How about axing the member names in the credits (of all future "Revisited" projects, ANH:RHD, ESB:R, and beyond included) and including them in special "additional credits" section on the DVD instead?

Now that's a good idea! As much as people, including myself, would like to have their name in the edit, your idea is much more logical. You can have as many pages in the menu as needed of the originaltrilogy members who contributed somehow. That way there would be no need to extend the credit music to accommodate the extra credits.
That could be a good way to deal with it. Saves Ady having to do extended music in the credits and would solve the issue of the credits getting longer as more and more people support ady's thread/contribute. You could even have the credits just in list form accessible from the dvd menu of the main disk.
EDIT: Misread ChainsawAsh's post. I've just paraphrased what he said.
That's what you get for staying up all night editing without caffeine.
