Hello Everyone,
I need to get a hold of a DVD9 - PAL version.
Anyone out there that can help me?
Rapidshare only has the DVD5 up and all the Torrents only have NTSC DVD9 version.

I gave my cousin a copy of ANH;R for Xmas.
He calls me last night and says he watched it, and honestly doesn't beleive it was an 'edit' (which was somethng he'd never heard of, not being as geeky as me). He insisted that's what Star Wars was always like.
So, thinking I was lying to him (and apparently not watching the bonus features) he rented the GOUT at the videostore, and then accused the videostore of renting "cheap bootlegs."
So Adywan, it seems you're edit is so good, it's re-writing the fabric of reality.

PURIST was just something Ady did for fun, which is why there's only one version. You'd have to figure out a way to take the subtitles and apply them yourself, I believe. I know its possible, but I'm not sure how.

Hi all, I was wondering if somebody could give me a hand. I have the DVD-5 version of Ep IV revisited and now I would like to get my hands on the DVD-9 version as well as the The Purist Edition. I have never used torrents before and I am having trouble locating the files on Rapidshare (which is what I used last time when Fanedit had the links on its page.) Could somebody help point me in the right direction?

I have been trying to find a seeded torrent for the purist edition for over a year now. Is this available for download anywhere anymore?

Ok I watched this and was AMAZED and I mean AMAZED.... This guy is a genius, He sure shown Mr Lucas how this should of been done.... I have seen the trailers all over youtube and on the DVD for Adywan's
SW EP V -ESB, but where do I get it? has it been completed and released? will he be doing SW EPVI - RotJ?
This guy is a SW god....

EP V has not been completed. Any torrent you see for it is just Ady's colour corrected version of the 97 SE (technically the 2004 version with edits to revert it back to it's 97 state). He is working on V and he will do the whole saga. But that's far off, V will probably see a release date of 2010.

Has anyone ever made a complete video comparison of the 2004 dvd to the EP:IV :R dvd-9? i know doubleofive has hundreds of screenshot comparisons but has anyone done the whole move similar to Ady's test shot comparisons? Might be a little difficult to keep them synched and some places will have to be different (like Kenobi's hut).

^I've thought about that too and think it would be a neat idea. (I just got Wookieegroomer's ANH splitscreen yesterday, so that brought up the idea for me again)
For the part with the arm on the floor in the cantina, they'd have to include all three of Ady's versions. That could be a 4-way splitscreen! ;)

I thought about that too. If this comparison was done as a DVD, you could use the angle feature to have the different versions (and possibly the purist changes) and only show 1 split screen at a time.

The problem with a split screen like Wookie Groomers with ANHR is the editing changes. Frames cut here or there, things rearranged, added, deleted. I'm sure its possible, and it would be awesome, but I do not envy the one who takes it on.

Discussing the Aurebesh text on the ESBR thread inspired me to resurrect my project of translating what I could from ANHR. Here are my results, Ady can correct me if he feels like it.
I used the DVD-5, so I'm not sure if the text is clearer on some of these with the DVD-9. I'm not sure how much help that would be anyway, since the DVD resolution isn't the best for text like this anyway.

Hey guys, could one or a few of you be bothered to seed the NTSC DVD9 for a bit? I've got the Xvid, but the DVD9 is the final one, and I'd love to see it in its finished form. I'm staring at no seeders at 79%. Everyone knows how frustrating that is, right? Thanks guys. =)
