I rode that on the begining of a little video from Youtube (A George Lucas interview):

- "Georges Lucas, always wanting to cash in, released Adywan's version with his name on it. However Lucas still prefers his own crappy special edition"

It is the 4th video on this page

Anybody knows what does it mean ? Is it a fake interview ?

Its a fake video, using Lucas' frequent awkward pauses to make it look like he doesn't know how to react to Revisited.  It's pretty funny.

But I was wondering if the intro text was true... Or do we know if Lucas saw that version and what does he think... (Alhough we don' t care :) )

I think the closest person we have to the main cast / crew who at least has a copy is Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca).  There's a picture somewhere in the thread of him receiving a copy.  He should like it, as he's complained for years about Chewie not getting a medal at the end of the movie!

I was amazed to see how people can change... Mayhew looks so more human than in the trilogy !

OK, my download is now complete. Everybody talks about an ISO to unpack. What I have are .VOB, .BUP, .IFO all in a 4,7 GB file called VIDEO TS. There's an audio TS wich is empty.

Can somebody tell me how to burn a standart DVD with it ? (I use NERO)

I think you can just copy VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS to a data dvd. your DVD is already built

DVDs can be DVD-Video or DVD-Audio.  In a DVD-Audio, the VIDEO_TS folder would be empty (though usually those discs contain a DVD-Video portion as well, so players not equipped to read the audio part can still play it).  In a DVD-Video, the AUDIO_TS folder is empty.

In all honesty, for 99% of players, you DON'T need the AUDIO_TS folder.  But, there are a select few DVD players that read the AUDIO_TS folder first, and if it's not there they choke.

There should be an option in Nero to make a DVD-Video somewhere, or Video DVD, or whatever.  Use that, drop the two folders in, and you're set.  Alternatively, you can make a data DVD, drop in the two folders, and you're also set.

Actually what I've done was to drag only the VOB files, wich were the only ones I could select (in create a DVD video) what for my PC worked during 20 mintutes (he fusionned what had to be, notably)

But... Aaaaaarrghhhh !!!!!!!!!! My Nero is a test version and I don't have the licence for the pluggin to decode the sound in 5.1 Dolby... !!!

... Then I haven't burned it now.

So, if I make a data DVD instead, do you think it will run like any DVD on any player (and allow me to have the 5.1 channel with it ?) ... And is there an advantage in one of those way to create the DVD(Sorry for all these questions, and thank you !)

EDIT: In DVD Data Nero tells these kind of files won' t play like a normal DVD. Does it lie for I pay them the 5.1 pluggin ?!

don't unpack the ISO. Nero will burn the iso image file. Just open nero and when the new compilation box appears just click "open" and select the iso then burn.

A better way of burning (because many people have problems burning with nero and to be honest it isn't very reliable), just download the free burning tool IMGBURN then you can  just open the iso and burn. Its a much better burner than nero and the discs are much more compatible than any i have burned using nero

Thanks, but you didn' t understand: I don' t have it in ISO form. All is already built.

However, instead of sleeping I burned the DVD as a Data disc and you know what ??? NERO lied to me ! It dared !... Because it works perfectly and is taken by my player as any DVD !

Thanks again men ! I watched ten minutes and it' s a pity I have to stop it to go to sleep. The colors are amazing, and I could appreciate the sense of details you have that was missing to the original, as to the special editions. Great work ADY ! Going somewhat OT:

Well, I have used nero for years and years and found it to be very reliable... Unless you're talking about the later versions - I'll probably never use anything later than version 6, they've just become too bloated. And nero express = hate ;).

And for anyone having trouble with nero, try using the core app 'Nero Burning ROM' and not nero express or whatever the other apps are called.

Yep, you're right. I used Nero express and it sucks. But my copy is ok it seems.

I didn't watch the entire movie but checked chapter by chapter that it worked, and it seems it does.

I noticed the equalisation filter in Nero express for sound remastering makes really poor results compared to the ancient version I have on my good old steam computer. ;)
