I would like to address something I have just learned from watching Empire SE. I have learned that in the sound mix of the SE/2004 DVD, Yoda's voice is all messed up in the "stew-eating" scene. The voice has been re-pitched into a high-pitched squeal almost. I immediately thought this was odd, and to make sure I wasn't hearing things, I tested my pre-SE Laserdiscs and GOUT DVD. Sure enough, his voice was deeper and more, well, Yoda. You can hear the difference particularly in the line - "Why wish you become Jedi?"
Please add this to your sound editing notes for the audio side of Empire Revisited.

Adywan (or anyone else):
Can you identify some fonts used on the official cover?
I'd like to get the font for the back body text, as well as the "Star Wars Revisited" font from the spine.
I'm working on a cover for the Purist Edition, and I'd like to match the official cover as much as possible.
Thanks!
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

This should help:
Thanks for the info, Adywan. Very helpful!
OK. I think I'm finished my cover for the Purist Edition. Here it is:
Dowload the hi-rez version HERE.
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
Nice cover. Very unique!
Considering Adywan went through all the effort of taking the blue out of the film, Vader sure does look blue on those covers!
;)
True. I think a better shot of Vader would be the one from the original soundtrack LP back cover with the starfield superimposed.
My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.
I used that Vader because it was almost exactly the same as the Vader Adywan used as the basis for his painting. I modified it to look as much as possible like the Vader in the painting.
The "concept" for the cover was that the Purist edition is a more simplified version of SW Revisited, hence the "simplified" version of the painting I was shooting for.
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
I was just joking, of course. Adywan's Vader head is blue in his painting. I just thought it was funny since he spent so much effort (and still is) de-blueifying the saga.
Ok, I get it now.

Nice cover there Erikstormtrooper. Any chance of it being added to the ANH:R page on Fanedit.org, to go along with the other ones there? And some 'disc art' to go with it would be good too.
Disc art is easy. Ady made his red Death Star art. Someone else (forget who) made a green Purist Edition version from that.
I took that to the extreme. Ready?
I loaded up Ady's disc art and isolated the SW logo. Then I loaded up the Purist Edition art and isolated that text. Both of those were put on separate layers.
Now, I just used the Hue and Brightness/Contrast controls to create a whole array of colors, both with and without the Purist Edition text. I also copied the SW logo and color shifted it between gold and silver. The reason for isolating the logo in the first place was because it ended up getting color shifted along with the main disc art, so now I had the logo in blue, green, purple and so on. That wouldn't work, so I had to isolate it first to keep it in the gold/silver range.
So between gold and silver logos, Purist or non, and 9 different main colors, I've got 36 different combinations to label discs I give to people.
For the record, between mailing them to people I know on other forums and some local friends, I must have given out at least a dozen copies of SW:R since its release.
My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.
I've made at least half a dozen copies of SW:R for others. It's fun. I describe it as a 'jaw dropper.'
So, uh, I didn't read all 250 pages of this topic, but I did all I could with the search function and it doesn't look like anyone's asked this.
Could anyone post the trivia subtitle track from the DVD? I don't have the space (shameful, I know) to download the whole DVD just for the subtitles. I suppose the simplest way would be to rip it to idx/sub.
You just want the changes? The visual ones can be found in my signature. As for the subtitle track text itself, I'm not sure how to go about doing that.

Oh, yeah, I guess the stuff in your signature should be enough. Thanks!
in case you missed it,
adywan mentioned in the ESB:R thread that he got a nice review for this in an article , here:

HI Guys
I joined up just so I could post here
I discovered this fan edit last week and have just finished reading the first 106 pages of the thread.
Man what a roller coster it must have been for you Adywan -
(at least) 2 computer melt downs, 1 Complete plank sending an unsolicited, unnecessarily ignorant and idiotic email the NHS proving just how stupid they are (FYI - its better than the Irish Health service by a frickin' mile)
from the few clips of this edit I have seen on youtube (Thanks to shellatella) I have to say I am itching to see this edit on my TV next chance I get.
there is one thing I noticed with the Yavin Battle, (& its something that has bugged me for a while now)
Red leader says "Stay there, I just lost my starboard engine"
the next shot is of him getting shot in his Starboard engine right before he crashes.
is this how he dies in this new edit or have you concocted a new and better death for him?

Ok evidently I am doing something wrong. Even from the link you gave, I can't figure out how to download this thing. Is it only available for download or can I buy a dvd. And if its only available for download. How do I download the entire thing. The only thing I got from that link was like the opening menu to a dvd.
Jason
Do you mind reading the rules? We don't purchase anything here.
As far as your problem goes you need to get all the files in the archive then unpack them.
I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

When you get there, scroll down past all the case artwork (those track listing inserts were created by yours truly, btw. Need to get them to put my name on it.)
Click on one of the links that says "100MB Archives", depending on the format you want. That will bring up a list of Rapidshare links. Click on those until you have all the necessary files.
Once you've got them all, use WinRAR (a Zip/UnZip type program) to open the #1 file. That will subsequently open the rest of them in sequence.
You'll end up with an ISO file (unless you got the XVID AVI version). Go into Nero or some other DVD burning program and choose "Burn Image to Disc". Put your blank in your drive, choose that ISO file and you're on your way.

Well, let's see; this makes my second post and there are 261 pages to this thread; so it would be easy to miss something. But now I know - and knowing is half the battle.
