lol, no that's not it. You pay for a 4 day pass, you get in all 4 days. The thing you missed is that the convention is actually a FIVE day event, with the Fan Club-only day being the first day of the con. I believe as long as you sign up for the fan club before mid-April you will be able to get the special Fan Club lanyard when you pick up your entry badge, which will allow you to get in on the first day.

No, you read it totally wrong. The convention runs from Friday through Monday for the general public (4 days). Members of the FC get in one day early, Thursday. The $110 is also the early registration price. The at the door price will be $125 and you probably won't be let in Thursday.

Think of that Thursday as the equivalent to Comic-Con's Wednesday preview night. You only get in that night if you've preregistered a 4 day badge. This is the same concept. The difference is that CIV is running Friday through Monday (Memorial day) with the 5th day being Thursday.

Well I don't know about an OT.com Celebration, but at every Star Wars Celebration fan groups are able to reserve their own table where you can hand out fliers and spread your shameless geek propaganda to every fat stormtrooper who walks by. If there was enough interest here and enough people willing to volunteer time to sit at the table each day, we could set up an OT.com/FanEdits.com table at Celebration IV. I worked the TFn/Fan Force table at the last two Celebrations and I had a lot of fun meeting people who I'd only ever talked to previously online. I was also given a special volunteer badge which allowed me to get into C3 an hour before it opened (no waiting in line!) and the merch area was also open early to all volunteers and VIPs.

Anyone want to guess how long tickets will last? I'm in a financial tight spot right now and I wont be able to purchase my 4 day pass for at least a couple of weeks.

I wouldn't worry about them selling out. Despite insanely long lines, celebrations in the past haven't been known to stop selling tickets. I'm sure you'll be able to get tickets at the door if absolutely necessary.

I bet the Celebration Europe will be better than the US one. It just figures. Like in 2005 when they showed all 6 movies in London...they'ed never do that in the US. In fact there's a lot of people who'd like to see the OT in theaters but Lucasfilm won't allow it. Sure it was a special thing they did in London for when ep III came out, but it never happened in the US even though people would have loved it.
Also, Gencon did an awful job at the other Celebrations. Lucasfilm continues to use them to run these things. I may go, but not expect anything. Just go at least knowing the fans are cool, but the rest will blow. It's a good reason for all the fans to come together who actually appreciate the movies. The rest is just a money-grubbing free for all.
