will you be posting it on a website or releasing it on a disc?
Projects i've released have been/are released through my website as RARs and through usenet, this should be no different.
This is a long range project. Inspiration is a strange beast. The asciimation is wonderful as it is, and Mr. Jansen has his own internal clock on when it will get finished.
But in preparation for that day, i'll be using this thread to discuss options on final presentation and other preparatory aspects. (maybe even a beta)

And why hasn't anyone added an awesome .midi soundtrack?
There's a version of the SW Asciimation on youtube with a soundtrack.
Almost 10 years ago, I did a dictionaroake version of the Star Wars Crawl with midi accompanyment:

The idea of doing the entire SW Asciimation is definitely in the mind. Other text-2-speech options can be created as well.

I would prefer IBM speaker music, complete with effects!
Multiple soundtracks utilizing old skool computing technics is very much something to consider and seems logical. (got some practice with multiple audio options with my recently competed AESB project) Please suggest places to find SW compositions in 'x' formats. I've got a bunch of midi's which i'll pull out to see which music fits with the created scenes.
Also for discussion will be how to transfer from the 67x14 character resolution to the largest of the day resolution. The two options i'm seeing are A. a pixel by pixel translation and B. character translation. A. would end up with huge massive jaggies, and B. would be require a new transfer, but would have smooth edges. Most likely both options will be done. Need to figure out the automation process in the mean time.
For whatever reason I also forsee an Aurebesh fonted third option. Which will probably make zero sense.
The SW Asciimation began in 1997, at that time the public was just beginning to flock to the internet, online video was rarely attempted. By the time this project gets completed bluray might be long forgotten and most movies get rendered at outrageous resolution so they can be projected on massive engineered cloud formations so a whole city can watch one program.
But at that time, the SW Asciimation will be there.
