SIMA COLOR CORRECTOR PRO-SERIES MODEL SCC

Does anyone have any experience with this?  Am I better off using it for my Panny DVD recorder or through my capture card for best results?

I found only 1 article and it stated that these work quite nicely with a DVD recorder.  With that said I guess I need to understand my LD's settings better when it comes to the V-DNR and whether or not to use it and which connection would be better suited....s-video or composite(which I know gives a cleaner picture than the s-video on playback).

I believe this was the only model that had a composite connection and I got it for $35.00USD which wasn't bad.

Thanks in advance.

I found another tidbit that stated using the s-video in and the composite out for captures produces a better picture.

I wish I was more fluent in all this stuff....it would certainly make it easier.  It's a good thing for me that there is a section here just for this kind of thing.

I think learning this stuff is most of the fun.

Agreed.  Some of what I've learned led me to this purchase....now I've got to figure out what it's capable of and how to best utilize it for LD transfers......
