Dont know if this has been posted, but there's a new Rocky movie coming this december with Sylvester Stallone back as Rocky. Burt Young also returns to his role of the drunken brother in law Paulie. Stallone directed again.

Looks like it might actually be good.

From what I read on Wikipedia (take it how you will), it will be called Rocky Balboa. In the modern age, a sports channel made simulated matchup between boxing champions and pit the young Rocky against the current champ, some black dude with a stupid name. Oh, wait, I remember. His name is Mason "The Line" Dixon. Rocky sees the match and decides to get back into boxing to make the simulated match a reality.

I heard that Lucasfilms was going to CGI Stallone for the boxing matches. That way it'll stick to original vision Stallone has for this movie.

What will move people to the theaters are boredom, and a mix of nostalgia over he original Rocky and curiosity on how the film will be. It's an easily predictable 2 weeks #1, and will probably be the highest grossing Rocky movie ever. Will it be good? Very unlikely. But audiences will pay.

I'd rather go see another Rocky movie than any other crapfest offered by Hollywood nowdays. It may not be great, but I'm sure it will be better than any of the SW prequels.

The only bad thing, besides a depends-wearing Rocky Balboa, is that Adrian is already dead in this one. Also confirmed by Stallone himself, Rocky does not die at the end. Which is a shame because it could made for some excellent storytelling and emotionally charged performances. But I guess Stallone wanted to ensure that he could depend on the character again the next time he's in a career hole.

This sounds about right. In all honesty, Stallone should've concentrated on building his career as a screenwriter after the first Rocky. He may not have made as much money, but his career would have been more interesting and less "car-crash" interesting.

I dont think they asked her to be in it. I read somewhere that she actually wanted to do it, but the producers didn't want her. Anyway she's going to appear in archive footage.
