Revenge of the Sith + The Clone Wars 4 hour Supercut 2020 (V4) (Released)

[Update v4]

I made a supercut of Revenge of the Sith spliced together with the Siege of Mandalore. It’s the 4-hour movie we all have dreamed of.

Kindly email me to request the link if you are interested to see it.

rioreverso@gmail.com

Since the commencement of this project, I have made few adjustment and refinement to the edit. The latest version now is the fourth iteration.

What’s in this Supercut:

  • The movie started with a custom made title crawl. “Episode III” is removed from the title as to make this supercut some sort of standalone spin-off movie. After the title crawl then cut to “Old Friends Not Forgotten”, added with scene where a Venator dropping out of hyperspace, so to make the transition smooth.
  • The Battle of Coruscant and Siege of Mandalore as it happened at the same time, the movie will cut back and forth between the 2 battles.
  • Obi Wan communicates with Ahsoka and Bo Katan after he said goodbye to Anakin and left Coruscant for Utapau to hunt for Grievous (in the previous edit this scene was put when Obi Wan already landed on Utapau, so thanks to some of the viewer’s feedbacks I changed it)
  • Full Jedi Council meeting edited together into one full scene uninterrupted
  • Order 66!!
  • Then the rest is history…
  • Vader picking up Ahsoka’s lightsaber scene is at the post credit, then fade to black

Please leave your thoughts and feedback. This will help me make a better and more flawless supercut in the future.

Please enjoy!

This looks really good. I think adding Vader as a post-credits scene though seems a little odd. Ideally, I think you can fade out on the Binary Sunset shot, not iris out. Then fade back in to the Lambda shuttle landing on whatever planet that Venator is on. It can function as an epilogue.

That’s a good idea too. Maybe I will consider that in my next version of edit. Thank you for your feedback.

This was very enjoyable, and I have few criticisms outside of some minor quibbles. Namely, some of the transitions: I think you had left the establishing shot of the Senate before cutting back to TCW, after which then goes to the interior of the Senate with Palpatine at his post. Also things like Obi saying “who could have done this?” which would then normally cut to Anakin killing the separatists, now cuts to Asokha. Not exactly a mistake, but a removal the visual dovetail that existed in the base film. Sometimes the score contradicts itself during some transitions. However other times the transitions are seamless and I genuinely was caught off guard when the film had switched tracks, so to speak.

I think it is made better as a text with the inclusion of the TCW characters, the humanization of the clones through Rex and the pacifism displayed by Asokha that the jedi dogma keenly disregard in adjacent scenes. Darth Maul’s presence also helps tie the film back to the first episode thematically.

What would really bring it together is a companion fan edit that makes AOTC & the preceding necessary TCW episodes two acts of one movie.

This sounds great.

Ultimately what I really think we need is an edit of everything from the beginning of Clone Wars to the end of Rebels streamlined into a series of movies with all the filler thrown out and all the arcs spliced together properly. So a couple CW movies leading up to a merger of RotS and SoM, followed by a couple movies with the important bits from Rebels leading up to R1 and the OT.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and criticisms. I admit there are few hiccups and choppy transitions along the movie which may disturb the the flow thematically. I did struggled a bit on where to fit each scene seamlessly as there was no clear cut chronological order towards the end the movie (not that I know of). As this is my first experience in editing, I’m hoping to improve further in my future version of the edit.

This will need a whole new supercut.😉

I did completed one supercut on all the Mandalore-related episodes in Rebels. That’s a good start

Star Wars Rebels: Mandalorian Civil War

Another similar project I started is about all the Mandalore-related episodes in Clone Wars. It is still in brainstorming stage but editing is already on its way

Clone Wars Mandalorian Arc

So coupled these two with RotS + SoM, they can be a good Mandalorian trilogy 😉

So a couple CW movies leading up to a merger of RotS and SoM, followed by a couple movies with the important bits from Rebels leading up to R1 and the OT.

That is a good suggestion. I’m thinking movie about the Rebellion would be dope (Rebellion episodes in Rebels + R1 + Episode IV).

@Solemn.Philosopher Yes it’s the original theatrical cut. I want to keep the canon original as possible. The New Canon Cut sounds cool though but I haven’t seen it yet.

Okay I just got done watching this, and I loved it. I don’t think I’ll be able to go back to an unmerged RotS after this, it just meshed so perfectly in my opinion.

Only two minor issues stood out to me:

  1. The scene where Obi-Wan has a hologram conversation with Ahsoka, are you sure that scene is supposed to take place after Obi-Wan arrives on Utapau? The way he says “I’m being sent to hunt down General Grevious on Utapau”, makes it sound like he hasn’t gone there yet. Would this scene fit better a bit earlier, right before Obi-wan leaves?

  2. If you decide to keep the final Vader scene as a post credits scene, I think you should have it fade to black at the end. It currently ends abruptly, which is awkward.

Now I just really need a movie edit of Rebels so I can have a more concise conclusion the Vader/Ahsoka and Obi-Wan/Maul story arcs without having to sit through all the filler.

Yes, I’ve heard this arguments a lot and you’re not wrong at all. It’s just my argument here is the way the creator shows hooded Obi Wan I thought is a visual cue that he is already on Utapau regardless of the line “I’m being sent” . This is just my headcanon.

Hi, do you plan to add the gameplay from Jedi: Fallen Order where Kal is getting trained & his master feels something wrong with the force & he says that they have to leave right away? If you can I would really appreciate it!!

Im waiting for an emailed response on the download link or watch link or whatever it is, but while I do so I was wondering if this version is using the 4k version of Revenge of the Sith on Disney+.

Im not sure if you have seen this, but regarding no clear cut chronology of SoM and the end of RotS, here is a link you might want to check out: https://decider.com/2020/05/19/star-wars-revenge-of-the-sith-clone-wars-finale-viewing-order-guide/
