I've always wanted to own an original Revenge of the Jedi poster, but it's either unavailable or too expensive. So I thought "OK, I won't own an original one, I'll do my own poster". So what I need to know is...

1- Where can I find a good, high-res image of that original red Revenge of the Jedi poster?

2- What should I do to print it out so it looks like an authentic movie poster?

Any ideas?

Don't knw where you could get a scan good enough for a largeposter, but once you do, burn it to CD and take it to Kinko's. They have large format printers that can easily make you a nice official looking onesheet.
What do you mean there's no ice? I gotta drink this coffee hot?!

I'm not from north america. But I'll check out if there's anyplace here that would do such a thing.

If you're in the UK the larger Klick or Prontaprint shops may have the machinery needed - if not they'll probably know where (and who) does...

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

i've already looked into buying one myself Ric and your right... they're expensive bastards..
the guy i was dealing with wanted $1500 for his...
i told him to roll it up and put it you know where...

one thing you could do.... if possible...
would be to get a hold of someone who owns the poster and ask them if they can scan certain parts of it and send them over to you... then just put it together like a jigsaw puzzle... im sure it will be a bloody huge file but at least that way you can get the highest resolution picture possible...

Just so everyone knows. Something like 98% of all Revenge posters are fakes (Don't quote me on that number though). It's one of the most bootlegged posters on the market. #2 is Raiders of the Lost Ark. If you want one bad enough just get a cheap one on eBay. Almost all of those are fake anyway.

A real poster will more than likely be folded. There is a lot of controversy about wheatear any rolled version survived at all. Almost everyone agrees that if they did there are only around 100 of them. I know I've never seen one.

A real one has a black lower right hand corner. The fakes have a blues cloud thing. Do your research and you'll know what I’m talking about with the cloud thing.

If you do buy one with a blue lower right hand corner don't pay more than 15 bux for it. It IS a fake.

I don't really mind of it being fake, it's ok. I'd never be able to buy an original 1982 revenge poster, as it's one of the most expensive star wars memorabilia available around. So ok, I'll check it out on local websites, and if I can't find anything, I'll check on eBay. Unfortunally, since I'm in south america, it'll take some time for it to get here, and it'll be kinda expensive to ship it to here - besides, I don't really trust eBay that much.

i agree on buying a fake but the real problem is trying to find someone who has a fake....
i mean theres no doubt they're around but when i was looking for one everyone "claimed" there's was the real deal...
which i know is a bunch of BS

but if you can find anyone who is selling fakes please let me know ASAP...

See what happens when your all nerves - I've been reading the threads and scouring my many HD's and google to help evryone out today - Like I said it keeps me busy - My baby will be leaving in an hour now........

Also, there's an image of it in "The Art of Return of the Jedi" (book). You could probably get an awesome hi-res scan from that--it's full page, but just small enough to all fit on a flatbed scanner. I don't wanna kill my spine, but if you can't find it anyplace else, I'd be willing to scan it for you

I'm not one to hang up movie posters around, but for this I'd make an exception.

And since I'm not an uber-collecter who must own every variation of everything, a fake one will do me fine.
