Returning to Jedi/DVD Shrink Question

I downloaded DVD Shrink to compress Returning to Jedi down to fit on a single-layer disc. When I tried to play the disc in my player (a Samsung that's never given me much trouble with any dvd's, cd's or mp3's), I get a message from the player that says the disc will not play in that machine. This is unusual in the sense that generally if that machine won't play a disc, it doesn't acknowledge that there's a disc in the tray. I've tried this on other machines with similar results, but the DVD-ROM drive of my computer recognizes it as a dvd and plays it just fine. I burned it as a dvd, and not a dvd rom or a data dvd (I followed the same burning process as when i burned Building Empire, which turned out fine). I also tried compressing it with a program called DVD2One, with the same results. Has anybody had similar problems or does anybody have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

All documentaries should be this good, btw.

Are you in NTSC land or PAL land? If you are in the USA, your DVD player might not play the 2 layer version since it is PAL.
