End of april???? Why so long. All you have to do is re-render the file. Even on the slowest computer this shouldn't take a week.

With comments like this you have my suspicions running high about this project. Why make a new thread like the X0 one? Or are you hoping for the attention that a project like the X0 brings in? Do you actually have anything to show or did you post a corrupt file just to get people off your back that wanted to see footage when in fact you have nothing to show but wanted some more attention? I really hope not, but saying that its going to be the end of April until you post the video now can make suspicions rise and will cause people to think that this is actually the reason, even though it may not be.

I really think you should prove me wrong and repost a working clip ( which is quick and easy to do so no excuses there) or i, for one, will not be giving your thread any more attention

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but i took time out of my busy schedule to try and help you earlier in the thread and then at the first sign of people losing interest you throw your dummy out of your cot, threaten to leave, then don,'t, then want the tread to die and start another one. If things have just got on top of you and you now realise that this edit is beyond your abilities then just tell us that the project is cancelled. You'll earn a lot more respect than stringing people along.

You criticisms aren't helping and the clip will be up by this time tommorow. I say tommorow because I'm on 56k. Good Day.
I can't say I find not being one of you people very dissapointing, I could make a splinter group.

So after that much boasting about what you're going to do to the movie and this and that, the first thing you turn out as part of "reinventing" of this film is a crawl generated with that little application that was posted about here a little while back. Can't really tell if that's progress or not.

And someone who isn't me, please tackle the wording in the crawl itself. I'm too tired and there's too much wrong with it.

Ok, where do i start.

Firstly using that crawl generator really isn't the way to go for this. I can't quite put my finger on what doesn't sit right with me but it does kind of make the crawl look like an old video game sequence. Secondly this program is going to cause a little problem for you. Once the crawl has finished how are you going to pan down and have the starfields match up? I'm not familiar with the crawl generator program but , if this is what you are going to use, then it would make life a lot easier for you if you could render the crawl without the starfield. You could add the starfield in later with one that would help you match the pan down.

And now on to the wording of the crawl.....

The crawl is there to give a slight backstory to what has been happening and then the last paragraph leads directly into the film. The way your crawl is worded you would have to begin the film where Luke enters jabbas palace, cutting out a huge chunk of the movie.

I seriously think you should go back and rethink your wording for the crawl. The second paragraph makes no sense because not once does Vader address the issue of the vulnerability of the death star to rebel attack (unless i missed something or you are planning to add this in your edit).
So don't forget that your last paragraph needs to lead straight into your next shot.

Everything I have read in this thread leads me to believe we will never see this edit. It will be a "vapor cut."

In any case, ROTJ would need a lot more help than a few bits tweaked here and there. It basically needs a "Phantom Edit" redo and I don't know if there's even enough good matieral in the film to save it.

TR-47? Is that supposed to mean something significant? could someone clue me in on this?


As far as I know TR-47 used to be a member here. He sold laserdisc transfers (and maybe other stuff) from people here on sites like ebay, and I think he was banned. So now he's not too popular in these parts.

I believe RemixerBoss is saying he IS TR-47. I'm guessing his edit was his way of holding up a mirror to us so that we can all see how rediculous we look. I hope that gave him some deep satisfaction.

It sure sounds like that, but I doubt he is. TR-47 is/was a smart dude, just one of ill-motivation. I remember when TR-47 was on the board, and their posting styles are totally different. TR-47 wrote his posts well. I think RemixerBoss is just kind of an idiot who's trying to get all the attention he can, and now that he can't anymore because he's proven himself an idiot, he's trying to claim to be someone who he knows has had lots of attention focused on him.
