Ive often wondered if people think the Son of God actually gives a shit about pro sports, and on the off chance that he does, that he prefers your teams.

I frequently pray for athletic sportsmen in tight lycra... no success as yet but I guess there's a first time for everything.

I just don't get the whole idea. Why did God bother with creation in the first place? And why fuss over us? I mean, so what if we don't worship you - just create another universe of people and this time don't fuck up and give them the option of not worshiping you.

Actually maybe that happened. Nietzsche was wrong; God isn't dead, he has just moved on.

"And on the seventh day, God rested"

Why the hell would god need a rest?? He's god! He can, apparently, do everything. But he needs a rest??? What kind of lame-ass god is that?

Brother Tebow says :

The Hebrew word, shabath, translated "rest" does not really refer to a requirement to sleep or take a break due to weariness. Most of the time it just means stob. God just stobbed making stuff, He is the boss so He can chose his own working week.

Oh, my bad. I now see what he meant, especially when he said that God isn't dead, he just moved on to New York.

And Bingo, that picture is both hilarious and terrifying.

The same reason you have a hobby/hobbies, whatever it/they may be.

So, I'm going to a Bible study with a friend when I'm done reading the Bible. He asked me a while ago and I just responded now. What do you think?

It's a fun read but it will only really take off if HBO make a series based on it.

Out of curiosity I'm going to attend a Sunday mass at a local Catholic church. Is there anything I should know? Should I dress nice?

As you aren't a Catholic you should let the priest know by placing your right hand (or both hands forming an X) against you chest when you approach him when he is offering communion and he will give you a blessing instead of wine and crackers.

They can only give out the body and blood of Christ to people who believe that is what they are doing.

Dress smart but not showy and have some change if you can afford it, you don't have to put anything on the collection plate but it's considered a bit off if you can and don't.

Follow the actions and if you don't know the words bow your head in silence.

Like all Christian denominations Catholics are evangelical so they welcome new faces.

Don't worry you will do fine.

How did it go Sean?

I went today at 12PM. It went very well. The Holy Ghost has not filled me yet.  I attended service. The mass was 45 minutes long and was a pleasant experience. During the mass there was 4 songs and had about 3 prayers. I love the architecture of the church and was surprised how ritualistic the church attendees were.
