A bit strange about Ric, though understandable. Ady isn't around much and has to wade through a lot, including Ric's schtick of the week. Maybe they just want to make it easier for Ady to find the actual discussion points.
Well, I PM'd ady a long time ago to make sure he was ok with Ric posting in his thread and he said go for it. But who knows?
I'm sure he's just having fun...........but I do hope Ric doesn't turn out like a guy called Wrenchien at another forum I post at. His posts got more and more bizarre to the point where he got banned. (not sure if that was the reason why, but I'm sure it played a big part) And it wasn't because he was being a troll or his posts were offensive or something, it's just that he'd make these MASSIVE posts about nothing in particular. He was pretty normal at first but it got worse and worse. Hard to explain without having witnessed it, really, but it's the only time in my internet "career" where I actually thought 'this guy is going crazy.' I still seriously think he had some kind of nervous breakdown at some point. :p
Don't worry, that will never happen to me.

Ady's thread gets a lot of external traffic, goofing off in the off topic is one thing, but I can see Jay and Moth3r wanting to keep serious and productive threads serious and productive. Which I think is fair enough. A lot of tight assed outsiders come here and seem socked at the lack of moderation, since the majority of outsiders appear in threads such as the ESB:R thread, I think they are wise to keep up appearances and avoid loosing traffic by getting rid of unnecessary and pointless spam posts.
In all honesty, we are allowed to get away with a lot on these forums, which is really what makes them worth sticking around for. It is really hard to find the combination of order and freedom that can be had on this forum.
