I think you’re over generalizing.

Catwoman wears more clothes than that.
It’s nothing but a misogynist and evil cartoon that holding women back!

Yeah…those are both pretty bad.
There’s nothing wrong with either of them.

Yeah. Should have added that qualification.
There’s nothing wrong with either of them.
Uhh… yeah.
There’s nothing wrong with either of them.
Uhh… yeah.
Nope. Attractive women are not bad.

Ooooh Matron! 😄

No, they’re not, but some representations of them are bad.
You also write “uhh… yeah.” as though it’s just incredibly baffling that someone could not see that those images are horrifying and misogynist. Well, they aren’t. They haven’t hurt anybody and there’s nothing wrong with either of them. As I said in another thread, I don’t believe that women are so weak and fragile that mere images such as those are going to crush their souls. I also don’t think that men are so brain dead that they’ll see images like those and then think that they have the right to treat women like shit. The original Star Wars poster has an image of a muscular Luke with his shirt torn open. Either that image is just as bad as these images (which is insane), or neither of them are bad, but the double standard is incredibly obnoxious.

Like Natalie Portman wearing a revealing dress?
EDIT: You do realized that this is probably incredibly offensive to the models and actresses that you’re complaining about? “You’re body is problematic and harmful to women. You shouldn’t dress that way!” I bet hearing that would be pretty insulting.

It is. You have a good point here.

They don’t hurt directly, but they can lead indirectly to culture which can hurt.

Well, yes, both should be equally treated.

They should, one way or the other.
I know but nobody who claims to care about objectification comments on male objectification.
