A sixteen year old is not a child.

in the US 16 year olds cant marry, vote, or any of those things. Ithey can just drive (and there some driving restrictions as well). I do agree that men dating much younger women is more excepted then a similar age gap between two men, I would call both situations very odd. Its one thing to be in your early 20s and in a relationship with a teenager but quite another to be 30s and with a teenager. Still you and I agree that should not be illegal  especially if its a long term relationship.

I'm not quite sure what the accuser's motives were, or what pressure was put on him, but it's pretty odd.

I guess it's all cleared up now, though, since both parties are saying it was consensual.

Still... gives me a pretty damn skeevy feeling thinking about a 45 year-old getting it on with a 16 year-old of any mixture of gender.

He probably should have said this right off the bat, because denying it and then recanting makes him look guilty of something, consenting or not.

Unfortunately, this sort of thing can overshadow or ruin a career even when one's name is cleared.

It almost looks like it might not be a hindrance.

I mentioned in the past that I have not been smoking weed because I was applying for a great job...well I got it!

It's an IT position at a large hospital. Worth every toke I didn't take.
